Nope, which is a real shame. It does seem like a great game.

There is a specific tool you need to text hook MV games. First you have to decrypt it which again takes a new tool. Once it is decrypted you have two .exe files (the original and the decrypted one) and a folder called "%DEFAULT FOLDER%". You will have to delete the original .exe file and then cut and paste the contents of the %DEFAULT FOLDER% into the same folder as the decrypted .exe. Once all that is done you can run the custom patcher on the decrypted .exe and take all the defaults except the last one which seems to just be an optional cheat. Now when you run the game it should capture all the text for you nicely.

Here is the tool to decrypt (EnigmaVBunpacker) and the text hooker patch program. Grab them quick I don't have an account on mega and the link will expire. If someone wants to make a more permanent link that would be ideal.

For those of you using Atlas to translate you will have to use a different interface for it. Seems Atlas can't properly format the text so it can't translate it without some help. Go find the latest version of something like translator aggregator and use it to smooth out the text for Atlas. Once this is done it can translate it properly. Other translation programs should be fine.

Edi: Just did some testing and I believe that the patching or decryption of the files is imperfect. I thought it was just a bug with the game, but it appears that it messes with the choice menus and makes some options not work. Someone with MV might be able to put it to rights again, but for now please be aware that if you use this method some scenes will be unavailable to you.

Edit2: Further testing leads me to believe it to be a problem with the text hooker. I might have to go looking for a newer version of it. Seems like it would be a fairly important bug to fix.

The pass is "shuugaku" and it is a small game that really isn't worth it right now.
