CakeInferno's boxroom of sub-standard 3D mediocrity

Now that topic title is quite a mouthful, and what a fitting metaphor that is considered we're on a vore site! <:

After carefully considering a topic like this (spontaneous idea when I was drunk), I've came to the thought of having a little thread here for test renders, old and unfinished animations, eventual breakdowns of scenes and perhaps miscellaneous things such as presenting the entire beauty of my marble collection here!

Whoever suffered the unfortunate circumstance of knowing me personally has likely already seen some of the unfinished/old animations I usually just shared in private. To my surprise most people actually liked them. I originally did not intent making them public since they are old and embarrassing, but friends persuaded me with their arguments, as well as the little trip we took where they left me in a small, abandoned room, tied to a chair with no water and food for multiple days. Oh those silly rascals! <:

Nonsense aside, I didn't want to clog my main gallery with old work and test renders. Doing these animations can sometimes take up to a year, in which people sometimes start thinking I have left/moved/diseased somewhere along the way, so occasionally showing new things on a weekly (let's be realistic, monthly... ish) base should prevent those rumors. I personally like the idea of having a little corner here as well, knowing that the few people that are interested enough to check here might give some valuable feedback! I'm planning to furthermore use this topic for future work in progress thingies while I'm slowly progressing on an animation. Note that this is not a commission/request topic with any commercial intent since I'm not taking these in the first place, apologies for that!

As a starter, here's a not so spendid animation! This was likely my very first vore animation ever. Here we have a poorly textured, stiffly animated croc nomming the viewer! This is a super old model I've done way before my friend and me worked on the Krystal model. Luckily most of its body is hidden underwater, so my terrible modelling work can't be seen for the most part. <:

Good news is that it can only get better from here, for now the content needs to live up to the topic's title after all! :D

Pshhhhh, "few people that are interested"! All I saw was the name CakeInferno on the "recent posts" list and that's all it took, I knew i had to see it because your work is always amazing!

And although your demerit yourself for the quality of this, being your old work, this is still very impressive an amazing! I am definitely looking forward to more of this thread! :D :gulp:

Thanks so much Krono! The croc in this animation moves rather robotic, which is why I don't consider it fairly good. But then this is likely more than 5 years old and was done before I got somewhat of a hang for 3D. But thanks so much for the comment! Going to post a few more of these clips here soon! :D

I couldn't have said it better than what Krono had said. I can't imagine how much time and effort you go through in putting these clips together. I wonder though, have you considered rendering any predators invovling some cartoon favorites like tom the cat, claude the cat, or perhaps any popular feline?

Ooh, looking forward to whatever might show up here! Even little, rough things are fun to see.

And old or not, that croc animation looks amazing! Sure, I can see some of the robotic-ness of it, and the model itself lacking the level of detail you put into your newer works. But I'm still blown away by it, and it's a fun concept. I only wish I had the tools, patience and know-how to make something half as good as that. (someday, perhaps!)

Yeesh- most people who do 3d modeling have crap rigs and animations, but even from the start yours are great. Everyone can tell its old and done by someone newer to it, but even with some issues it's still a very enjoyable clip, and I can see how it helped you evolve to where you are now. Seriously, you're one of very few 3d modelers I can respect because of the time and effort you put into your work, rather then slapping together a crappy rig with default textures... Seriously, I never got why people do that or how others enjoy that- the same thing over and over gets boring in that regard, and the default textures on the majority of 3d models are just horrid at best... Anyways, I'm rambling. Looking forward to seeing more from the best 3d modeler/animator in the community!

Your version of substandard is better than the work done in the few animation classes in my college, but the focus is not animation. Either way, it's good.

Oh wow, thanks so much for the comments everyone! I didn't expect to see any feedback here so soon! I'd likely give the title of the best to someone like Eskoz or Boogie though, especially with how much work they invest into it as well! Perhaps not use the term the best at all, as there quite a few talented 3D artists around here and they're usually skilled in different areas with completely different styles! Some people might prefer the work of artists like Saftkeur for their more realistic approach, while others are more into furries, or generally cartoonier artstyles. I'd also agree that there's a large amount of 3D work in this community that is done with little effort, this might be something that makes the grass on my side appear a bit greener than it really is. :P

Here's another short clip of an older version of the Krystal model swallowing a Mii. Here you can see how Krystal eats a Mii! ...Mario

See what I did there??? <:

Ahem! This old animation was mostly done to test out bulging with a second character that would be a little bigger. I used a Mii as prey in this one because they're easy to animate. Voice bits are from Toon Link!

Videos are of very good quality. It is interesting to see the intermediate stages of the work.

Oh boy, now where you say it, the Mii's facial design is so simplistic that indeed looks like him! :D

Thanks for the comments again! Also not everyone has a tail! O:

Well this is a neat thread. I do see what you mean by these things not being up to your usual standard, but your standards are so high that these are still pretty fantastic. XD
