Vore illusions & hypnotic effects

Postby MirceaKitsune » Sun Sep 07, 2014 11:32 am

I occasionally like looking at drawings of illusion, eye catching brain effects, or subliminal images of other sorts. A common example are those spirals which, if you look at a center dot, you see spinning in one direction they are static. There's also simple animations with hypnotic effects, which are equally interesting.

Being such a big vore fan and all that, the thought occurred to me: Has anyone ever tried drawing anything that could be qualified as... well, a vore illusion? Basically vore images that use flashes, unusual shapes, and other funky designs... to create out of the ordinary effects and trick the brain. If you want a silly example that comes to mind, a mawshot of maw painted with a spiral pattern, which spins if you look at a fixed point in the back of the throat and move back or forth. Not quite something that makes sense, but you get the idea.

I admit I'm interested because I'm curious how such effects could be used in art to make it more realistic and immersive at times, including vore stuff. I don't expect much art of this sort to exist... but well, what do you all know?

I haven't seen anything of it, but I do agree that it is an interesting idea.

I posted this a while back -->

It's not a drawing, but a nice way to make *any* image more vivid, it works particularly well on mawshots. ;)

[The example images are not loadable anymore, but that doesn't matter, they were just examples anyway. What really matters and what you need is the video :D]

Aha... very nice find! Tried that out and it indeed works. Kind of overhand that you must stare one minute at the spiral for an effect that only lasts 5 seconds, but it's worth it.

If anyone's curious what that effect is: When you stare at the back of the throat of a mawshot, you see the maw deforming and wavering... which is pretty realistic. It should also be worth trying with stomach shots (post-vore prey POV).

I've recently watched videos about drawings with special illusions and was reminded of this thread. I figured mentioning a few here might inspire ideas to vore artists, since the tricks could be used to create vore art with special realistic effects. Check out the channels themselves for more for more 3D art illusions... some appear to be specifically about this sort of thing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvNOHcih_L0 This video shows how to create an anamorphic depth effect on a bent tunnel, using nothing but strong and properly drawn outlines. That trick could work amazingly for a mawshot with a throat, and I'm actually wondering if someone might tried this one already.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBBmv1Vsjjs An example of how to create a stronger than usual depth effect for a blocky scene. Unlike other anamorphic illusions, this one is interesting because the effect seems to work no matter which angle you look at the paper from.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nS3F7I3hvfQ Simple example of a skewed anamorphic illusion, which comes to life when seen from the proper angle. These can be useful for vore art that's printed and positioned somewhere where it will be seen from the right angle, usable to bring vore monsters to life in your room :)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hjfnl1eMhBQ A more complex example of skewed anamorphic illusions, which shows how outlines plus perspective can be used to create a very convincing effect. Useful for more complex scenes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zn2VYPsovZM Another skewed anamorphic illusion, this time of a character / creature. An useful example on how characters themselves can be done in this way.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjk0Os0Vs4o An example of creating depth by drawing on 3 square pieces of paper which are then positioned into a semi-cube. This is less useful for online art, and more useful for prints and such.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gprr8ARtml8 Another anamorphic example which I found inspiring, this time someone doing it on their hand.

Given there's something new to post, I figured I'd revive this. Also because I'm interested in seeing more, but so far nothing worth putting here came up! Except this, which is some good for the scope of this thread:
