CYOA/interactive tools?
I'm thinking about trying my hand at a short CYOA, in which I write all the chapters myself instead of relying on others. Can anyone recommend any good tools/programs for such? Writing.com's style, as I recall, was pretty much perfect for it, but I'd prefer something more self-contained if possible, as I never really know what writing.com is gonna do with fees or whatnot. I've got Twine, and I might be able to work with that, but it does seem a bit...over-complicated for what I'm trying to do.

You ever heard of Quest? That'd be a good engine to use. Here's a link to their website:

Hrmm. After fiddling around some, it looks like Quest might be the best bet. A friend recommended https://chyoa.com/, but I'd have to submit the story for review, and I'm hesitant about sendin' that kinda stuff to strangers.
It's such a shame that writing.com requires a paid membership to make interactives now. Their system was PERFECTLY simple. (And I dunno if Eka's interactives can be made private until they're done)
