Old Fromage Versions

Postby bleckard » Sat Oct 25, 2014 4:26 am

Hello. I have come to you all because I lack expertise in searching.
Some you may know Fromage, a game made by Asimofu. It has three versions, as far as I know. I've seen the most recent version and the download link to it plenty of times.
(For those of you who want the most recent version, it's at http://u3.getuploader.com/ryona/downloa ... age004.zip -- the password is "ryona")
However, I know that previous versions of the game had a more "zoomed out" perspective (sprites smaller), different animations, and several other differences.
I've tried searching for downloads to the two older versions, but I didn't have any success. I only found two RapidShare links, one for each version, which are no longer "found" (they're deleted).
(Just to be complete and neat, the two links that I found that no longer work are http://rapidshare.com/files/222278937/fromage.zip and http://rapidshare.com/files/239334084/fromage.zip -- that may help cut down on searching.)
If anyone can help me get these two older versions of Fromage, I would greatly appreciate it.

Tried to download it and Chrome blocked it, saying it was malicious software.

That is odd. I just tried to download it and it said the same thing. Hold on I will fix this.

Edit* So chrome doesn't like you downloading EXEs. You can take my word it's not malicious software and disable whatever is keeping you from downloading it, or don't download it. http://puu.sh/cqMku/8e463de057.png

Here I uploaded my Fromage folder without zipping it. You can download all the other files but the exes. https://mega.co.nz/#F!wZhViJTa!RMbiJ3Blk-bBE6Sz8u4Rxg

Or maybe the copy I have is actually malicious software to begin with.

Wow, I'm honestly surprised. I expected this to be much harder, and you single-handedly solved it in just one post, Sheights.
My anti-virus doesn't seem to take the files as a threat, so I think it's fine.
Thank you very much -- I'll gladly take it!

Ok. Cottage Cheese, and Feta...

Get it?

Because Fromage is French for Cheese, and those are the two oldest types of cheese on the planet.

Huh, HUH!

(God that was the most Hipsterie joke in the history of bad jokes.)

It wasn't a bad joke. It's pretty well thought of, to be honest.

Hey! Sorry for bumping a 4-year-old thread, but I noticed the MEGA link Sheights posted is no longer available. I thought I'd keep these publicly accessible, because I still haven't seen anyone else re-upload them. So here's a new link, in case anyone wants it!:

Maybe remind us what Fromage is so we know if we even want it or not.

That should be more than enough information to google it. I was more-so providing a new link for lurkers who know of it and were searching around for it, not to randomly introduce specifically you to it... You don't have to download it if you don't want it... I would have just edited the original post if I knew someone was going to respond so rudely to a public service.
But fine, I'll tell you anyway: it's an unfinished 2D platformer made in HSP (Hot Soup Processor) with purely girl-vored-by-monster themes. It's made by the same person who would go on to work with D-Gate (or "Camel") on the Echidna Wars (or "Mirea Wars") games, which are pretty dang good.

Jeez, I'm sorry, as a vore game I didn't EXPECT to get any google results, I wasn't trying to be rude...

Thank you...

Oh -- well, in that case, I'm sorry, too! I guess they tend to be obscure, so I can see why you didn't expect to see results. But you should be careful how you phrase things -- it came off a little haughty to me, sorry.

Dude, I fucking love you for this! I've known about Fromage for god knows how long, but always only had the final version that came out. Seen images and videos of version with the snake and tried to find it for what feels like a decade by now (probably not true and a slight exaggeration)! So stoked to finally have it! Thanks a ton man!

Just curious, how do you pick up items like swords and bows lying around?

The... "X" key I think? And "C" is to release the power, allowing you to pick up another one.
*after testing* Yeah. X and C.
