It was raining when a portal opened up, a figure fell from it as soon as it opened then portal gone. the girl laid there on grass for sometimes unaware where she was.

maria wandered over to examine what the matter was.

the girl laid down as she has a burn on hand as she winced as it hurt.

maria gently walked over and cradled the girl on her lap, using a spell to heal the burn.

the girl suddenly opened her eyes, her eyes widen as she seemed to remember what happened.

maria smiled gently down at the girl. "it's okay. your safe. whats your name youngling?"

"my.. name is Sky." she answered as she seemed to be shaken.

maria gently cuddled her. "what happened to you, sky?"

Sky started to cry as it flashed in her mind what happened, she started to talk "everything was on fire, people, animals , plants, everything was burning up." she said.

maria comforted the girl gently and in a motherly manner.

the girl kept cry till she worn herself out, she knew she has nowhere to go nor she has no family and she didn't know where she was in this new world.

Sky nodded as she looked worn out slowly closing her eyes.

maria picked up the girl and carried her gently to the fair folks place.

Sky was sleeping the entire trip to the fair folks place.

once at her place she tucked her into a bed and began the adopting paperwork.

Sky slept for few hours, when she woke up, she was in strange room and on the bed.

maria came in with a tray of sweet fruit. "hey there." she smiled.

"Hey." the girl looked around "where am i?" she asked.

maria sat down next to her bed and explained it to her.
