A different world’s pace (Whitebrand and tigra9)

Postby tigra9 » Sun Mar 25, 2018 5:31 pm

“Ah... so my illness finally claimed my life huh? Really... what terrible timing, I wanted to at least tell him yes...” a young woman said in her head as her consciousness faded. A few hours before she had been happily enjoying a date with her boyfriend on a Saturday, the two were neighbors and had been in love with each other for, well years! But this young woman, Hylia Tsukishima had held a terrible secret to herself for the past year, she had a terminal illness that had no cure, even her doctor had been shocked that she lasted so long as when she was diagnosed she had been given less then a month to live. But back to the near past, she had been sitting at a restraint enjoying supper with her boyfriend and had been totally shocked by his actions, he had then and there proposed! Pulled out the ring and everything!! She had been so excited and happy it couldn’t be put into words.... however right as she went to say yes an attack from her illness occurred, she fell to the floor coughing up blood, her last sight was her boyfriends panicked face, then everything was black. At that point she truly believed her life over, but a presence would appear to her and offer her a new life, she accepted the offer and would find herself reborn in a vastly different world.

In a grassland a female centaur would be standing with her back legs spread her human half pressed against another centauress with their herd surrounding them a gasp escaping the female centaur “ah... she... she is coming... oohhh...” she gasped out as her body convulsed and her womanhood at the back of her horse half spread wide, a human looking child body getting pushed out into waiting arms as an elderly centaur told her to breath. The entire process took a few minutes before the newly born centaur child was fully in the world, several members of the herd working to clean the newborn. The mother simply slumped to the ground exhausted from the ordeal but did turn towards her daughter and a pair of green eyes shined as the woman spoke “I will name her... Hylia....” she said in a soft breath before passing out.

The newborn centaur girl Hylia let out a strong healthy cry before being picked up and held by one of the females to suckle on the centaurs huge J cup breasts, this entire herd was female and except for the one holding the newborn their horse half were all strong well built with white fur, their human half tanned and large breasted for the grown ones, the one breastfeeding the newborn though had the biggest breast by far and her horse half was a mix of white and black spots, very similar to a cow, she wasn’t originally part of the breed that made up this herd being of a separate breed that split itself among the various centaur herds for the purpose of being alternative milk sources for the newborns in cases like this where the mother wasn’t able to immediately supply the nutrition.

———————————————

A month passed and Hylia now matured enough to be up and walking around already was currently giggling while she bounced in the grass, it was a little taller then she was! But she would suddenly stop as she frowned “ah... where did she go?” She asked looking around, her herd was her family, and besides her mother all the older centaurs were considered her.. well perhaps humans would call them aunts? But there was one member of the herd that wasn’t an aunt or her mother currently and that centauress had been born the day before her “hey where did you go!?” Hylia called for her tearing up to see above the grass and succeeding only in falling back onto her back her legs flailing for a moment “ah!” Her legs weren’t strong enough to do something like that even though she could walk and bounce kinda like a deer foal already. Her horse half matched a one month old horses and her human half looked like a two or three year old human child’s would, centaurs in this world were born similar to horses matured enough to be able to get around within a few days of birth.

The herd were a slightly nomadic group, they traveled around within a territory of grassland and the out edges of a large forest, occasionally they met with human merchants and travelers but for the most part the centaurs stayed away and also kept the two young ones especially far from the humans. None of them wore clothing leaving their large beautiful breasts visible all the time, currently the herd was taking a rest in a wide open area of the grasslands with a group of warrior centaurs standing guard for any possible dangers with either a bow or spear at the ready in their hands. All in all the herd was lead by a matriarch, an elderly centauress with dull grey hair and perhaps the smallest breasts of the females old enough to have them at c cups. Another point to note was that the entire herd’s hair colors were varied shades of brown and blonde with brown or in a few cases green eyes, the same did not apply to Hylia though, from birth her hair was a bright pink and she had eyes that matched her hair color aswell, it set her apart from the rest of the herd by itself but on top of that the girl was quite smart for a month old foal already able to talk and form sentences with ease, it wasn’t unusual for centaurs to start talking before they were a month old but Hylia had been an exceptional case in how fast she learned to. Of course despite Hylia’s oddities the herd didn’t shun or treat her any differently then another foal would have been, for centaurs it was only right to accept other centaurs for who they were no matter the differences, that was one fact humans just never seemed to understand about a centaurs philosophy of acceptance and kindness.

“S-slow down, Kylia!” The high pitched voice behind her called. “You’re always leaving me behind!”

