so, can you properly give the instruction on how to install the VGame and moding the game maybe?

Instructions for both of those things (insofar as this mod is concerned) are in the first post.

I've heard quite a bit about this game and some people enjoying it here and there, I'd eventually decided to give it a try and download whatever I needed to play the game, only there's one problem. I don't know how to properly install it, and knowing me, I need a somewhat detailed guide on how to install and mount together whatever I have to play this game. Anyone willing to lend a hand on how to install the entirety of VGame?

I know you just updated the front post with better instructions, and I just tried installing the game with the mod but
I can't seem to get any of the sprites to work still.

and on top of that I have skimmed through some of the pages to see if anyone has talked about it but I couldn't find anything. So if someone could be so kind that would be much appreciated.

I Followed the Instruction, but it doesn't really tell me how to get it to properly get it to actually run, since I tried to use the Java to use the Jar, but it doesn't seems to work as when I click, I see a quick black screen that then quickly dissipates, any idea how to have a proper working Java file that can get it to play it?

btw, I don't see any changes of the Installation Instructions, nor is the first sentance speech seemed to changed

I'm not sure what you're referring to. The files I referenced in the first post are 'proper working java files', so will function correctly if they are properly installed.

Your error sounds like it falls under the 'Game won't start' category in the troubleshooter, in that it is an issue with your java installation or file associations that's making your OS do something other than execute the jar file when you double click it. Like it says in the first post, that can be fixed, but I can't tell you how to do it. That will depend on your operating system and how java is configured for you. You can try running it from the command line or a batch file, but again how exactly you need to do that will depend on how your particular computer is configured.

Good luck, and if you figure out what's wrong, please post your solution here so other people can hopefully benefit from it as well.

So... I know this existed ages ago when there were only like three chapters to this game. But after so many more chapters and modifications everything's gotten a little lost on me. Does anyone have a screenshot compilation or similar of like, the entire game map? I know someone was making them as part of a walkthrough or something early on but... again, that was forever ago and I'm not sure they kept the project up. It's so easy to get lost in huge areas and on winding paths... I'm just looking for something comprehensive that can clearly guide me through the game and give a better idea of where I can actually go (and need to go). The more visual the better.

Weren't there someone one made JavaScript allow us to change our character's appearance? I checked a few threads all related to this game but couldn't find it if anyone knows or has that I'd be glad if could share it here

Character properties can not be modified by cheating (except for 'STR'). Example: str60, dex20, after using addstats (20, DEX) code, it becomes str80, dex20……I don't know if it's the game itself or the mod... I need a solution. :(

I do seem to recall a complete map somewhere, but I can't recall where I saw it. I know there are fragments for various chapters elsewhere in this thread. At one point I did look into what it would take to set up an automatic area map of some sort in game, but the data unfortunately wouldn't allow for it as the world is non-euclidian and the data is not set up in a way that makes it obvious which maps connect to which other ones.

Unfortunately changing the character's appearance is extremely difficult. The character is rendered separately with each set of armor and in each pose, meaning there are hundreds of images that would need editing. If you're still interested though, the relevant images are in the player directory.

You misunderstand the usage of AddStats. It takes 5 numbers, and adds each of them to each of your stats respectively. It's been a while but I believe that the order is the same as the order the stats appear on the player card in the bottom right.
