Found on Facebook this concept artist, Camille Renversade, depicting legendary hybrids in pseudoscientific way. His Snake-woman is stunning

"When Melusine change herself into snake, the metamorphosis first affect the lower half of her body : her spin extend and her legs nearly disappear completely. Other modifications are less visible : her tongue become bifid ; and her canine venomous fang. Her jaws split into two extensible part."
That a little translation of the wall of text above for those interested and who don't speak French.
The two annotations on the diagram are "imprudent lover (digesting)" and "vestigial legs".
