that the one were they send you up and you teleport back down to get back to the location and you poof to the ship again? if so I too am curious if that's gonna get fixed in the update. I've love to many nice bases from that glitch.

i beam down to the planet, and move to a certain area in my house and it auto ports me back to the ship, it's only been happening after i summoned like 3 npc's. spo's seem to have no issue but i'm trying to make a sort of swamp village full of alligators, newts and some sharks.

Yeah, I highly recommend keeping "storage" folder backups whenever you start putting down vore tenants. If there are two predator tenants capable of eating each other, there's a chance they'll manage to eat each other at the same time thanks to one being stationary in a furniture item and that can corrupt the world.
It's more likely the more predators you have in one spot.

I have a bug to report: Ruto seems to think they are a spider, with a web.
(Also, shouldn't they be Zora? Then again, that could be a different tenant type. Maybe one that likes Ice and Prism furniture.)

... why would someone post it on the workshop. I get that it doesn't violate steams rules anymore but still bad idea.

No, it still violates Steam's rules. One of the first rules Steam has is to not post what could be considered pornographic or offensive content on the workshop.

While it wouldn't surprise me if those are the rules, games like amorous (furry porn game) have made it onto steam. Not meant as an argument, just stating that pretty much anything gets on to steam these days, including porn and offensive material.

Those, however, are full games, that have been greenlit and have had people pay for them. Workshop mods on the other hand, are entirely user generated.

Said rule was removed a few months back, when they went fuck it and said that they are not monitoring the community, the only things that violate it now are outright abuses and trolling items. For steam as a system anyway. The fact that nude mods are now making it onto the workshops and not being pulled down shows that they are sticking with their hands off aproach.

That said the company for which the game belongs may still enforce the rules.

Bumping the thread with a question or rather, a problem.

I cannot get the mod to work and don't get any error report, each time i try to load Starbound the game crashes after the chucklefish logo. Is the mod outdated by any chance?

Gotta follow the standard bug report procedure.

Get the bug to occur, quit the game, find starbound.log (not starbound.log.1 or whatever) in <steamapps>/common/Starbound/storage, and post that log here.

That being said, the mod is slightly outdated, but it still works with the current version of Starbound. Did you get a character creation extender mod as well? SSVM needs it due to having added some playable races.

Starbound will work just fine with added races, even without an extender. The extender is only required to be able to select those races.

Alright, here's the log and thank you for pointing this out. But still, i have the character extender installed and the problem clearly comes from the mod, since when i move it out of the folder the games run smoothly.

Ah. Welp. Found the issue...

Code: Select all
[10:40:07.936] [Error] Application: exception thrown, shutting down: (ItemException) Object drop 'orcanachest' shares name with existing item

SSVM has Orcana preds, however, the actual Orcana mod added its own new items recently, and unfortunately, there was an incompatibility.

The next version of SSVM will remove Orcana preds, due to the Orcana owner requesting the removal of Orcana assets from SSVM. But until that version comes out, SSVM is incompatible with the latest version of the Orcana race.

...That being said, you can sort of get a compatible version at the moment... go to the Github page, go to the code, and...

Unfortunate, i like orcanas. I guess they will stick to being food for the other inhabitants of my colonies next patch. In any case, thanks for your help!

From what I hear the creator of the Orcanas were INFURIATED Their race was used with this fetish-based mod.

I assume Sheights has either been too busy to work on the mod, or the vore enabled enemies and critters require far more work to make than was anticipated, if they haven't proven entirely impossible. Also, much of the content in the mod is from quest authors, few items even from me, and if like me people haven't sent him new stuff to add to the mod, there isn't a lot of material for a new update.

Honestly, I should finish the piece I've had sitting unfinished on my computer for almost an year and a half...
