My idea for a Pokemon vore game

Postby MirceaKitsune » Tue Jun 07, 2016 4:51 pm

I've recently seen a few threads in this section about Pokemon vore games. Since I was bored, I thought to bring up an idea I had myself! This doesn't seem to have been considered as much yet, though I for one think it should be :)

So I checked out a few Poke-vore games so far, like the famous Voremon. Most are well made and definitely integrate the vore element well! The difference is that, apart from being smaller and simpler (which is the case with most vore RPG's), they also go in their own direction when it comes to the world and gameplay: You typically play as one or more Pokemon going around on their own, meeting and battling other Pokemon characters around the world. The original Pokemon series is however about something else: Playing as a kid who captures, organizes, battles and levels up Pokemon. While the unique ideas are definitely nice, I'd like to see a game that follows the original concept and mechanics of the series!

To the point, the type of Pokemon vore game I've been intrigued of goes like this: You play as a human kid who starts in a little town, gets a starter Pokemon, captures and trains wild Pokemon, visits various towns around the world and battles gym leaders, can store their Pokemon in computers... everything we know from the original RPG games! There would be mainly one element that's different: When a battle ends, the Pokemon of the winning party get to eat those of the losing one... which includes trainers! As one idea, each Pokemon gets to eat the Pokemon it has caused to faint... or if a trainer exists on the losing end, he / she can choose which of the enemy Pokemon gets to have who. Each Pokemon takes a given amount of time to digest others or be digested themselves, which can be calculated in number of tiles walked... Pokemon who ate someone will have a visibly bulgy belly till then. When it finished digesting, a prey Pokemon will boost specific traits on the pred Pokemon, or have various side effects. Specifics are definitely many and arguable, but this would be the base idea to start from.

Frankly, I think this would be one of the best vore games that could exist... granted it can be made into a full feature game of course! The idea would be very fitting: A 2D Pokemon RPG exactly as we know it, with the exception that those who lose are eaten by the Pokemon who win. The player goes around the world battling various trainers, then feeding those trainers and their Pokemon to own Pokemon... every battle means risking your life to the belly of some Pokey :D Story wise, a terminator type scenario would go best with this idea: Humans are helpless against Pokemon on their own, and the only way they can defend themselves is by having friendly Pokemon as their pets... anyone caught by an enemy Pokemon without a friendly Pokemon around to help will end up their meal. I'd give bonus points to a story where the player causes the extinction of the human race by defeating everyone this way :-D

Since the idea implies a full feature game, I doubt it will happen very soon. Even if there have been full feature Pokemon games made by fans, so it's definitely possible! If you want an impressive example, I recommend Pokemon Hentai by Humbird0... which is both a Pokemon game with porn in it, as well as a full playable game close to the same length and complexity as the originals! Another example would be Pokemon - Uncensored Edition... which is literally a full scale recreation of the original Pokemon RPG games done in RPG Maker by one person (I remember it took me about a week to beat). There is a package called Pokemon Essentials which should offer everything one would need and make the task a lot easier. So yeah... thoughts and feedback on this are welcome!

This may sound crazy, but...I recommend trying to create this game in something like RenPy.

"But, it's not a visual novel at all", I hear you say.
Well, sure, but I'd still recommend it. The trich here is that you can use an engine like that to create an interactive, branching game with some very basic stats stuff and some art tossed together very, very quickly.

"But, it's supposed to have full-blown RPG stats and whole worlds to free-roam", I hear you say.
Thing is, it's going to take substantial, detailed game design documents to incorporate all of those mechanics, not to mention time spent on tasks like world-building, NPC combat mechanics, encounter mechanics, character movement/action animations, questing mechanics, and heaps of dialogue. Sure, you can do it, but if you really want a project that you can dive into, try making just the several-ending story of one trainer, scripted out. You can make the game in a fraction of the time and sort out many ideas that could ultimately become your bigger game.

I've always been confused as to why the "trainer" had to be human, and not be able to battle as a last resort (and why humans couldn't learn fighting type moves).

Picking a game engine for this is going to rely on how in depth the details are going to be. I do agree that working as an adaptable team with a fixed leader is going to be more interesting than a solo run.

There IS also figuring out if the prey's type with be what effects the stat boosts, and if the game should fully follow the convoluted mess that is the current Pokemon type system.

Part of why I suggested this is that, there already are a few tools to make the task somewhat easier. I mentioned them in the first post, but to clarify:

1 - Pokemon Essentials is an asset and script package for RPG Maker XP, which contains pretty much all graphics and mechanics needed to make a Pokemon RPG game (less for bulgy bellies in our case). At least so I understand... I don't use RPG maker so I didn't try it myself.

2 - Pokemon Hentai is actually an open-source project! The author created their own engine in Flash, which even features a builtin editor and more. Many already made their own games with it.

So there are a few starter kits available to make this somewhat easier. Of course, it would still need someone doing a lot of work on it even then, but it would be a bit lighter with one such option.

I just thought of a Team Rocket espue team trying to destroy a reforomation technology for the sake of world conquest.

But If you want to make a pokemon game just like the original pokemon game we all know and love, then I suspect breeding will be part of the game, not to mention the same gender ratios as the original game

Pokemon Hentai doesn't seem to be on that site anymore, and it sounds interesting... Anywhere else it may be?
