"New Topic" Notification?

Postby Bumfuzzle » Tue Oct 30, 2018 7:27 pm

Is there a way to be notified through email when a new topic is made in a forum or sub-forum?

As far as I can tell there is no functionality or setting for this. Subscribing notifies you if there is any new post, and bookmarks are for new posts specific to an already made topic.
It seems like this would have been asked before, but if so I couldn't find the info.

Scroll down to see the "Subscribe topic" or "Subscribe forum" link to enable new topic or new reply notification by e-mail.

Yeah, I tried that. Problem is that subscribing gets you everything - new topics, and new replies.
Is there a way to only be notified for new topics, and not replies to pre-existing topics?

Oh you don't want the reply at all? Nope. No such function.
