Not to be a party pooper, this is some nice work, but ya asked for permission first?
Like, some people might not like having someone colour or edit their stuff.

While you stand correct in your concerns, some of the artists don't reply or even exist anymore (take maelstrom for example).
If someone has a problem, I'll take it off right away.

If there's one thing I could suggest, it would be asking permissions to artists that are still around, and making their name an actual link to their page Really like what you did though

That was slightly evasive. Could you point out which of these artists did give you permission, then? This is gorgeous coloring and I'm sure many of these artists would be thrilled to see the job you've done here, but it's really up to them to decide.
