Been a hot minute since I posted here, so I thought it was a good idea to raise awareness of the imminent public release of "Encounter", my by far longest running animation to date. An early version has already been posted to Patreon, before it was leaked in such a quantity that one could assume Zoe got her face beaten with a golf club in this episode.
The animation runs for a total of ten minutes, which gets extended by an additional minute in this upcoming extended cut, adding a post credits scene as well as bonus angles to the end of the film. I'd recommend to avoid the leaks and wait for this finalized version, as it also includes a couple of additional effects that I didn't manage to finish in this initial release. The animation itself is quite a bit different from the previous films, as it's supposed to be a mock videogame in which Zoe plays an end boss that gobbles up the player various times. The idea is quite old, with the script being something I've kicked around for a couple of years before actually turning it into an actual animation. It's likely already self-explainatory from the runtime that this project has taken the longest production time yet, totalling somewhere around 8 months; this included the creation of the environments (1 month), the character animation itself (5 months), as well as rendering and post production (2 months). On top of that it's the first long animation that's been rendered at a native 60FPS in true 4K, within the Rec. 2020 color space (HDR), this version however is only available for the higher tiers on my Patreon, but the public versions will certainly be downsampled from that.
Expect this to be posted in a couple days! Right now I'm still encoding the various files, while also catching up on making a cover. In the meantime, here's a couple of totally hand-picked images from the animation! <:
