Re: Devourment Knowledge Resource
look for this line of code(if it's still there), i asked for it to be removed because it disabled futa SOS animations but was rejected at the time of request(the section after the && is likely the genital check)
return netimmerse.hasNode(game.GetPlayer() as objectreference, "Devourment Belly Root", false) && !netimmerse.hasNode(game.GetPlayer() as objectreference, "NPC GenitalsBase [GenBase]", false)
return netimmerse.hasNode(game.GetPlayer() as objectreference, "Devourment Belly Root", false) && !netimmerse.hasNode(game.GetPlayer() as objectreference, "NPC GenitalsBase [GenBase]", false)

I used to get around it by rolling a custom race with the 'female' skeleton attached to the male mesh etc.
Tbh it's been so long since I looked at the thing I barely remember what I did but that was the gist. Essentially a full set of custom 'female' races that used all male assets.
I never considered attempting that at all. You may very well have saved my attempts. Thank you. While I have your attention would you know how exactly it checks if it's a male or female skeleton? If it has anything to do with the .pex files, I can probably find and disable that check.
Shaky recollection is that it looks for skeleton_female dot whatever, and rejects anything else. Males use 'skeleton' dot whatever by default.

Re: Devourment Knowledge Resource
So, question about belly textures. In my game the belly texture doesn’t really match the pigmentation of the character (often times its too light). I’ve seen videos where the belly texture more or less matches the color and texture of the model used. I’ve also noticed the belly animations (struggling and whatnot) are different too. Is that a different version of devourment, or what?
I’m using version 0.65d and CBBE. Thanks in advance.

Are you using an ENB? It's not really going to match on vanilla post processing no matter what you do. The enhanced shaders ENB brings to the table helps tremendously to blend the belly and body textures together. (Look into ENBOOST if your run into hardware limitations.)
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/categories/97/?BH=0
The CBBE texture doesn't match the bellies very well. My recommendation for body textures is the full body 2k leyenda skin. (The 4k is too fine to match the belly texture.) Install with mod manager, it looks good, matches gat's belly well, has many options, including a very nice looking fatty belly texture if post vore weight gain via weight morphs is your thing. I recommend this as well as the seam is much more noticeable on a slimbody.
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/73512
There are two different belly textures, maltisa's belly texture is the lighter shaded one as it's based on the fair skin complexion mod (I'm not much of a fan of it's face textures.) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51602/
Gat's belly texture is the older and slightly darker one. It's the default textures in the 3.31.16 pack and I think the 7.17.16 pack.
Go into the 3.31 pack and grab: Data\textures\xomod\devour\those 4 belly files, then copy them to Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\data\textures\xomod\devour. Overwrite when asked.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/0yhnee8oufav7z0/Devourment%20.65d%20pack%203.31.16.rar?dl=0
On top of that, I try to wear custom armor that reveals the navel to reduce the obviousness of the seam, while still covering most of the player in gear so the seams won't stand out anywhere near as much as they do on a nude body.
I use both of these modular bodyslide ready gear mods. They allow for a great deal more customization then vanilla. (It's also fairly easy to retexture most of it with other retexture mods out there to personalize it even more.)
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/83383
https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/1398-accessorize/
There are others as well.
Additem menu for QoL if you don't feel like grinding them out. (Very handy mod for exploring custom gear mods.) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/64905
Even after all that, it still won't be a perfect match, only way to do that is to morph the entire body like Voremersion can do with coldsteelj's bodies, and even then there is still typically texture clipping on most outfits.
Alternate bellies are in the optional folder in the 7.17.16 pack. Directions are included. 4 sizes, 2 different meshes. Massive and Gigantic are FUZZ1029's, Original and Larger are Gat's. You can mix and match, it's a matter of preference.

Devourment Modpack Update 8.5.18: https://aryion.com/forum/blog/kongpow/devourment_v0.65d_mod_pack_b-26087.html
I still need to test it more and make sure it continues to work after running non stop for a couple hours, it seems stable though so I decided to upload this tonight. Let me know if you run into problems.
Cheers.

Pahe and devourment don't tend to get along in general unfortunately. I'm somewhat surprised it's not randomly crashing on you. The updated version of paradise halls (not enhanced) on the nexus to be far more stable, though it's also incompatible with most of the enhanced addons.

Well, that's unfortunate thanks for the quick response though. (: Was also wondering if it's possible to remove rapid digestion that occurs during combat? Maybe with the creation kit?

I wish, someone who knows a bit about modding would probably have to do it as it's likely to not be possible with out modifying the mod's scripts in some way. I'd make it a default if someone actually pulled it off and shared it with us though.

So, I was curious if the "digest essential characters" feature actually works? I suppose I haven't tested it as well as I could, but I know I have a habit of running into situations where a character just refuses to digest... and then they seem to get locked into a buggy health cycle where they can't be killed at all.

Some characters are set up with infinite health. Trust me I've tried it on a modded char and they just can't die. Even if the "Kill" console command is used.

Thaaaaat sounds weird. XD I don't understand why it would do that. Especially since some of the characters I've had it happen with are just random encounters... (to my knowledge at least XP)

Every time an essential character is swallowed, their health is refilled to max for some reason. This makes it very hard to digest certain characters even with max base vore stats. People with really high health might also have a base regen faster than digestion as this happens to the payer char at a certain point. Using enchanted vore armor can help this sometimes.

Re: Devourment Knowledge Resource
You could try using a mod that simply removes the essential flags from npc. Not sure if it would work since I haven't tried, but I see no reason for it not to. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18388/
Careful though, you can easily break quests if you do this.

Pretty sure that wouldn't be compatible with other mods I use, based on previous experience with killable children mods. But I could use it as a reference point if I wanted to go through and edit literally every npc with TES5 Edit... XD

Thaaaaaaat is just weird. Okay. Well, if we knew what was causing that to happen, then that sounds like an easier edit to make provided I knew where to look.

I'm having trouble getting the in belly conversation stuff working, I've been messing around with the mod load order to find the right balance but it's still not working right. Can you take a look at this image of my mod list and tell me if I have the order wrong or missing something else:

Your load order should be fine if you ran LOOT to sort it.
Belly conversation stuff not working would most likely mean there's something wrong with fuz ro d-oh. Try reinstalling it and see if that does anything. It won't show up in your plugin tab though because it's a SKSE plugin and doesn't have any .esp or .esm plugins to activate.

Just noticed that it was updated this year in January, so this probably not going to be a unique issue to you and I'll likely update the pack again to fix it. I'll look into it later, thanks for letting me know.

I'm using the Skyrim Special Edition, I know that makes a lot of difference since all the mods are unique to each game.

Currently, I think the only thing standing in the way is the male skeleton being incompatible with the mod because I get a warning saying "incompatible skeleton" but, it could be on the coding side too. I've managed to make it to where male npcs will eat you but the stomach will not inflate and the prey dialogue when pressing "g" will not initiate.
The only issue I'm having is with the belly scalling the rest is working perfectly fine ^^. I added devourment nodes to male skeletons and this message is gone. Now belly scaling is the only problem.
