As far as i know EKA does not support pirating anything at all period.
Maybe one of the admins could come and clear this up for everyone?

If all that is being provided is a translation file, which cannot be used to play the game by itself, and requires that people already own the game in order to use it, I do not believe it is considered pirating. That's just my opinion though, but I don't know that much about programming so I can't say for sure what that file type does.

The .xp3 file is basically where all the game data is stored so just uploading one with translated text would be pretty much piracy since all the other game data would be there as well. Obviously can not go that route. Writing a batch file to make changes to an existing .xp3 file based on your translation file would be the best way to go about it. However this would only be if you asked permission. If you change the authors work in any way (even a translation) you had best get permission first. It is just common courtesy.

camel says there is another way to translate. Use patch.xp3. It's no piracy.
He claims not to distribute data.xp3 since it includes all graphic data.

I started making a translation patch, planning on only translating battle messages and not dialog, but almost all of the attack messages are really intertwined with character dialog. Google translate works fine for battle messages, but when characters are saying things, it gets iffy, and I didn't want to mess up what characters were saying. If only I spoke fluent Japanese

Well, since I lost all my data to a virus attack a few months ago, and really don't feel like going for the long haul a third time, would it be possible to have a video at some point that has all the possible scenes? My luck has been absolutely awful lately.

I tried the filedropper link, and it's broken. It just autodirects you to the homepage.

And I tried the link on the ULMF, but...while I can download the file just fine, when I try to open it, it just gives me an error saying "The compressed file is invalid."

Never even heard of an error like that before. It's extremely frustrating. I'd post over on the ULMF, but their account validation function is apparently still completely broken after seven months, so I can't get an activation email.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm really at the end of my rope, here.