The blond, petite centaur that came trotting up. Celeste was small, petite and fragile where Hylia was strong. She was Hylia's only real sibling in the herd, and at the moment she was out of breath. Celeste fixed Hylia with a reproachful glare as she caught up, breathing hard.

The little centaur had been born sick and nearly died. A human healer had saved her from her lung infection but Celeste had never really recovered entirely. She tired easily and had trouble keeping up. Nevertheless, the girl had been an absolutely faithful friend, no matter where Hylia had gone. She hadn’t even run away the one time they’d met a not-so-hungry puma.

“It’s like you’re always looking for something,” Celeste said, exhibiting once again that uncanny empathy that she had. “As though the herd isn’t enough. It’s going to get us into trouble.”

Hylia looked at Celeste and blushed rolling herself over so she was on her stomach and got herself up “I’m sorry I just get entranced with the hopping thing....” she remembered that time with the puma, she had stood her ground to protect Celeste but in truth they had been lucky that the moment it leapt ready to claim two large meals it had been pelted with 5 arrows all in its forehead.... oh Hylia’s mother was upset about neither of them running back then. But Hylia besides that did make sure the two of them didn’t wander far from the herd, even this tall grass was close to where the herd had stopped for the time being “and the herd is enough Celeste, I make sure we never get outside the herds area of response, I’m just curious and excited easily about things we haven’t seen before you know? Like this tall grass here.. it’s taller then both of us but it still only reaches the adults upper body” She patted her human half’s stomach as a show of what she meant and then leaned in and hugged Celeste warmly “listen... you can even hear the clopping of their feet from here... like they are literally right behind me” she said eyes closed and smiling

“That is because someone is right behind you Hylia” Rynna, Hylia’s Mother, said firmly she had entered Celeste’s vision while Hylia had been talking but had motioned for the girl to stay quiet on it, her hair was a dirty blonde color and reached the back of her human half where it connected to her horse half, two bangs framing her face that had a grin adorning it, her breast size was F but this was a cup bigger then her natural size due to the fact that Hylia and Celeste, who was her adopted daughter because celeste’s mother died during the birthing, while able to start eating normally still needed some breast milk supplied to them as part of their diet. Over all she had a build that was strong among their clan, even her human half had light muscle tones to it. Her height also was a good 9’4 feet, on the taller side of the average centaur.

Hylia released Celeste and jumped hearing her mother quickly turning her body side ways.... and falling over because she did it so fast her legs couldn’t keep up and she looked up at her mothers brown eyes “mom! How long where you listening?”

“Mmm long enough...” Rynna gave a naughty smile putting a finger to her cheek cutely “long enough to hear your big sister admonish you for leaving her behind Hylia” she said leaning down and kissing Celeste on the forehead “you will make a wonderful mother in the future, I can already tell Celeste” she said straightening up again “besides it’s lunch time you two and this grass isn’t good for eating, it’s edible but has an absolutely sickening after taste, you would throw up in seconds of having a taste” she said brushing a hand across the grass as she looked at it as she spoke then back to her kids

Hylia frowned carefully getting up “but I’m a day older then her so I’m the big sister!” She complained about celeste being referred to as the big sister “and it’s my job to protect her as the older one after all” she said turning to look at the grass and humming then bending a single stalk down biting it, as centaurs their diet was completely vegetarian in base, they physically couldn’t handle eating meat but their most common food, and the only type Hylia and Celeste could currently handle with their young bodies, was grass and wheat, after she bit off a piece and chewed it for a few seconds though she spit it out and had to turn away bending her upper body putting her head into the grass to hide her shameful embarrassment as just as her mother warned, she threw up from that bite of grass. Of course not seeing her mother shaking her head at this

"You always do this," Celeste said to Hylia. "Come on. We're going home."

Celeste was a worrier by nature, and a caregiver by heart. And she was hungry, so naturally she was willing to call a halt to "adventuring" today so soon. And she was enjoying her promotion to "big sister" so she sort of wanted to rub Hylia's nose in it a little.

