Blessings of the Forest (giantessfanx and Zephyr42)

The Ellingnia Forest had been a place of mystery for centuries. The trees at the edge of the forest grew to well over a hundred feet tall, many speculated those nearer the center reached over a thousand. Old legends spoke of spirits and massive creatures; the former being more benevolent toward man than the latter; that lurked within the forest, guarding it and its secrets. Many who ventured into the forest, particularly those who set out in search of those secrets, never returned.

Striding through the forest one night was a man. He was a young adult, about six feet tall, with deep brown eyes and jet black hair. In one hand, he held an electric lantern. On his back was a massive backpack loaded with tents, food, books, and various other pieces of camping gear. He'd lived on the border of the forest all his life, and he'd often flitted into the outskirts to observe nature at work. This was further than he'd ever gone, before, and he couldn't help keeping an eye out for anything that looked out of the ordinary for him.

Eventually the young man did indeed find something out of the ordinary. Suddenly a woman appeared in his path. A young woman just a bit shorter than him, with long brown hair that seemed to blow gently around her despite the lack of a breeze and eyes with a faint green glow. She appeared to be wearing nothing but a gown of leaves.

A forest spirit!

For a long moment the spirit gazed at the young man, her head tilted slightly to the side. Then she turned and walked deeper into the forest. Her bare feet left no prints in the soft ground, and her pace just quick enough that the young man would have to hurry to keep her in sight if he wished to follow her.

Bartholomew Kirtcher couldn't help staring at the sight. He'd heard the legends, but even he'd never seen a forest spirit before. Even now, he could hardly believe he was seeing what he was seeing. He opened his mouth. "H... hi there." He half expected the spirit to vanish and wanted to just raise his hand and touch her.

Then she turned away and sped off. "Uh, hey, wait!" Bart sped after her. No way his mind was playing tricks on him like this. Even if no-one would ever believe him, he had to find out more!

The spirit led him far off the beaten path, even beyond the trails the animals used. Eventually she came to a stop in a large clearing. The trees reached over much of the clearing, leaving only a space a couple feet across in the center completely open. The spirit stood in this moonlit space, watching as Bart approached.

Bart slumped onto his knees once the spirit finally came to a halt. It was only after a few moments of panting like a racehorse and wiping sweat from his brow that Bart realized that he was now lost. The thing he'd just done was extremely stupid in hindsight. He reached into his pocket, hoping that he had a cell signal of some kind.

The spirit bent down toward Bart. One hand came to rest on the wrist digging into his pocket, bringing it to a stop. Her other hand cupped his chin and gently lifted him to a standing position. A smile graced her lips as she moved her hands to his shoulders. She then closed her eyes.

For a moment nothing happened, then tiny lights started winking into existence around them. Within a minute there were thousands of these lights, each like a star, in a myriad of colors though greens seemed to be more abundant.

Suddenly the lights flew towards Bart. They passed through his clothes and skin as though they were insubstantial, filling his body with a strange tingling warmth.

Bart froze when the woman touched him. He couldn't even speak, he was so bashful. Instead, he just stared into her eyes and blushed. Did she want to... He was interrupted, distracted by the pretty, pretty lights.

This only lasted for so long, though. Once they flowed into him and started making him tingle, he began to skitter backwards. "H-hey! HEY!" he shouted. "Knock it off! Whatever you're doing, stop it!"

Without visible effort the spirit kept him in place. For well over a minute the lights flowed into Bart. When at last the last of the lights vanished the spirit let her hands fall from his shoulders. She looked utterly exhausted; but she smiled again, as though pleased with something.

Then without warning she faded into nothingness.

Bart struggled like a fish in a net. No matter how strong the magic against him was, he struggled. It took him a few moments to realize the lights had stopped, and he stared at the woman for a moment. Then she vanished. "Hey, come back!" he shouted. "What did you do to me?"

There was no response but a soft echo of his shout.

Soon the tingling intensified, and it felt like his whole body was being stretched and bloated. He suddenly lost all feeling and control in his legs, sending him to the ground. Subtly at first but more noticeable as it went on, his whole body was growing. The loss of feeling and control of his legs was due to the bones in them had effectively dissolved. His legs were now fusing together and elongating, new bones were forming in his new lower appendage not un-like those of his ribs, and scales were growing on it; turning his lower body into a large snake tail.

Bart freaked out. He had no freaking clue what was going on except for what he could perceive. And all that had to pass through a thick fog of panic. He was able to figure out that he was being transformed into something. The 'what' wasn't coming to mind at the moment; he was stuck on the 'why' and 'what next'. So as he grew, he curled up on himself, trying not to hyperventilate.

Eventually the transformation was complete. The tingling sensation faded away leaving the young man in his new form. Standing up like normal the top of his head would reach fifty feet high easily. From his waist down was now a massive snake tail stretching a couple hundred feet long.

The growth had left his clothes in shreds leaving him naked, though the scales along the underside of his new tail seemed to be hiding his manhood from view.

It was only a few hours before the sun rose.

Bart stared at himself. Nothing came to mind. Nothing could even cross the seeing part of his brain to the processing part of his brain. There was no point: there was simply nothing to compare it to. All he could do was stare at himself and hope that some passing angel could put a spark of inspiration into his mind.

Alas, nothing came. So he passed out. And he lay in the forest like a log for some time.

“Hey, are you alright?” A voice, a feminine voice, echoed in his mind.

Sagelia had been out hunting and foraging since sunrise. She didn’t know why, but she’d felt compelled to pass through the Spirits’ Grove that morning. She never expected to discover what she found there, a young naga man she’d never seen before lying in the middle of the Grove seemingly unconscious. She’d slithered over to him and was trying to wake him up.

She had long brown hair, tied back in a ponytail away from her emerald green eyes. She wore no clothes and her tail was covered in green scales, mostly a bright green with dark green patterns.

Bart slowly woke up. For a few moments, he was still perfectly human; having simply... collapsed in the forest. A very small forest. And having developed a terrible, all-over skin rash that left him with... red scales on his... leg.

Then he noticed the other naga. In his post-sleep haze, he noticed that she was very pretty. Then he noticed she was naked. "Uhh... oh!" He tilted his head up, trying to get the sight of boobies out of his field of view. "Uhh, hello!"

“Hi there.” Sagelia replied with a slight smile. She wasn’t upset that he’d been gazing at her chest for a moment there, she found him rather pleasing to the eye as well.

“You alright?” She asked, “The way you were lying when I found you looked like you fell out of a tree or something.”

"Well, I, uh..." Bart didn't want to say the truth. What if she thought he was crazy? It was a knee-jerk thought, but Bart couldn't help worrying about it. She couldn't think he was crazy. Not now. He had to come off as-he was naked.

In an instant, his hands were at the level of where his groin used to be. He chuckled nervously. "Uh, yeah," he said. "Fell out of a tree." He eventually realized she wasn't wearing anything either, so he let his hands fall away. No need for her to think he was... crazier than he already appeared. "What's your name?" he asked, trying to change the topic of conversation.

“My name is Sagelia. What’s yours?” She replied, absentmindedly brushing a loose strand of hair back behind her ear. She had no idea what his awkwardness was really about, she simply assumed it was embarrassment over falling out of a tree like a child. In a way it was kinda cute.

Another problem, one he had a feeling he couldn't bluff his way out of. So he just decided to play it by ear. "Bart," he said. "Nice to meet you." Despite his nerves, he couldn't help meaning that. She seemed nice and... actually kind of appealing.
