For me its just a childhood thing.

I used to think what it would be like to be food and to enter the human body. So much I would dream of being eaten and being able to enter the body. As I became older I realized it was a fetish and as time passed I became addicted to it.

And that in a sense is how I got into vore.

Simply speaking, I think that one being eating another is a very strong form of interaction. So that in some people it gets hooked to the sexual part of the brain before they reach the age where actual sex would. I suspect that's what happened to me, but it can't be applied to everyone, since there are people who got into vore later in life.

If you don't mind a ton of hypothesis, some searches on the forum will give threads with a lot of people explaining their own attraction to vore. In vore it seems that everyone is different.

I don't know for sure when my fascination with this fetish began. I've read up on it and find that it is considered a harmless fetish, since there's little chance of actually engaging it the act itself. I remember being greatly affected by scenes in movies of quicksand and slow swallowing, especially of females. I met a very adventurous young woman at art school who really liked vore fantasies. (I didn't know until recently that it was called vore) When I saw Roger Corman's Galaxy of Terror, I fell in love with worm vore., When my girlfriend saw it, she wanted to hear me tell her stories in bed. now I have a lot of data on the subject from a handfull of you and its all very interesting now my question to you is this, many say somthing to the effect of its about being close to eachother, or one with eachother. what needs does vore fill that regular porn doesnt? cause from my stand piont and to many others, is that regular sexual intercourse is as close as you need to be to another person and that you are one with that person.

Yes, I think it's like that for many.

But in my case it's actually about predation, as such. Eating somebody who doesn't want to get eaten, or watching it happens, with all its struggle, peril, then death - What turns me on is the thrill and horrors associated with that. Such predators-eating-preys situations can be so intense, charged, that they may also become sexually stimulating. It's not about affection, love or becoming one with somebody.

Because of this major difference between brutal predation kinks and exaggerated sex kinks, I once thought we actually had two distinct, fully separate sorts of vore kinks. But then I learnt there are also many grey shades between these two extremes, and the one doesn't need to rule out the other. Now I view vore as a huge umbrella for many different kinks, they might be more or less overlapping, yet different.

Somehow I feel like I've done this before though. Ah well. I don't have much to say anyway. I share the viewpoint of Ka-Atis. Vore itself is stimulating but it's secondary to the thrill I get seeing someone dominated by a bigger and stronger pred. First and foremost, I want to run/struggle for my life. The pred, whether male or female, has to be dominant and overwhelming or the vore might as well not even happen. Devouring or being devoured is the icing on the cake.

First off, this is awfully nice of you, and for that you have my thanks. As for me personally, I believe vore stemmed from my initial fetish in things like women eating a lot and big bellies in general. Because as far back as I can remember, I did have such an interest, and my ideas did have a few vorish additions to them but nothing major. My brain made a connection between the two (vore = bigger bellies) around my late childhood/early teens and I started to take an interest in vore. But I know you prefer humans only, and I sometimes being satisfied with furries or sometimes even animal characters, but only if they are females or, at least girlish-looking (if cut-off all context, of course), but it' s all only because not so much of our favourite things can be found in official media like TV-series, cartoons, anime e.t.c., and sometimes even known kontent (like episode "There's something about Renee" from "Proud Family") is just can't be found nowhere, or very hard to find even in full context (like scene from Urusei Yatsura, when Shinobu swallows whole burger - I have all episodes and still cant find from what episode that scene) and I think is ALOT of that content (like scenes from anime, cartoons & other, that we never seen) is unknown, but too hard to find.
