He nodded as he decided it was best to just go along with her and ignore her stomach.
he finished his breakfast as he nodded at her, they both departed in search of the wolves as they made their way through the place again.

Artemis spotted a couple and pulled Akela to the ground. They watched as the wolves did exactly as she had described in her notes. One of the wolves had just caught a rabbit in its mouth and was attempting to get it the rest of the way in its mouth when Artemis's stomach groaned loudly. The wolves looked back in their direction and then hurried away into the forest. Artemis looked disappointed, but instead of saying anything, solemnly lead the way back to camp.

He opened his eyes wide as he watched the wolf, untill a sound broke him from his gaze and he saw Artemis going back to the camp.
'Allright that's it.' he began when they got back. 'Look, I dunno what you're doing to yourself, but you have to eat!' he stammered at her.
'Why are you tormenting yourself like this?' he said, blinking his eyes.

"It's not a problem, seriously!" she said. "Look, there's a certain limit of how much we can discover through observation anyway. We'll just have to try again in a little while. I know I can find them again if we just wait for them to settle down."

He was losing his patience. 'For the love of God, why do you keep changing the subject?' he said in an angered tone as he grabbed the fish from the plate and opened her maw with his hands, thrusting it inside her throat as he made her swallow the fish whole before he pulled his arm back out again, covered in saliva.

'I'm...sorry.' he said, watching her dazed look as she gulped the fish down. 'I just...hate it when people keep secrets from me, there's too much secrecy going on here and I demand answers.' he said, obviously not as angry as the first time.

Artemis realed back, feeling the charred fish enter her throat. She choked for a second and swallowed it down. It made a bulge on the grey fur of her throat and gave her a weird sensation as it entered her stomach. She breathed heavily for a half a second and then finally regained her composure.

"What the hell did you do that for?" she said angrily, shoving him.

'You left me no choice.' he said.
'Now what is this all about? There's more going on here than meets the eye, I can tell.' he said, eyeing her and not blinking for one second. 'I haven't bene called here just to observe wolves, have I? It doesn't look like that.' he continued. 'Well,' he said, waiting for her reaction.

Artemis opened and shut her mouth. She thought carefully.

"Not exactly," she said. "You see, there's only so far we can get with observation. What I need is experience. I was hoping to convince you after a couple of days that it was a good idea, but you've forced my hand here."

He raised an eyebrow. 'Experience? What? More riddles?' he said, his mind racing as he shook his head. 'Just tell me, please. What do you mean?' he asked her, sitting down by the fire.

"I mean eating you," she said. "Chasing you through this place and taking you alive like the wolves have been trying to do."

She sat down next to him, her stomach gave a low whining sound in response to the sudden entrance of the fish.

"Will you do it?" she asked. "Not like you have much of a choice here, but will you?"

He was startled. 'What, you mean you're gonna hunt me and eat me?' he stammered.
'Are you insane? You'll kill me, besides i'm bigger than you. What makes you think I would possible agree with this?' he said, lokking at her, trying to detect if it was a joke.

"No, that's the thing," she said. "I spent a lot of time in a hotel perfecting the technique. I can actually stall digestion for several hours. Plus, I swallowed a guy who was six-seven and twice your size before." She licked her lips and said. "It's not that hard, really." She got closer and took his hand in her mouth. "I just start somewhere easy and work my way up..." she started creeping up his arm, taking it into her throat.

Hastily he would jerk his hands out of her mouth. 'Might I ask why ME and why should I take your word on it? Why would you want to eat me and let me back out then? A littme extreme observation technique?' he said, not scared, rather confused.

'Will it help you with your research and the saving of these wolves?' he said, standing up.

Artemis got a little closer again. She came down on him quickly.

"It would help me immensly," she said. "Now I'm still starving, so I'd suggest you run. I'll give you five minutes before following. Trust me when I say there's no way out of this."

He gulped. She was right, there was no way out of this he thought to himself. 'What the heck?' he thought. At least she wouldn't kill him, and it would help her. he had already wasted 30 seconds by thinking of that when he started sprinting away from the camp, into the forest.

He kept on running over roots, dodging branches as he started to pant, sprinting faster as he feared the five minutes were all but spent, making him run even harder before coruching down behind a tree and in the middle of some bushes, breathing heavily and trying to keep still.

Artemis's stomach started going again, grumbling at the thought of an even larger meal. She licked her lips and waited three minutes instead of five before setting out after him. She knew the area better, she knew the hiding spots better, and she knew the layout of the area. He wouldn't be able to get away from her.

She started off by climbing into the trees, wearing her white cloak which made her difficult to see in the sunlight. She leapt from tree to tree, looking for him until finally, she spotted him running back across the river. She waited a moment as he circled the tree she was on and then quickly let herself down right behind him and chased him up to an area before taking a side route while he wasn't looking and coming around on him.

He kept looking around as he didn't notice her around. He kept breathing as he slowly got up, wanting to turn around as he was face to face with her now. 'Oh boy..' he thought to himself as he wondered just what was about to happen.

She grabbed him before he could do anything and forced him to bend down so that she could force his head into her mouth. She moved quickly, covering the head before he could do anything and then moved on his shoulders. She zigzagged across those, onto his chest and started to work down his arms which she held pinned to his side. Soon, she was halfway down his stomach and squatting to stay under him as she tried to lift him up into the air. Her stomach had exploded out into the size of a beach ball.

He felt himself being pushes in fast, he didn't have time to do anything except wriggle and squirm all he could, but his arms were held tight. he felt her throat knead all around him as his head and more of his body enterred her stomach, filling it up with himself he kept on struggling, knowing it made no difference.

Artemis worked her way up to his hips. She felt his struggles and remember her time in the hotel in Arizona, how some had prefered to fight back even after they'd payed to be eaten. She felt more of him enter her stomach and felt it spill out. Finally, only the legs remained outside. She slurped him to his knees, her soft, wet tongue brushing up against Akela's naked calf.
