In an older sonic cartoon series from my childhood, robotnik would want to "robottisize" sonic. I was wishing it'd happen for so long, and I wish some art of it existed.
The show I refer to is "sonic underground".

Wasn't just sonic underground, Sonic Sat AM had that premise as well, to the point of one of the side cast being half robot. It's an interesting concept.
