Actually, you also had two bonus points from the previous round for ending two rounds in a row under five points. The next round, you'll get three additional bonus points. In case you missed it on the pdf, it caps at three, though.

2 points plus 1 point left over from the previous round plus 2 bonus points equals 5 points.

I make a coral reef in the ocean, leaving me with two points.

Not quite sure how to represent this so I just threw down the first thing to come to mind. 8 points on making the grasslands I've created lush/fertile year round. The idea is a land of plenty. Then 3 points on a forest nearby. Total of 11 spent.

Post script: I also forgot that the 'low power bonus' increases per turn until I was about to post. Putting the actual total for my turn at 13. I'll use 2 more points on making the forest a similar area of natural abundance.

Using 9 of them to expand my forest, 2 leftover. I also found a good icon for grasslands, feal free to revert it if you want.

I add two more forests and make them 'fertile lands' like the rest of the northeast. In addition, some mountains.

That grasslands icon is actually the kind of thing I was envisioning but couldn't manage to artistically articulate. And I did put out an open call to come up with a proper icon after all.

I took the liberty of adding the tile of desert to the map that Bright mentioned but didn't edit in. Hopefully I put it in the right spot. On to my turn:

7 points + 2 points left over + 3 points for low start = 12 points

I make the three kelp beds by the islands abundant and fertile and also add a lake covering one tile in the northeast and end my turn with three points.
