A Deadly Discovery

Postby xenophylia » Sat Mar 18, 2017 2:05 am

Wiping the sweat out of his eyes Alex swung his machete once again, chopping at the dense foliage of the rain forest. He'd traveled several miles from the village and it felt like days- the oppressive humidity and intense heat literally sucking the energy out of him. More and more he began to see the folly in this expedition, much as his colleagues had back in the states. A human plant hybrid? Such a thing couldn't exist. Even the locals wouldn't serve as guides, though they seemed to embrace the legend with an almost religious fervor. But Dr. Jenkins wanted to prove that such a thing not only could exist, but that it did.

The ruined temple that he sought lay just up ahead. The natives assured him that “she”-for the creature was supposedly female as were all of her kind according to legend- would be found there. In his pack he had all manner of photographic and sampling equipment. But what he really wanted was to take her back alive and intact. But first he had to see her. It. He had no real expectations but couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement as the temple came into view.

The structure was in ruins as they'd told him. The jungle was in the process of absorbing it back into itself. The foliage had taken over, revealing only exposed parts of the stone structure here and there. The air was sweet with a hundred species of jungle flowers. How would he even know her when he saw her? He took out his camera and began taking pictures of the site as the light of day faded into evening. He'd make camp here- it seemed safe enough, and he did have a gun in the event that any of the jungle's nocturnal predators took interest. Then at dawn he'd begin scouring the grounds, hoping to find something that he and th e world at large had never seen before.

There was the subtlest signs of movement within the ruined temple, but nothing leaped out from the shadowy entrance to attack.

As the sun set further and further more of the flowers closed their petals for the night. If the plant creature did exist she would likely be doing the same, preparing to rest until the warm rays of the sun returned in the morning.

He awoke the next morning, refreshed by the coolness of the night. The jungle birds and insects resumed their cacophony as he began to scout the area, keeping his tent set up. He'd spend the day here, trying to photograph and classify any potentially new species. Immediately he saw several promising specimens, though certainly none of the carnivorous variety. Well at least he wouldn't leave empty handed. He began photographing them and taking samples, all thoughts of the real reason he'd come soon forgotten. His explorations took him deeper into the foliage, and each step seemed to reward him with a new find. In the first hour he found at least five specimens he couldn't readily identify. For some reason rare species seemed to thrive in the temple's vicinity.

The fragrance of the many flowers became more powerful as he ventured further, which dulled his olfactory senses. It als began to make him feel a bit dizzy, and he resolved to return to his tent after "a few more samples" to allow his head to clear.

In time a new scent wafted to her nose, a fragrance just detectable above the multitude of other yet somehow more enticing. If Alex were to follow it, it would lead right past his tent and into to the temple. And following sounded more and more like a good idea as he thought about it, almost as though the scent was compelling him to go to its source.

Indeed, the fragrance puzzled him. It was quite powerful, but attempting to find its source where he was searching produced nothing. He tried to put it out of his mind, but found himself becoming more and more curious. The closer he came to the temple's entrance, the stronger it was. Eventually he gave up resisting, knowing that his distraction would continue. He stopped by the tent, grabbing a small electric lantern which he assumed he'd need to see inside the temple. As he reached the entrance, it was clear that the scent came from inside. A cool breeze carrying the enticing scent wafted out of the darkness. Switching on the lantern, he slowly moved inside, The danger of exploring such a place alone never crossed his mind. He had to find the source.

For several minutes the scent led him through twisting and turning passageways, past rooms both empty and filled with all sorts of ancient artifacts.

It was at the very center of the temple that he found the source of the scent. It was a massive chamber the size of a cathedral, the ceiling had caved in allowing in sunlight and fresh air. The walls, floor and columns were covered in green; vines, leaves and moss; occasionally dotted with flowers of various colors. In the very center of the room was a massive flower, the petals were easily bigger than a man. And standing in the flower, thighs deep in golden nectar was a woman. At least it appeared to be a woman, but as Alex got closer her details became clearer. Her skin was pale green, several thin vines swirled in decorative patterns over her skin. Long locks of yellow-green hair partially obscured her violet eyes, which were gazing right at him.

The room was much like an oasis in the desert, and for a moment Alex couldn't believe what he was seeing. A lush green paradise had arisen from the grey stone of the temple. The room was clearly the source of the scent as well. He scanned the chamber trying to take in it's unexpected beauty. And that was when he saw it. Or her. He couldn't immediately decide what he was seeing.

It was an enormous flower, the petals spread wide and upwards to face the sun. Emerging from the center was what looked like a human female. He was immediately struck by her beauty. She appeared to be sunk into the center of the flower up to her thighs, and for a moment Alex feared she was being devoured by the flower itself. He'd heard the legends of supposed "man eating" plants but of course didn't believe them. He walked a bit closer, ready to spring to her rescue.

But on closer inspection he could see that the woman was part of the structure of the flower below. Her features merely mimicked those of a human. Even her hair- long and lustrous- had a greenish cast. It had done a remarkable job of mimicking a human form. But it was her eyes that struck him most of all. They were an indescribable shade of violet, and they held his gaze with something that seemed to radiate intelligence. The two creatures studied each other for a moment in silence. The plant girl glistened with a viscous nectar, and various small vines writhed and twisted at the base of the flower. Whatever it was, it was clearly a living creature.