Hylia after taking a moment to recover her composure straightened her upper body back and rubbed her mouth “ok....” she said

Rynna just smiled and took both of them by the hand leading them out of the tall grass to where a third of the herd was resting in an area with short grass, a single large cloth canopy had been set up, it wasn’t enough for the entire herd band they belonged to to fit in even at only it’s 30 members, but for a third of the group it was more then enough room to rest under in their full magnificent centaur forms, there were wooden plates set around that the food was served on but Rynna led the two girls to a spot near the center of the canopy before laying her horse half down the girls on either side of her, their plates already there with food on it but Rynna before even touching her food looked to the matriarch who was also in the center of the sitting area “Hylia tried some of the sickness grass even after I told her not to” she said with a smile, the grass actually was an ingredient the herd used in medicine for sickness (specifically colds but hey they don’t know to call it that, also mind playing the matriarch? She is oldest of the herd at a lovingly 589 years old.... yes centaurs in this rp are a considerably long lived species if they can survive reckless fighting)

Hylia frowned at her mother telling their matriarch about her doing that “I was curious! And it was tasty for the initial bite... then it was terrible!” She said with a pout grabbing her plate and moving around Rynna to lay herself next to Celeste, both her and celeste’s plates filled with the same green blades of short grass carefully cut to a good size for them to eat and she grabbed a couple blades sticking them into her mouth and beginning to chew, they had been taught to eat slowly and chew the grass a lot while they are young to help their stomach as much as possible

The matriarch sighed, remembering her own headstrong days. It was said that there was a curse about children being just like their ancestors. Hylia had skipped a generation, it seemed.

"You wanted to see for yourself," the older centauress said. "And that's fine by itself. But there is wisdom in listening to your elders too. Some of them might know better sometimes."

And with that she let it drop.

Celeste devoured her meal much faster, and in greater volume...making others wonder how the little thing managed to stay so small and fragile.

Hylia pouted her horse ears folding down “yes matriarch....” she said and turned to Celeste seeing her sister just down the grass “umm Celeste... your barely chewing” she said tilting her head but she kept eating at her slower pace

Rynna just laughed a little at the two young foals but turned as a person ran over to the group and tilted her head “what’s wrong?” She commented though it was not a question without reason

The person that ran over did not have a horse lower half, instead she was completely human looking with E cup breasts, light brown shoulder cut hair and blue eyes. This girl though was a centaur signified by her horse ears that poked out of the top of her hair and a horse tail that stuck out from above her butt and reaching just above the woman’s ankles, in one hand was a spear that seemed far to long for a 5 foot something human girl and her body bare save for a quiver with arrows and a bow hanging off her shoulder. But the girl, named epona came to a stop once she got to them and spoke “matriarch, Rynna, we have an elf that wishes to visit and see our young foal... she said her last name was borneus” epona said only panting faintly from the run, the herds human forms packed all their horse half’s raw muscle strength into their legs without any loss in their strength, as a result they were arguably more agile and still reasonably fast as a human, but though their stamina barely changed fact of the matter was that they didn’t get used to heavily running in their human forms with its terrible sprinting balance which lead to epona being out of breath at all from so short a run

Rynna though frowned hearing epona “borneus? How could they already be aware we had foals?” She commented, Rynna was next in line for being the matriarch if nothing major occured so was privy to much of their matriarchs knowledge separate from the herd. However that was a minor detail, the more important thing is that they had a surprise visitor with this timing, of the seven clans known to them the borneus elf clan was the closest locale wise, but even then just taking the news of having newborn there would take a lone centaur a month and half at the least, on top of the fact that their herd did not share such information until the foals were at least two winters old even with other centaur herds not really close to them made this all the more abnormal.

With all this said however it’s not as if the relation between centaurs and elves was a rough one, rather the two species were quite close both being marked as fae by the humans, though centaurs did not dare refer to themself with such a lofty idea, besides their long lives and the fact they weren’t monsters they had nothing that could relate to the exceptionally notable spirit races that comprised the fae, elves included. If the centaurs as a whole ran into serious trouble such as a dispute with a human kingdom the elves often stepped in to aid the tensions into calming, or aiding centaurs in other ways, and conversely the centaurs would trade with and treat elves respectfully and kindly when within centaur territory, dwarves aswell received the kind mutual respect with the centaurs aswell, but seeing one of them was a vastly rarer occurance as the nearest above ground dwarves town was on the opposite side of a large human kingdom.

“I do not know,” the matriarch replied as she tossed her head to flick her hair out of her face. “Tell this elf we shall see her...to determine whether she gets to see our goals or not. Hylia, Celeste,” she said, looking at the pair. “Take your meals on the other side of that hill, please. Didmaya, Chaucine, go with them and stay close. Just in case.”

