I've been stalking this site for years now. I've read stories, seen so many pictures, sketches, drawings, watched animations etc., but there are still some things I haven't seen anywhere yet.
And it's not like these ideas are extremely specific or far-fetched. At least they don't seem that way to me, maybe it's just me after all.
It makes me wonder, am I really the only weirdo thinking about such things? Or maybe some stories involving similar ideas do exist, and I just looked in the wrong places?
For example, one thing that's been haunting my brain the longest now: "Unpregnancy"
Unbirth isn't uncommon at all, but usually one of three things happen next:
-Prey is kept safe and eventually released
-Prey somehow gets digested/absorbed/molten and makes a mess
-Pred is now pregnant and Prey changes species to be born as Pred's child
However, what I was thinking about would be best described as pregnancy in reverse. Like, the prey gets nested in the womb, devolves back to a fetus, eventually a bunch of cells...
Sure, you could argue that this is just slow absorption, but to me that's something different.
So, does anyone else have these "I can't be the only one" moments?
I've got a couple more examples, but I'm not sure anyone even wants to read them
