Re: Ultimate Blackjack
Wow, I never expected to see that dealer. This is great news! I'm curious to see what extra feature you're talking about too.

forumlurker, As am I!! Lol, checking to see how deep the rabbit hole can go.
dbgtdude, Heyaa! 58% as of last Monday! Will update again this next Monday! I, ehmm, I can't actually say precisely how much ._. (I mean, ofc I can, but we established a rule for this thread--no more talking about the exact price--and had to remove a few threads on account of it).
Wayyyyyy back in the day--back when the game was released with its one lonely dealer, Raven, I told the forum *exactly* how much money it cost to have all of the images drawn. I did that in hopes of giving a realistic sense of what it would cost to have the project continue with community-raised funds. Naturally, the price was...well...it was something like 15 times more than most people pay for a commission. Made sense, given that I commissioned about 15 separate, draw-from-scratch images.
Unfortunately, the next 6 or so pages of replies were mix of 40% "ooh, I like this game" and 60% "Here's my unsolicited opinion about what things should and should not cost." Some people got pretty personal about it, too, when the artist stepped in and tried to explain the time and work involved.
From that point onwards, I've kept a running tally of Paypal notices and updated the percentage weekly. I want everyone to see that the community donations are making progress! And I do not want people comparing quality of work and quantity of work per dollar between the artists. It's how feelings get hurt, the community gets divided, and nobody gets cool games made
In general, all commissions have cost between 300 and 800 dollars. The amount of priority that the artist has given the work, the detail per image, the number of images--all kinds of things have varied per each artist's taste and ability, and thus the cost of the commission has, as well
It's not Monday yet, but I have a feeling that we'll be eyeing 65% by Monday......... ;D We'll see!

Schpadoinkle, nahhh. Erika will have just one line, full volume: "HEY, THIS IS PORN!!!"
Kiddin Since this is a new feature, and not found in any other dealer, players will first need to opt to turn ON Erika's voice each time they enter her area of the casino. She defaults to silent. Then, once her VO is active, there will be a mute button in the corner in case one regrets one's decision and does not wish to back out to the lobby.
Userunnown, oooh~ The community will thank you! ;D

I'm not seeing that, I still see 65%. Perhaps your page is cached?

Re: Ultimate Blackjack
Pretty sure I already donated (so long ago) for this dealer, but the notion of voice acting intrigues. So I'll donate again =)

Re: Ultimate Blackjack
Whereaminow27, heh, I have seen all of the artwork. Definitely will be a thing. Pretttty certain about voice, but can never be certain till I know all of the VO is done.
Bright, Liz, lol, there miight be some of that...
forumlurker, Userunnown, you are correct! And I am incorrect ._. With the addition of voice-acting, the cost of the total commission increased! BUT....by a ludicrously small amount--basically 1 donation. Definitely not breaking the bank, but it brought us down from 65%. But, I don't know *what* I computed, since 58% is not the correct amount. We are below 65%, but we are at 61% -- as I said, the VO doesn't add a lot of $. Fixing image soon, good catch!
Battalia, Yayyyyy! thank you!!!!
