Option to replace view permission for entire folder

Postby jaggedjagd » Sat Aug 07, 2021 3:28 am

Right now if you want to replace view permission for an entire folder you have to replace the view permission for every single item within that folder as well. It seems changing it for the folder does not automatically change it for the items inside. (For example right now I would like to make my entire gallery available for registered users only, but I would have to go through every single items in my gallery and check its status...)

I realize that you can't see an invisible folder but if you link to an item that has its permission set to "everyone" within a hidden folder directly, that item remains visible. It's not a likely scenario, but if you know how to do it you can very well find supposedly hidden items.

An option like the one for comments & tagging ("Check this and press submit if you want to change all items in your gallery to have their comment permissions changed to the default set above.") that overwrites the viewing permission of the whole folder would be really appreciated.
