[Feature Suggestion] Text Wrapping

So I'm working on editing a good paragraph of text describing the character, selecting somethin I want to edit and whoops! My cursor drifts a just a few pixels down or up and...

Image
Welp. My selection is ruined. At this point it would be faster to just unselect, go back and try to select again than it would be to try and get my mouse back over to where I was. This is a source of great frustration and time loss for someone with unsteady hands such as myself. Most text editors have something called text wrapping to prevent this problem by constricting text to the viewable plane, but I can't seem to find an option for this.

Maybe it could be added? It seems like something that is probably relatively quick and easy to implement. Or does anyone else have any solutions they've used to get around this limitation?

This tends to be the nature of very old school editors (i.e. Notepad) and CSS/HTML editors. I'm not sure it is as easy as it sounds to implement a fix to.

You'd be better to write everything in something like Notepad++ and then copypaste into the field. This also avoids browser crashes and internet drop outs making you lose progress

Notepad has had text wrapping since... As long as I remember! It's a tickable option under the format bar. Regardless, that still presents a problem where I have to painstakingly select the paragraph in question or hold down the backspace key for a good 10 seconds to replace the old paragraph with the new one.

I could've sworn the old chat used to have text wrapping. I've never been stuck without at least having it as an option in an editor before.

I am not sure. I can't say I remember text wrapping.

Like I said. Notepad++. It will also help you know if your HTML and CSS is valid by pointing out missing closers etc. Easy to just move the whole thing over with. Select all, copy, paste.

Depending on the program usually just holding shift down and using the arrow keys allows for precise selection of text. Even when not in a word processing program (i.e. web browser) click and highlight the beginning of where you'd like to start and then shift key and arrow over to select what you'd like to with much more forgiveness on twitchy hand motion.
