William wrote:Lest you think I'm claiming originator status, I have quite a few books in my extensive collection dating back to the fifties, little fetish humor volumes gloating over so-called cannibal funnies, often termed 'black humor' but sexy as all get out. And more than a few fantasy and science fiction comics and novels of the 40's through the 60's where the main point seems to be 'how many people gonna get et by those attractive beings?'... (Including an actual Bob Hope comic!)
Hope that wasn't too much of an info dump.
Any of that digitized? It'd be super interesting to read some classic vore zeens (hope I'm using that slang right). Understand my voraphile heritage as it were.

Pedophobia would be fear of children.

Re: Where it all began
Pedophilia is obsession with children. In true Latin, it translates to anyone who obsessively loves children.
An example of this would be an elderly person whom had lost all their descendants, that loved their own, and now just has dozens upon dozens of pictures of children, whether their own or otherwise. It's a coping mechanism for grief in this case.
(yes the example above is an actual, real world example)

Re: Where it all began
There were some giantess message boards in the early 90’s, vore was probably coined there.
Edit: I was looking through PMs from Gator (creator of the “Empire” series) at Giantess city, he wrote that the “Tiny Guys” message board was the first Giantess site in the early 90s, he’s not sure of the year. Back then around 1993, someone probably came up with the word vore.

Re: Where it all began
What I have gathered from the information we all have added to this thread (Except for me, I'm sorry about that) is:
Although the concept of vore can be traced to a very early period of mankind the name vore itself along with its medical term Vorarephilia have their origins placed around the 90's thanks to the advances of internet, but that's is just a likely theory since some magazines (Z I N E S) depicting vore from the 40's due exist but it is highly unlikely that the term was used back then.
Does everyone agree with this final statement?

What does it lack to be a perfect statement in your conception?

Such is an answer long in script, and too long for to write with a damn gamer-rage migraine.
The short answer is that I know that we don't have all the facts. I don't think getting them all is possible without a time machine.
