I've updated the game to v5.8 of quest, so if you haven't updated it in a while you may need to download a newer version.

I'll be away from home for a few days so unfortunately I won't be able to do any tests until I get home. Let me know if you manage to get it working.

Hello, it's been some time.

Unfortunately due to changes in my life, and generally having other priorities, I haven't been able to work on this at all. However now thanks to the pandemic and the holidays I have been able to find some time to make some updates to this game.

Although all encounters remain unfinished, several encounters now have a 'submit' option for people who prefer prey scenes, and there's one new experimental encounter. There's also a debug area next to the player spawn that will allow you to try all the encounters without having to go through the actual text adventure part.

I've also added a bunch of descriptive text, as well as general quality of life changes and bug fixes.

The source code for the new version has also been uploaded, although you'll need to download Quest from textadventures.co.uk to be able to use it.

Let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions or issues.

Strange, I've tested the download on my end and it functions normally. Is there any more information you can give me?

i go to the text adventure page and click the download button but nothing happens after

I have the same issue with the download. It's like it doesn't register the click. Do you need to be a member in order to download?

I think this is an issue specific to Chrome. I can download the game fine using Firefox, but I get the same issue with the link not working using Chrome, although I'm not sure why. Unfortunately I don't think this is a problem that's in my power to fix.

Also no, you don't need to be logged in to be able to download the game.

If I find a solution that solves the problem I'll let you know, otherwise you'll just have to try a different browser.

I can report that the unstable version is definitely unstable. Digesting animals doesn't raise my max capacity, but that's no problem, because I can eat past the max capacity value anyway. There's a {Direction:South} north of the river which doesn't link properly.

For those having issue downloading by copying the link on the download button then paste and going to the copied link in a new tab lets you download in chrome.
