Why doesn't BBCode work in interactives?

I just spent like on hour trying to make this work... It works everywhere else, why doesn't it work in interactive stories? It would sure be nice. I'm sorry if this has been addressed before, I haven't slept in like 24 hours and I just want thing to be nice and clean.

Thanks for the feedback. When we have time we will work on more improvement on the site overall.
