The hard soles of Myrrine’s high heeled shoes clacked against the vinyl floor with each step. It was late afternoon of what had been a long day at the university. Right now she was headed for her office, where she’d meet some of her students to get a progress report on their project for her European History class. Arguably that was the most interesting thing ahead of her, after that was going over lesson plans, grading essays and other tedious paperwork.

She sighed as she turned the corner to the hallway where the department offices were. At least the weekend was coming up.

"Where is Sarah?"Mark said preoccupied; "We already have bad news, we need to be all here at least..." We were in the office, waiting for the inevitable.
We needed another delay, and Prof. Myrrine isn't famous for her compliance, we waited and expected to be scolted at minimum.
The tension was hig, we needed this project. All of us.
"I've told you to follow the sources the prof gave us, but no! You had to search on.." Sarah was interrupted mid sentence by a loud gasp coming from Claire.
"WE ARE FUCKED! My files are corrupted, i can't even convert them!" Another great news, really the best way to end the week.

Myrrine paused at the door to take in a deep breath to prepare. As she opened the door she knew from the looks on the students’ faces there wasn’t any good news forthcoming. “Good afternoon.” She said as she closed the door behind her and went behind her desk. She set the bag she’d been carrying on the floor beside her as she settled into her chair.

“So,” She said as she leaned forward and weaved her fingers together on the desk expectantly, “What’s the progress on you project?” She was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but that generosity was starting to wear thin.

"Good afternoo Miss" A weak and guilty reply. The tension grew as the moments passed, nobody wanted to give her the bad news.

And sure her severe glare didn't helped at all. Seconds that felt like hours passed, but finally, Mark found the courage to speak.

"We need another delay Miss. We had some problems, technical ones too.." He lied, for the majority at least.
"Yes! We need just a few days!" Claire added, smiling.

The lazy bunch hoped in the mercy of their professor, but they knew, deep down, that they were done for. But you know, there's always hope.

For a long moment Myrrine didn’t speak. She lowered her hands, her long red-painted nails making faint taps against the wood. “Another extension.” She ground out. “You lot are aware this project is for this semester, yes?”

Silence. She was not happy. No she wasn't.
"Yes....yes we know...but we could not..." Mark stuttered.
"We just need more time, please!" The bunch was sure preoccupied, their eyes darted back and forth between themselfs seeking a solution, an excuse.


She was late. Heavy pants accompanied Sarah's rush. Not only she had to do a project with some incompetents, the car was broken and she missed the bus.
Miss Myrrine added her in the group after the first delay, to shake them up a little. Sarah did try her best, but they just were...so lazy...

Myrrine opened her mouth to speak when the door to the office opened and Sarah rushed in. “Ah Sarah, welcome.” Myrrine said, her voice noticeably warming a few degrees. The young woman may have been late to the meeting but at least she was the type to have a good reason for it as opposed to the rest of the group. “Perhaps you have some good news to share?” She said hopefully.

The gruop relaxed a bit, Sarah knew how to talk with the prof, maybe they weren't so in trouble after all.
Sarah took a long breath before speaking "Good morning, sorry if i'm late, public transport...." Then a shadow passed on her face. "Well....I...Don't have any. I am sorry, I've tried to do the best i can, but they're just....*sigh* them."
Tension grew again, Sarah was telling the truth, but they did not expect her to expose them so easily.

“I see…” Myrrine said, clearly disappointed. For a long moment she was silent, her nails tapping against the desk and she drummed her fingers. “Well then, what do you propose we do?” She asked, deciding to give the group one last chance. With Sarah here perhaps something could actually be accomplished. She was usually good at hiding her frustration, but cracks were starting to form in the façade.

Sarah took the word before the others "Well..we could add som.." "We need more time!" Mark interrupted her promptly, "We're at a good point!" the others nodded in agreement.

Sarah just shook her head, they were incredible, just incredible.
She looked at Myrrine, she never saw her so nervous. A bit scaring, in fact.

“That’s it!” Myrrine practically shouted, slamming her palms on the desk as she stood up. “I have had it with you little-” Little whats would remain unspoken as her outburst was interrupted by a flash of bright blue light that filled the room.