"Hello...." he said, waiting to see if the creature reacted at all to the sound of his voice. It was utterly ridiculous to believe that such a thing could be intelligent. But those eyes. He had to try to communicate with it.

The plant woman didn’t say anything back, perhaps she didn’t have a voice, but she smiled when Alex spoke. She beckoned him to come closer, and at that moment the scent that lead him there intensified, urging him to obey.

Maybe she was incapable of speech. But her expression indicated that she'd not only heard him, but welcomed him. Her smile was warm and inviting. She motioned him to come closer, and he found himself moving forward almost involuntarily. The scent of her this close was so intense he could taste it on his tongue. Taste her. He moved closer still, his head starting to spin pleasantly from the intensity of her perfume.

As he approached several vines moved towards him. With surprising dexterity they gently removed his gear and clothing before retreating with the removed items to their original places. Alex probably didn’t even notice, entranced as he was in the plant-woman’s pheromones.

The motion of the vines didn't appear hostile, and he barely noticed what they were doing as they took his pack and items. Their touch was delicate and they seemed to be eager to lighten his load. As they did this he couldn't look away from the plant girl. He wanted to drown himself in the violet sea of her eyes. Such was the potency of the perfume that this all seemed totally normal to him. Being a botanist, he should have known he was under the influence of powerful pheromones- a few minutes in the open air would bring him to his senses. But he was already drunk with it, and it felt so good to just stand there and breathe in the wonderful scent while basking in her beauty. And he also felt a growing urge to please her, whatever the cost.

As he got close to the flower several of its leaves and a couple petals shifted to form a sort of ramp to allow him to climb up and into it. The plant-girl grasped his hand and gently pulled him in, moving to the side enough so he too could stand in the pool of nectar. For a moment she gazed at him, a soft smile on her lips. Then she opened her mouth slightly and blew a small pink colored cloud of spores into his face, as he breathed them in their aphrodisiac effects would quickly work their magic.

He climbed up willingly to stand beside her atop the accommodating flower, his legs immersed up to his calves in the syrupy nectar of the plant. She made as if to blow him a kiss, but instead a sweet cloud erupted from her mouth. Again the scent of the flower filled his nostrils, but this was 100 times more powerful. He felt his mind weaken, and any remaining fear or trepidation was washed away and replaced by a feeling of utter contentment. This was where he was supposed to be....with her. He returned her smile as the pheromones drained the last of his will.

The plant girl put her arms around him, and gently pulled him towards her and into a deep kiss. It wasn’t long before they started having sex.

He willingly submitted to her embrace. Her arms were soft as they pulled him to her, as were her lips as the met his in a kiss. She tasted sweet like nectar as his tongue slid inside her mouth. He began immediately to unbuckle his pants, allowing his raging erection to spring free. In an instant he was inside her- her anatomy felt wonderful human as he slid deep into her, his motions lubricated by more of the syrupy nectar. He moaned as he felt her muscles squeeze his cock in response to being penetrated. At this, their kiss became even more enthusiastic.

The two of them began dancing to a gentle rhythm only they could hear. There was nothing urgent in their lovemaking, since it seemed to him like they had all the time in the world to discover each other. Whether it was passion of the pheromones he'd never know, but despite her strangeness the whole situation felt absolutely right. It was as if he'd wanted this his entire life, and every fantasy he'd ever had was coming true.

Even if he had been paying attention Alex probably would have lost track of how long their lovemaking had gone on. It seemed as though they couldn’t tire, as though she were milking him for all he had. Eventually she pulled away slightly, signaling the end. She took his hands in her own and gently brought them up to her mouth, at which point she carefully put his hands into her mouth, and began to delicately pull him in.

He was completely spent by the time she pulled away. He'd lost count of the times he climaxed or the time they'd spent. She was seemingly tireless and continued to look at him with that oddly sweet smile.

When she pulled his hands to her mouth at first he thought she was simply kissing his fingers. But she began sucking them in, and he was in her mouth up to his wrists before he realized she had something else in mind.

“What are you doing!” he exclaimed, trying to pull away. But her hands held on and continued pushing him in as he felt her throat contracting as if trying to suck him in.

As she smiled there was a predatory gleam in her eyes. Another wave of pheromones washed over him, intending to keep him subdued and docile as she consumed him.

He tried to back up, but her hands were clamped around his wrists in a vice grip and he realized quickly he was not match for her strength. Another burst of the plant's perfume and his struggling quickly ceased. The fact that he was going to be eaten suddenly became ok. He was a scientist after all, and in nature sometimes the female ate its partner after mating. She had chosen him as her partner, and wasn't this a small p[rice to pay for the heaven she'd given him?

She pulled him in further, up to his shoulders now, and he ducked his head between her widely spread lips to allow her to swallow him further. He could feel the moisture and heat coming from within her. The sensation wasn't unpleasant, and it was accompanied by her wonderful perfume. He wondered briefly how long he'd remain alive inside her as his head passed her lips, her slick juices sliding him easily inside. All he could see was a long slick slide down inside her- the passage looked too narrow but he knew it would expand as he passed through it. With a pheromone induced smile he began his slow decent.

The way she worked him in, the way her tongue licked at his exposed skin, made it clear this wasn’t the first time she’d eaten a human. No doubt the natives had known this, this had to be why they didn’t accompany him. Bit by bit he disappeared into her. Eventually his feet disappeared down her throat with a gulp. She smiled contently as she lay down in her flower, the petals rising and curling up around her as she closed her eyes for a nap.
