While the canister itself is unfamiliar, Xen is able to remember that Holli wields a shiskebab, which would need refueling after prolonged use. Which means she's nearby... and has been in battle. Lynn stands back up, scowling at Anna's advances towards Ruby. "Annalise! Contain yourself. No more "handling" of Ruby." Annalise pulls a face at this, before walking out in front of Ruby as the group resumes march. "Well..." Anna teases. "If *you* want to do anything Ruby, feel free to take what you want..." She turns her head back to Ruby with a wry smile. Lynn gives Kill a sigh. "You really are a handful, Anna. Come on, she can't be far."

Lynn's guess isn't wrong: only half an hour away, a bridge can be spotted, rope stretching along to a village. This must be Arroyo. But before that, a hooded man stands, blocking the way.

kill noticed the man as they got closer to the bridge and stops his advance and looks to lynn "i need a weapon" is all he says as he isn't sure where his gear is.

Um maybe it's like a troll where we need to answer a riddle but yeah we should be armed hehe....." I say laughing a bit nervous still blushing from Anna's fondling and touching

Taking note that our friend has been this way, Xen moves ahead and they reach what must be the fabled town. Looking on at the hooded man on the bridge, he readies himself for their approach to this individual.

"None shall pass." you hear from the cloaked figure. "Not before my challenge. This village is under my guidance and protection from the likes of you."
Lynn doesn't show any reaction, but Anna offers a cheeky smile, licking her lips. Already, she looks as though she's considering this statement a challenge.

Mistress Anna we shouldn't be mean to him he might have Holli prisoner or as a guest we don't know.." I blush lightly seeing her lick her lips as I grab her arm to hold her still

Kill will walk in front of the group with his weapon lowered and ask "what kind of challenge are you suggesting!" he shouted across the bridge unsure of why there would be a challenge at all

[Velka]

"The path to Arroyo is not open to the unenlightened. Face my challenge, or face my wrath." the man replies solemnly, without motion. A gale picks up across the rope bridge.

"I live, until you say my name. Then I perish, and am reborn anew," he calls out, a hand pointed towards the group with fingers outstretched.

Kill looks at him unsure for a minute before replying "if this is a riddle is the answer a phoenix?" unsure if this was indeed a riddle he couldn't think of any other answer but what could this possibly mean?

"You are mistaken. I will an attempt for each one of you." replies the figure coldly.

"I look nervous wondering what he means as I try looking through my head for riddles I heard as a child in the caravans" (do I roll?)

(Roll intelligence for a clue then)

(The bard dice is something you can give to an ally's roll.)

"I chant a little song giving a boost to Xen try of getting a hint out of the bridge keeper"

The bridgekeeper looks to each of you. "Three humans, and those other creatures," he says with spite towards Lynn, who doesn't reflect any reaction for him. "That leaves you with four attempts remaining." Unfortunately, Kill, you aren't able to recall anything about riddles; caravans aren't known for philosophical thought or wordplay.

Kill continues to rack his memories for some idea of what lives until its name is said, and is reborn thereafter, but there's no living creature that resembles that Lynn folds her arms in thought, while Anna grows bored and begins to play with Ruby's bust absentmindedly, earning a scowl from her mistress.