Myrrine blinked several times in rapid succession as the light vanished. “Oh fuck…” She swore, the anger gone from her voice. She knew what had happened. Looking around her office she found all four of the students she’d been talking with right where they’d been sitting or standing, but now they were all about a head shorter than a Barbie doll.

Sarah looked around confused and dazzled by the flash, "What....What was that?" As soon as she could see clearly she was filled with amazement, everything was so big.

"Hey! Are you all right?" Mark shouted, the bunch responded with groans and phrases similar to Sarah, most of them still recovering from the light.
As soon as they recomposed themself panic started to spread fast.
"What the fuck is happening?! Miss Myrrine! What did you do?!" Claire exclaimed with anger and fear.

“Good going Myrrine…” She berated herself under her breath, “Thalia would box your ears for losing control like that, and rightly so.”

“I’m sorry everyone, I’ll fix this as soon as I can. In the meantime, we need to make sure nobody sees you.” She said as she brought her handbag up onto the desk and opened it. The thick fabric should keep any screams from being heard until she got somewhere she could safety unshrink them without the risk of witnesses, and the time to carefully remove this incident from their memories.

Protest rose from most of the group, they wanted to come back at their original size immediatly, Mark noticed Myrrine open the handbag and realized what was to happen. He suddenly started running, heading for the door. Sarah stood quiet, she was of course scared, but she trusted her prof.

Most of the gruop were seated, and they had no way to jump on the floor without breaking a leg. Some protested, some incited Mark in his mission, but the door was closed, he had no chance to open it.

“Mark, I know you may not be the sharpest tool in the shed but do you really think running is a good idea?” Myrrine asked. Admittedly it was kinda funny to see him doing so. She snapped her fingers and the four of the floated from their places to smoothly land in her handbag.

“Now, you all keep quiet and behave. I’ll get you fixed up as soon as I can.” She promised before zipping her bag closed again. There should be enough air for them in there.

“Oh boy…” She sighed, rubbing her temples a moment before getting to work on the other tasks that awaited her.

How can someone be quiet and behave while floating and being locked up in a purse? Even Sarah screamed in fear, pulling her thrust aside.

During her flight Claire shouted cursed at Myrrine, menacing her to call the police and whatnot. But she was soon muffled by the zip closing over her.

The fabric did muffled their protests , but the purse moved while the group tryed to get out. They were in a dark world, falling and tripping over Myrrine's stuff.

The amount of movement did catch Myrrine’s attention for a moment, but she concluded it wasn’t enough to make the purse fall off the desk.

Enough time had passed that Myrrine had gotten lost in her work when her stomach rumbled. The loud, liquid gurgle was so unexpected she jumped in surprise. It didn’t take long for her to realize why she was hungry so soon. Spells that manipulated bodies or defied the laws of physics were particularly taxing on one’s energy reserves, and the shrinking spell did both.

She really couldn’t spare the time to grab any sort of meal right now, a bag of chips or something from the vending machine down the hall would have to suffice. She turned and opened her handbag to find some change when her eyes fell upon her shrunken students. She’d almost forgotten she had them in there, and for a long moment she stared at them.

As she unzipped her handbag the light blinded them. Mark was trying to memorize her credit card numbers and he blushed profusely as soon as Myrrine eyes met his.
For most of the rest, they were surprised, and started protesting, they were sick to be entrapted inside the fabric prison.

Sarah and Claire however were crouched in in the angles of the purse, in silence.

"Why are we still here Miss?" Sarah asked calmly.

None of them noticed the unusual stare Myrrine was giving them.

Myrrine bit on her lower lip as she eyed the students, her thoughts buzzing around like agitated bees. She was going to modify their memories in the end, it wouldn’t be a stretch to make them think one of them ditched the meeting; she was sure at least a couple of them had considered doing just that.

She reached into the bag to grab one of them, making sure to avoid the corner Sarah was huddled in.

The bunch relaxed a bit, seeing that one of them was exctracted, they thought that they'll be set free from the purse. Still, they protested loudly about their conditions. Some tried to climb out, with not much luck.

Claire, however, was froze in fear as she was manipuleted by the giantess. Not only she feared to fall, but being powerless in a hand was very unsletting for sure. "Please, put me down" she said, trmbling.
Looking into Myrrine eyes she understood that something was off. Her gaze was...famelic? A shiver crept up her spine as she looked at those giant red lips.
