glad you enjoyed. always good to have a fan and know my work hasn't been wasted.

1. dangit, i will look into this.. the way the text window splits things to put them on lines sometimes mucks up.
2. back in the day two things were true, npcs who were seduced disappeared after a 100 ticks and any npc who had 0 health or 0 resolve (ie was ticking that 100) was removed when the player left a zone. now only one of those things is true. as npcs who are seduced recover after 100 ticks instead of vanishing (you can assume what you will about HOW they recover). but as a result the village shopkeep vanished cause these rules were being applied inconsistently.
3. ....can you sell or buy keys? they're not normal objects...I never checked whether you could sell or buy keys! note to self, check whether the player can buy and sell keys and exposition items!
4. why don't YOU add a storage space to the shuttle? it's on the list of craftable ship components. build a cargo container and stuff your stuff in it.
5. nope, well...there aren't any plans from me. but seen as nomad accepts content contributions much like with the storage space THE POWER IS YOURS!

Glad that you put the time in!

As for the storage I didn't realize you could do that yet, I've only just got to start exploring the different planets. Still yet to meet the Saurians for example, so it's still early days. Might need to go back to the starting planet to gain some levels honestly, my laser pistol and jumpsuit aren't really cutting it anymore.

I also decided to try writing a disposal scene in the format of the existing entries (mainly to muck around honestly), and I would be curious if anyone would like to see more. All I did was add a new option to the "gurgle" end choice of the AV scene with the Ratgirl on alpha minoris II, so it was fairly easy to do. Just place the unzip the attached file and place the "victory" .xml in Nomad/assets/data/conversations/alpha_minoris_II/rat and it should work, just don't forget to make a backup of the original .xml

yeah I have actually checked now, and while that is true..what you can't do is buy them back because of the way item names are stored in shopping lists. that will be fixed in update 21.

There should be a randomly generated cave in the same area as the escape pod that should have the crystals you're looking for.

cave, NW corner of alpha minoris II. caves on alpha minoris IIA do not contain volatile crystals, they're unique to the 2nd level of the caves on alpha minoris II.

So I searched to see if anyone else is having the same problem as me but it doesn't look like it. I keep trying to start up the game but keep getting the same message saying "A Java Exception has occurred." any ideas on how to fix it?

I predict your next post will involve sending me an error.log created by this incident. and then I will scrutinize this log and tell you what the issue is.

I predict your next post will involve sending me an error.log created by this incident. and then I will scrutinize this log and tell you what the issue is.

Is this the error log?

no it isnt, but it's similar...and ooh boy, umm. yeah I'm not entirely sure what has gone wrong. LWJGL issues are NOT my strong suite, I'd propose updating drivers for your graphics card and JRE. But other than that I admit I've got nothing.

I didn't really get an error.log file or anything, and the error.txt file is empty. I just get that "A Java Exception has occurred." message and that's it. So I guess what I showed is my error log somehow, not really sure

bump for update 21. update 21 contains stuff, update 22 will contain things. see changelog for details of the stuff or go in dry.

Update 22 will be the combat overhaul and renovations to the dungeon of zorr. Also might contain more smut content and more research options. But as ever I open up the floor for suggestions as to what else people might like to see in future updates.

Update 21 however is like, the biggest update as far as smut content is concerned. And a gratifying amount of it wasn't actually written by me but by guest contributors, these contributors are HEROES OF NOMAD and are to be praised and respected.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/c3423wwd7i3n1p5/Nomad_alpha_21.zip

please note, it's a new update. it will be somewhat buggy, but you lot know the drill that I don't have a ton of time and energy to dedicate to quality control on top of actually making this stuff so have at it.

You weren't kidding about it being the biggest update in terms of smut, hahaha. Hope to see some more smutty content from these contributors :D
Yes, I am aware of the irony.

okay Rashdolphin, AngelOfHell64.

I've looked at these reports. And. I'm not sure what to tell ya. it LOOKS like what's happening is the shaders aren't being properly initialized, as the call that's failing is to ask for the location of a shader declared variable on the graphics card so it can be fed information. Normally if the shader can't compile due to insufficient openGL support it fails gracefully at that point. But it might be failing after that somehow.

This is a guess and I'm not sure what the actual resolution is at this point.

I can confirm you're right, darkevilme. The spoilered part below is present in both errors, and is a direct indication that java failed to start video drivers. You know, just for reference.

Spoiler: show
Java frames: (J=compiled Java code, j=interpreted, Vv=VM code)
j org.lwjgl.opengl.GL11.nglGetString(I)J+0
j org.lwjgl.opengl.GL11.glGetString(I)Ljava/lang/String;+1

I can start it fine, so the problem is pretty likely user side. Usual yadda: try updating graphics drivers, and possibly java, if all else fails a new gfx card with new enough opengl support is most likely needed.