Hylia blinked having listened to them and nodded “yes matriarch” she looked to Celeste who was still focused on eating “Celeste come on let’s go” she grabbed both their plates to carry them both over the hill

The two centaurs that were named grabbed their weapons just in case and went with Hylia and Celeste while epona nodded and left again to go get the elf girl

Rynna frowned “Dari go with them, Hylia and Celeste will need some milk to drink” she said to the dairy centauress in their group who nodded and got up going off to behind the hill with the kids and then Rynna shifted herself “I’m surprised Hylia obeyed so quickly... last time we came across some humans she was incredibly curious, was quite the struggle to hold her back”

Hylia on the other hand settled down once they were on the other side of the hill and frowned “awww I hope we get to see the elf person... it would be my first time getting to actually meet someone not a centaur” she complained finally as she looked at celeste “what do you think sis? Aren’t you curious to meet them?”

“That’s why I selected Didmaya and Chaucine,” the elder replied. “They have the sharpest eyes. If this elf passes muster she can meet with the foals. If they don’t I don’t want those two so much as sneaking a glimpse of her.”

Celeste gathered her plate and swiped someone elses’s to boot.

“We stay out of sight until called for,” Celeste said firmly. Then she spoke quieter. “But that doesn’t mean we can’t sneak a glimpse or two.”

Hylia smiled hearing her sister admit to they could sneak a peek at the elf “aww I think I may be rubbing off on you a little” she hugged Celeste with a happy giggle

At that moment Dari laid down in front of the two girls facing them, close enough the girls could easily reach her breasts “there isn’t to much that would hold your interests in an elf... for the most part their a quiet bunch that rarely speak in any sort of long drawn out way, and they also look very much like a human not counting hair color and short pointed ears” she said looking between the foals “Celeste dear did you have to swipe one of your aunt’s plates? You can fill your belly with my milk after your plate of grass, we only gave you that much for a reason” she said reaching for the plate Celeste swiped

Rynna smiled “I guess your right then” she looked towards the hill, the plate Celeste had grabbed was hers but Rynna wasn’t mad about it, she could always get more that wasn’t a problem. Her main concern right now was this elf visitor they had.

After quite a bit of time epona returned now in centaur form with a person walking alongside her, they were covered in a cloak that had a leaf mantle theme to it but as the two got close the figure reached up and lowered the big hood to reveal her face, the features of it gave the appearance of a girl barely past the start of puberty, perhaps 13 or 14 if compared to a humans age? Her lips were soft and small looking with cheeks that were neither too fat or thin and her eyes held a hint of innocence and naiveness to them that felt right for someone of the appropriate age, her ears were typical of an elf in this world being short and pointed in nature, her hair was combed back and done into a long braided ponytail and matched the color of her eyes, pink.

Rynna frowned seeing the elf girl reveal her face and mumbled “the same color as Hylia’s... but not green, blue, or brown as is usual among the elves? Quite strange”

The elf girl finally reached where the herd was resting, or more specifically in front of Rynna and the matriarch and she bowed suddenly “greetings, my name is kairi borneus, it is nice to meet you”

Celeste forgot all about the elf as she handed over her stolen plate. She attached herself hungrily to Dari’s right breast...a lovely, round breast larger than Celeste’s head. She suckled eagerly on the dark nipple.

The lady of the herd strode forwards, nodding to the young(?) elf...who could have been centuries for all the centaur knew.

“I am Myranelle,” she said. “Headmistresss of the herd. How did you hear about our foals?”

Blunt but to the point.

Dari let out a small murr as she took the plate and Celeste attached to her right breast so hungrily, she then set the plate aside and cupped Celeste’s head gently in one hand, it took only a couple sucks before the rich creamy milk poured into the foals mouth, it tasted very sweet and good.

Hylia didn’t forget about the elf but simply finished eating her own grass and then sat there thinking. A moment after she quickly decided and tried to slip away but dari’s free hand grabbed her and forced Hylia face first into the left orb that was also bigger then Hylia’s head! “Mmph!”

Dari sighed at Hylia “now now be a good girl and stay here, you can drink aswell” she said not letting Hylia get away

Rynna stopped having stayed to the side of myranelle though she did remain one step behind as a show of being lesser in importance “and I am Rynna” she said in greeting back

Kairi looked between the two and smiled “straight to the point? Well then... please forgive my being blunt in return but I’m only a mere 189 winters old, but I am aware of your young foals due to a gift I possess, the effect of it gives me dreams occasionally that tell me of someone of personal importance and where I’m likely to find them... of course the details of these dreams is terrible nor can I know why they may be of importance to me, my dream this time was simply of two young centaur that both held beautiful white coated bodies and looked like children of an extremely young age, one held pink hair and eyes like myself, the other didn’t but in my dream felt no less important then the first... it was due to the borneus elders I came to discover this herd was the one I most likely wanted to meet with and so I have been searching since last fall among the lands belonging to the centaurs”

Rynna at this point frowned silently listening to the elf girl and growing more suspicious of her “last fall.... it is spring now so you have been searching for quite a length of time... yet your dream came quite early to make you aware of them” there was an edge of tension in rynna’s voice, but it’s not like Rynna was the only one tense about this, after all the herd took care of its own zealously and like any species female that lived a life where death could occur easily there was nothing more important to this herd of female centaurs then protecting their young in particular the two month old foals just over the hill.

