The Ivalice Project(kirby99 and reliuskaiser)

I chuckle. "Well, New York is a state. New York City, well, a City. The city is in New York, but it's not the same as New York." I rub my chin to think of a good example of an equivalent around here. "...like...a state is a building, and a city is a room in that building. Get what I'm saying?"

"Oh..so is a state a giant group of cities?" Ivalice nodded as she thought about it.

I nod. "Essentially. I'll leave that simplified. Each state has different laws. Mostly the same, what with things like theft and murder being illegal, but it varies in tax rates, punishments, etc..."

"Huh. Anything about eating people?" Ivalice asks, thinking about laws of a foreign land.

I rub the back of my neck. "...last time I checked, still illegal, but...it's making improvements, from news I've heard."

[reliuskaiser]

Ivalice looked disappointed to hear that. "Oh well, maybe I'll go there once it's legal.."

[9kirby99]

I nod. "I'd love to take you." I hug her gently, nuzzling her.

[reliuskaiser]

"It'll be a date then, but for now, let's get..home." She ponders the thought of no one being there, not making her feel good.

I nod as I end the nuzzling. "Right." I look around to see where to go next.

[reliuskaiser]

She just keeps heading forward, eventually leading back to the sign. "Oh hey, we're back here."

I nod and look up to the sign, reading off the locations. "...well...which way should we go? We seem to have gone in a circle."

[reliuskaiser]

"Well, we've come from the other way, so why not just continue going forward? No where else we could go as far as I could tell." Ivalice says.

I nod a bit, fixing my hair a little. "Alright, let's go." I start walking that way.

[reliuskaiser]

The path was quite long and uneventful, though the two could easily spot a town a few hours walking down it. Ivalice looks off into the distance, noticing the town. "Hey, Miles I think there's the next town." Ivalice points off to a small blip in the distance.

I smile a little as I peer forward, spying it as well. "Thank goodness...wonder what this one will be like." I take her hand, speeding up a little.

She agrees with him. The next town looks to be akin to a giant mall plaza, with one huge building in the center and a bunch of other buildings connected directly to it in a strange arrangement of shapes. They could see people walking around to get from one area to the other. The place looked weird, but at least it seemed nice.

I look around, letting out a slow whistle. "Well, let's ask someone where we are." I try looking for someone trustworthy to talk to...

Ivalice nods and walks forward a bit to look for someone. Some people look over in curiosity at the two new people, but then went on with their day.

I look around curiously. "...at least they seem accepting. Let's find someone who looks knowledgeable about the area."

[reliuskaiser]

"Yeah, don't think we'll be getting any welcomes to this village.." Ivalice muttered under her breath as she walked off towards the center building, her tails swaying behind her as she walked. One thing the two would notice as that there were a significant difference in the population spread of this town with humans being the majority.
