Re: New attempt at making a vore platformer
Let's see, the game works as I could finish without trouble.
I like that there is a gulping action, and that she is moving not as agile as before with a full belly.
I didn't really find a use for the burp move, but I am sure it can have some use.
Do you regain health or something by digesting critters?

Re: New attempt at making a vore platformer (Version 1.5)
Good game so far! It shows great potential.
A few improvements I'd hope to see: full screen mode (gives a better view), hammers/burps first hit stuns enemy, second kills (stunned enemies makes good meals), separate eat and digest buttons (more meals at once = bigger belly = me happy), prey struggles during walk, not only wen digested (because logic. And it's hot)
I hope my suggestions help! Keep up the good work

Not bad, The more the better I say, do you plan to keep working on the other game as well though?

Re: New attempt at making a vore platformer (Version 1.5)
Just to make this clear HGA is not really dead, is just i don't have much time anymore couse of work and taking care of my mother, but i still got everything, files and sprites. But the most important thing is that HGA inspired other to make more vore platform game, that was the entire reason i made it in the first place. So please, go ahead, continue on this way, you have done very well so far.
And don't worry, HGA might come back someday

I discovered that eating the fish evidently causes this game to crash so it seems.

Hmm... perhaps there should be options to mute the background music...

That sounds like an good / interesting idea.Mushroomfly wrote:Hmm... perhaps there should be options to mute the background music...
Or a possibility to change the volume of the BGM (background music) and SE (sound effects).

Re: New attempt at making a vore platformer (Version 1.91.1)
Tried out the game, and i must say it's simple and works well. I would recommend 1 or 2 changes;
I think the player should be able to set individual keys or be able to cycle through different sets. I tend to use my dominate fingers for jumping and they settle on the s and d keys. It's always annoying when you need to make a split second jump and end up trying to eat or attack the projectile coming at ya.
I feel that the player should be able to run, using sonic sprites and levels only reinforces that feeling. I do love the idea of reduced mobility when full of prey, and I think that the running speeds if implemented should be tweaked to keep that effect.
Couple bugs I noticed one minor and one major. First, I can't seem to eat the flying enemies no matter what I try - I'm guessing it's a matter of bad timing on my part. Second and most important, my firewall complained about several global hooks being installed in my registry when I ran the demo. I assumed that this was how game maker sets up it's engine /platform, however upon completing the level and exiting the demo my computer crashed. I didn't even get the dreaded BSOD just a Black Screen and complete system crash. Has this happened to anyone else?

Re: New attempt at making a vore platformer (Version 1.91.1)
As far as I can remember the only other thing running was firefox. The crash occurred as soon as I clicked the exit game option at the end of the demo. Click and the whole thing died. I haven't tried it again yet, if i do I'll let you know what happens.
That's fine for the flying enemies, i had a feeling you couldn't eat them, one of your earlier statement said you successfully ate all the enemies and i assumed you meant the fliers as well so i thought i was doing it wrong.
As for the running option i would have thought that your sprite pack would have included a faster animation set for running being from sonic and all. My grasp of coding procedure plotted it out like this: double tap direction for running > platform uses running sprite (which animates at a set faster speed) instead of the walking sprite. I'm trying to learn Scirra's Construct engine, it's a lot simpler, you might want to check it out.
If my idea doesn't work as easily, I think the sprint with stamina bar is a great compromise, a full belly could decrease the available amount of stamina or lower the the total amount of the bar itself until digestion finishes. This would keep with the loss of mobility from eating enemies.

In terms of the robots voring you back.. I would imagine them gulping you up and them doing damage to you from their inside as you work your way out. Something like that. It gives the enemies more a threatening presence. Not like an instant game over.

Re: New attempt at making a vore platformer (Version 1.95)
There seems to be random crash spots in the game, the main one is when I try to actually attack Dr. Robotnik (eggman, whichever version of evil genius you chose ), the game crashes as I land a hit, hope this helps (this may have been before update yesterday, I played it yesterday morning). Just tried it again, seems mainly to glitch while attacking Eggman.
