Think the vids are very good, even if they are several years old.

I'm loving all of this content, even if it's not extremely recent. Keep up the great work.

Nyuuuu Cake D:
I can see why you are saying your old animations are "bad" because they have very visible flaws but even the worst of the worst of your works is godly. Yes that croc is very robotic, but its mouth and tongue animation is wayyyyyy beyond most of what I've seen. It's not the first time I am a temporary guest to new fetishes while viewing your work. Please do not be afraid or ashamed to share even your crappiest stuff :3
And as Krono said, a lot of people are interested in what you do. I just got on Eka's, see your avatar on the first page and immediately clicked on the thread. I didn't know in which forum category it was or what was the title, hell I wasn't even logged in yet! I have no regrets that I clicked on your thread at the speed of sound. I understand an artist is always going to see a thousand issues in his/her stuff that the fans are never gonna see, but please stop this insane modesty, because you are extremely talented ><

Wow. o.o Really good stuff, Cake. WTB all of your old animations, including the bad ones, if these are what you consider "bad"...
Seriously, please feel free to share more! Your stuff is amazing! ^_^
PS: Please make a big flashing lights post when you finish the rig you want to make available to the public. I'd love to try some stuff with it in Maya myself.

Re: CakeInferno's boxroom of sub-standard 3D mediocrity
Quite a lot more feedback than initially expected, thanks so much guys!
The main reason why I haven't shared many of these is because a lot of these tests are unfinished and were therefore not given the proper treatment and attention like the other films I put in my gallery here. I'm always trying to be aware of any flaws and be honest to myself, so I can do the best possible job next time! Going to upload some more old stuff soon! I wish I could share more of the older work, used to have an original dragon model I put a lot of work in, as well as a Midna rig that was based on the Zelda TP model. Sadly I lost the stuff I did with them and the models themselves after a HDD failure many years ago, pretty much moved to doing things with Krystal since then. Next clips are going to feature her once again, even though I might show some work in progress screencaps of the latest animation that is currently finishing with rendering. Rendertime was a total of 120 hours this time due to the fancy visuals.
In the meantime, I can gif you this! <:

Basically an opening shot of the new animation! Wanted to show my custom night sky I made for this one! This 12k resolution, spherical 360° texture was composited in photoshop, mostly using images by NASA, sewing them together and doing a lot of additional coloring work. I might make the file available later on after the animation is finished! (:

Re: CakeInferno's boxroom of sub-standard 3D mediocrity
Thanks Hmhmh!
Here's a new look at Zoe, this time it's even her final form! I've spent some more time working on a few things that I didn't like about the model yet, mostly her belly and her once blocky looking teeth. Her tummy has been brought into shape with squishy abs, finally adding some geometry to her once flat belly! Her teeth were remodelled from scratch, having a more realistic and canine appearance. Some shaders were also reworked, adding sophisticated subsurface scattering to her tongue, teeth, and general mouth interior to give it a much softer look. This effect basically simulates light translucent materials to put it in less nerdy terms!
Furthermore she now has tattoos... or markings since tattooing fur would be difficult!

Can't wait for this either actually, sadly we need to since the animation is rendering at half the speed of Duke Nukem Forever. D:

This thread is just amazing! You should stop underselling yourself - your "mediocre" test renders are world better than the majority of 3D core artists out there
Loving that new sky animation - will the new animation feature Zoe out of interest? Its going to look amazing with the night time setting <3