“Personal importance?” Mayranelle said. “And how is this of importance to us? What does it mean for our foals?”

kairi shrugged under her cloak "to be honest? i would love to know that myself of how its important to others... all i can say it would mean for your foals is my desire to meet them, i do not mean any harm nor do i intend to talk with them without permission from you all, my elders warned me heavily against making enemies of you all" she tilted her head "in truth i traveled here simply because i want to meet them and see if i can make sense of why my dreams told me meeting them would be of personal importance to me, if there is nothing of real importance then i will gladly take my leave and never return before your herd" she straightened her head and bowed deeply "i will even comply to any demands you have for me in order to meet them so long as it does not involve physical pain" she grimaced "i... really dont like being hurt"

rynna frowned and looked at mayranelle then back towards the other centaurs there of their herd and leaned in whispering "matriarch, I know its not my place as your second, but i dont feel we can trust her words... it feels like there is something hidden beneath them" rynna rarely referred to herself as mayranelle's second since among the herd only the matriarch held any kind of title among them and the rest of the mares were equals to each other but in rynna's case do to her tutoring by mayranelle she would be the one that best served the role of a second leader

"Something is hidden," Mayranelle said, her eyes narrowing. "And I will have the truth of it, elf girl. Last chance to tell me everything. You are poor at concealment. Until you speak the truth to me I will not let you see them."

Celeste finished her meal and tried to find an angle by which she could catch a glimpse of the elf...without looking like she was looking. Didmaya grabbed her shoulder and steered her back out of sight.

Hylia drank her fill but didn’t even get a chance to try and look again as Dari held her firmly, and when Celeste was lead back over Dari who had let go of the young foal once she was done drinking, wrapped her free arm around the girl pulling her into a hug the two of them stuck in between dari’s impressive breasts that had not seemed to shrink at all Hylia pouting “well now we can’t see anything....”

Kairi frowned hearing mayranelle’s words and spoke in her original Japanese that none of the centaurs would understand ”geez I’m only hiding an important fact I can’t divulge to anyone not like me” she complained but then closed her eyes and shook her head falling silent as she thought over what to say that could ease their suspicion while letting her keep her secret then as it occured to her she opened her eyes looking back at mayranelle speaking so the centaurs could understand her again “I’m not hiding anything from you save a secret I can only reveal to others that have pink hair like myself, it’s not as though I enjoy keeping that part hidden but I am bound by the gods not to speak of it lest they punish me for it.... I am sorry that is all I can say about it” she bowed again in apology

Mayranelle frowned but had to admit to herself that she was curious now too...and what could this elf possibly do to harm anyone while surrounded by an armed herd?

She nodded and signaled for the foals to be bought to her.

The guardians of the two foals were quite efficient, marching alongside the two little girls as they approached the elf girl. Their expressions were guarded but they obeyed the headmistress .

Rynna was still uneasy about kairi meeting the foals but she said nothing deferring to their matriarch’s decision

Hylia was happy she got to get free and go see the elf girl walking alongside Celeste, upon seeing the girl she mumbled under her breath “eh? The same hair and eyes?”

Kairi smiles at getting approval and looked watching the two foals walk towards her with their guards and got an excited look ”ah you have the same hair and eyes are you a reincarnated person too?!” she said in completely fluent Japanese again

Hylia being the only one that could understand what kairi was saying stopped and leaned a little closer to the guardian at her side turning her face away, it instantly told everyone else that Hylia knew what kairi was saying but it was just as clear whatever had been said was uncomfortable for Hylia

Kairi seeing Hylia look away frowned ”what? No hello or anything? Come on are you from a japan where it was ok to be rude and not even greet someone you just met?” she said with a tilt of her head not thinking about the fact she has yet to introduce herself to Hylia or Celeste either

“What is this language?” Mayranelle demanded, signaling the girl’s to halt. “And how does she understand it?”

The rest of the herd moved nervously, wondering if there was some magic being cast. They weren’t fond of magic outside of their shamanic traditions.
