It took a few tries, but eventually the end of one of the ruined streets held a path! An even better path than the strangely destroyed but still follow able path you took to get here. It looked fresh, and while not deliberately cleared or anything, was definitely used regularly enough to stamp the limited foliage aside.

The half orc would practically bound down the path, as it lead deeper into the mountains, leading her into the valley just before the great mountains began. Down below she could see the plant life thickening, but it didn't matter, she would soon be among her people!

As she hit the valley floor, the path abruptly split and lead in two distinctly different directions. One left and one right. Both looked even more used than the side trail she had just emerged from, actually deliberately cleared, if badly. Ahead, through the thicker underbrush, the sounds of running water could be heard, but not seen. A stream or river, no doubt.
Surviving is such a terrible game of chance. No matter how many times you happen to win, it only takes once, and you lose forever.

Lysandra smiled as she came down into the Valley. This surely must be where her fatherly linage lived. But her smile faltered as she reached the crossroads. "Why now?" She asked herself with a sigh. She was close she could feel it, but still had this choice to make. Listening she heard the faint sound of running water. A steam was just what she needed. Civilization, even barbaric ones need water to survive. So listening carefully she tried pinpointing the direction the sound was coming from and started heading down the trail closest to the sound. Maybe once she reached the water she would be able to drink some? Her throat was rather parched after a couple of days of nothing to drink.

((Short one, didn't have much to go by.))

(No worries, it's most a random decision for you)

The half orc takes the left path, since it seems to lead down closer to the water. Sure enough, She emerges along a quickly flowing stream, a few meters across and deep enough to swim in, but much too fast. The crystal clear water seems to be pouring down off the mountain but is....flowing back towards them? So odd!

Then the half orc would hear the sounds of clinking metal, as well as the click of horses hooves. Seems to be echoing down the stream, though it was quickly approaching.

Seeing the water Lysandra was happy she would be able to sate her thirst, even if the water seemed to flow backwards?

In the end it didn't matter. Using her hands as a bowl she started scooping up water to drink and ease her parched throat. At least she did until shw could hear the sound of metal and hoofalls. This confused Lysandra, as far as she could knew orcs didn't ride horses. But then again all she knew about orcs was the insults that had been thrown her way all her life. Maybe they did use horses... And large amounts of metal equipment? Doesn't fit the whole savage trope that the people back in the city of light seemed to fall back to. Maybe this is a good thing. She couldn't just hide all the time if her people was to find her. So in the end she continued to drink and seem non-threatening while waiting for the rider to approach.
