Postby Scout » Wed Dec 31, 2014 6:48 pm

Version 2.1 now available! Download at Bottom!

Image

Paleo Vore Run or PVR is a Pseudo 3D runner I'm currently developing in Multimedia Fusion. I'm developing this primarily for Flash, Android devices, but also developing for PC as well.
Note: Game contains clothes torn, nudity, vore, implied digestion, and scat(optional). NO blood, rape, or gore.

2.1 New Features:
Improved animations,
New Environments,
Tons of collectables treasure,
New Monsters,

Improved Sound and More ambient sounds,
Music,
Starting Cutscene,
+More

Story:
Scout, Looking for treasure found herself falling through a rift in time and space, winding up in an alternate prehistoric world where everything eats meat, and shes is the most desired thing on the menu. However in this world, there is no escape. She tries time and time again to escape her fate. Getting farther each time.

Gameplay:
Concept is simple, survive as long as possible by avoiding getting getting eaten various ancient and fantasy creatures. Your aiming for a high score before she becomes chow and have to start all over again. You gain score for distance traveled, treasure collected, and for achievements.

Controls:
Keyboard:
Left Key = Move Left
Right Key = Move Right
Up = Jump
Escape = Close Game

Mouse/Android:
Left Click (tap on android) to the left of Akari = Move Left
Left Click (tap on android) to the right of Akari = Move Right
Left Click (tap on android) on Akari = Jump
Left Click (tap on android) near top of game window/screen = Jump
Note: The game plays in landscape mode on Android

Secret Achievements/Bonuses
Aside from gaining points from time-distance, there are other ways to quickly build points. When you perform certain actions at certain times, reach certain milestones, interact in certain ways with your enemy, or even die certain ways you will receive achievements and bonus points ranging from +100 to +1000. Certain achievements are repetitive, meaning you will receive bonus every time you perform the action, and others are once per run. When an achievement is unlocked you will see a visual confirmation via the name of the achievement with the number of points it is worth. The name usually hints at the rules of unlocking so remember what you did.

PS I said they are secret so I'm not listing what they are :) But your free to discuss and post when you discover them.

Cute, but the screaming is a bit much, and the annoying gasps when she jumps are a bit frustrating.

I didn't find the screaming too bad. it wasn't too loud. The gasp with the jump is odd though

The vore scenes are rather humourous, hehe.

I can't even get to the raptor and the only times I do that stupid Giga-Trilobyte. Can you like just remove that thing or put a non-ambush mode? Everytime I get near to the raptor spawning I jump to avoid and just get gobbled up by a plant after landing. The game's great but please rework or add a toggle for that thing. It's like the devil himself in games like this.

Thanks for playing + feedback Dragonvorelover135!

So, I'm working on some limitations to enemy spawning. Basically certain enemies (including the Giga-Trilobite) wont spawn if there are already 2 or more enemies currently on screen (this does not prevent enemies from spawning after though). Also there is a 1 out of 4 chance enemies will skip a spawn cycle. While not 100% these should reduce the amount of times the screen becomes over-saturated with enemies. Currently testing how this affects gameplay.

Hey I uploaded version 1.2 For PCs and Android Devices! Check out Top Post!

1.2 Changes:
-Added colored background
-Added code that prevents certain enemies from spawning when there are too many enemies on screen.
-Added code that 1 in 4 spawn cycles are ignored. Gives some randomness and luck into the game.

@Dragonvorelover135
Unfortunately afters testing with spawn cycles of the trilobite, they need to spawn when they do for gameplay reasons. They break up dodging left and right movements you spend most of the game doing. The game gets pretty stale without regular appearances. However I made some changes to the other cycles and that should help with the difficulty. Though keep in mind this game is intended to be difficult.

I've been hearing a lotta complaints about the obnoxious screaming.
Should probably add a setting/toggle that turns the screams off.

Sure sounds like a good idea.

Noted. Ill add a switch.

Though there were more complaints about screaming in the previous versions because they were the only sounds in the game :P

I noticed there was an option to turn off music in the windows .exe version. Whenever I do turn it off I have to mute all sounds and unmute them to get the music off and sounds on. But it resets after you die and have to start over.

Not sure if it was supposed to work in this version but thought I would let you know.

Immediate issues I have are that

A: Most animations are extremely minimal, but that's not automatically a bad thing

B: The jump option is so brief and short vertically that it might as well not exist, it's barely even enough to clear the hitbox for the one enemy that it's used against

C: The barnacle monster's hitbox is absurdly disjointed, you can be nowhere near the "tongue" and still get grabbed because a pixel of your character passed under the rest of it.

Thank you, I forgot about those. Those were built in with engine(and only work with windows), and only MIDI sounds are considered music, and all my music is in WAV format which the engine considers to be samples. I will eventually build my own sound controller to work on all ports, and maybe volume control too.

A - Sorry about that, pixel art isn't my thing, so its hard to make the small details.

B - Jump is really intended to be situational, I don't want you jumping over dino's. Right now jump is only intended for two monsters (Carnivore Plants and the Trylobite). More obstacles/monsters are planned that will make more use of the jump function.

C - Thank you, I am seeing this bug, will work on it.
