Also, for anyone stuck on the game, and those who are having a hard time finding a guide. I stumbled across one:

(SPOILER ALERT)

https://aryion.com/g4/view/207320

Also TIP:

If you are having a hard time seeing sprites or pictures of sprites past chapter 5, don't get stuck or pissed off like I did, fix it.

When you download the last four installs 6 a 6 b 7 a 7 b, the archives are set up with a final 2 folder. Simply move all files from your 'final 2' folder, into your 'final' folder. The final folder for those that do not know where to look for this is located under the Production folder. Everything connected to how the game is scripted to run tells the game to look for the all of the pictures in the final folder, and it will not look for pictures in 'final 2'.

VGame is incompatible with JRE8. You have to have 1.7 / JRE7.

Recent versions of my mod are in fact compatible with jre8 and 64 bit java (and probably also macos and linux) as they remove the mdb dependencies.

As for the problems with Edge, I have no idea. It sounds like your file associations are broken, but I can't really offer any better advice than I already have.

Neither the chapter 7 link or the full game link works.

Well, it's no wonder that the full link doesn't works anymore, after all is it already some years since megaupload was shut down.
Didn't you tried the mediafire link for chapter 7?
That works without the slightest problem.

Here are all the links from the download section for the game:

can someone also give me a link to a java installation that will be compatible for the seven chapters. i always get the error where when you click the run.bat file it just brings up a window and closes. Also do i need a previous version of windows or will windows 10 be viable for installation?

Hi there,

here's my copy of the game without any savegame.
(Chapter 1-7 + Seifens mod)
Runs fine on my laptop with Win 10 and the latest Java.

Just unpack and run the vgame.jar
Mega.nz

Have Fun!

I can confirm with 7zip anyway - the archive appears to be corrupted.

Then might your download be corrupted, because unpacking it with 7zip works without the slightest problem.
I recommend to redownload the file, to try it again.

i was unpacking it with rar opener and i thought seeing as it's a big file it would take a while to download. but after giving it like 4 hours to download with no progress on the bar i thought something wasn't right. also, even if i downloaded it i still can't find a java version that plays nice with vgame.

I used to be able to edit the save data for the game in Access from the VSave or VData files but I can't find any reference to my new saves anywhere, are they being recorded elsewhere in this version?
