the princess amber and her two royal bodyguards approached an adventuring groups rooms at an inn and knocked on their door, anxiously awaiting a response.

Telly has just assembled some of her friends, being Shanda, Maia and Zephyr, to form a group, opening the door and smiling with excitement as a princess comes to view, convinced that there's going to be a good task for the four of them. "How may I help you, miss?", Telly asks, Zephyr approaching confidently and Shanda staying back with Maia.

the elf princess curtsied politely to the group and began to explain. "there is a prophecy that a demon god will descend upon the world in one years time and that I am the only one who can stop the destruction by performing a sacred dance on the peak of mt dar on the opposite side of the world. please, adventurers, I have heard you have the potential to be the greatest ones this world has ever known. please be my escort as we travel to the mountain so I may stop the coming destruction."

"Let's do it, then!", Telly says, partially addressing the group. Shanda nods happily, enjoying having a purpose to travel the world. "Sure, you can count on us.", adds Zephyr to the comment as Maia makes a nervous smile, with Shanda putting an arm around her.

amber smiled and stepped forward. "alright, I am amber, princess of larun, the elf kingdom. we are currently in the capital city of larun, mardad. my traveling companions, may I ask my escorts names?"

"I'm Telly~", Telly says, waving kindly. Zephyr moves forward some more, stretching her limbs. "My name is Zephyr.", she introduces herself, followed by Shanda coming out. "And I'm Shanda~", she introduces herself eagerly, pulling Maia with her to encourage her a bit. "My name is Maia.", she says quietly, taking a short breath.

amber smiles and hugs each of her companions. "so, plans now for us to go out of the city and find a route to take to get to mt dar?"

"Sure, let's do that.", Zephyr agrees, her and Telly accompanying her at the front while Shanda and Maia walk behind her. "I think I can find a good path!", Shanda offers. Maia looks over to her. "Well... if the mountain is on the other side of the world, there could be many possible paths...", she says, trusting her friend's capabilities. (Let me know when a skill check is needed)

amber nodded as they went to a map maker and bought a world map, showing that there was the road to the edge of the elven kingdom heading east of their location, that would cross through a dreary forest, some rocky hills, a bit of badlands, a couple of smaller towns and then a swamp to get to the kingdoms edge an d toward the neiborning kingdom of raron, which was mostly human dominated, and has access to ports and ocean one of which may take them across to the next continant of wren where the mountain range mt dar was in was located somewhere in the middle of.

With the others taking a look to confirm the route, they would begin the long journey, everyone being well-equipped. Shanda reaches into her special bag, containing her various outdoor clothing sets - while keeping her armor on during a task, she can still change her hair accessories, replacing the red ribbons with leaf hairclips as the forest is the first destination.

amber puffs as they trudge along, clearly not used to walking so far after the first couple of hours. "ugh, we probably should have bought horses, huh?" she sighed, her belly rumbling emptily it now being noon and lunchtime.

Maia nods a bit. "I suppose so.", she comments, feeling rather hungry herself. Shanda is calling over her horse companion, having it offer Amber a ride as needed. For now, she would see if she can find supplies in the forest, being used to feed herself on trips like that rather than carrying rations. Zephyr stays close to Amber and Maia while Telly decides to help Shanda with foraging. (Shanda has +7 in Survival, Telly and Zephyr have +5 each and Maia has +3)

amber gratefully thanked shanda as she got on the horse and her and zeph rested at the forest edge while telly and shanda foraged.

(either take 10, or take twenty on this survival check, but note if they take 20 they will have to camp at this location for the night.)

(taking ten works, which means they find enough food for themselves plus five extra people - however, Telly doesn't have ranks in Survival, which makes taking 10 not possible)

Shanda hauls a generous amount of sweet-looking fruits, as well as some flasks of water, with Telly having picked some mushrooms herself. "This was great~", says Shanda, sharing her findings with the group. Having taken care of supplies, they can move on a bit further, Shanda leading the horse carefully.

telly, shanda, amber and zepyer all see trace markings showing their in green dragon territory. though given this being well inside the kingdom, it's undoubtably a young and weak one especially since large and powerful dragons movements are tracked and it would be known if one had moved here.

Zephyr and Telly lead the way, feeling that they'll need to fight this dragon as it shows up, with the former being exceptionally excited. Being their escort, Maia gets close to Amber, planning to help keeping her safe by turning her invisible as danger approaches.

soon enough, the very young green dragon recklessly attacks, opening with it's breath weapon for 4D6 acid damage hitting the entire group. (reflex save for half at DC 16 got the average roll of 14 for 4D6.)

Maia didn't expect such a swift attack, taking severe damage right away. Everyone else is still doing fine, them drawing their weapons and Maia having performed the intended spell.
