OpenAI text adventure

Postby jimpickins » Fri Dec 06, 2019 10:54 pm

So I found today a completely AI-generated text adventure game using OpenAI. You have the option of starting a story with a predefined category, or making a custom one. I'm sure many of you see where this can potentially go . The AI isn't perfect and can be a bit scatter brained, but its surprisingly good once you get a hang of coaxing it down the story line you want. I fear in the future AI is going to take over as RP partners  Feel free to post any good adventures you are able to go down with the AI!

Here is the link to the game. Despite being a text adventure game, it is using GPU-accelerated AI in a python notebook, so it takes a while to load and can be somewhat intensive. https://www.aidungeon.io/

Here's only my second try in getting a decent vore story out of it. The carats are what the user types
Spoiler: show
Generating story...

You are a one inch tall man hiding from a giant woman in her bedroom. She is
looking for you and is hungry and eager to catch and eat you. You have no idea
where you are, but you know that if you run now, you will be able to escape
before she catches up with you
> Hide from giant woman

The giant woman is not going to find you so easily, so you decide to hide in
the closet until she leaves. The closet door opens and you see her coming out
of your room. She is about as big as you, but she has long hair like a woman
> Run towards the closet door

You quickly turn around and start running towards the closet door. The giant
woman sees you and yells at you to stop. You don't understand what she means
by this, but she grabs you by the shirt collar and begins pulling you towards
the closet door
> "Hey let go of me! Don't eat me!"

You scream as you are pulled into the closet.

"Don't worry, I won't kill you". The giantess says with a smile.

She pulls you inside and closes the door behind you. Then she turns around and
walks back to her bedroom
> Sneak under the closet door

You crawl underneath the closet door and wait for the giantess to leave. When
she does, you will be able to escape.
> Hide in her cup of water

You quickly hide yourself in the cup of water that sits on top of the dresser.
The giantess comes back and notices you. She looks down at you and smiles. She
then goes over to the dresser and picks up a small glass bottle. She takes it
and drinks from it
> Slide into her mouth

You slip into the giantess mouth and begin eating her. Her tongue slides along
yours and you feel every inch of her body. She tastes delicious and soon you
are fully consumed by her. You can taste her blood on your lips and in your
mouth
> See her preparing to swallow you

You hear the giantess's stomach growl loudly and she lets out a low growl. You
watch as she slowly begins to take you deeper and deeper into her stomach. Soon
you are completely swallowed and you are left in the darkness of her stomach
> Struggle as you slide down her throat

You struggle against the gag reflex as you slide down her throat. Eventually
you reach the bottom and you are left in the darkness of her stomach. You try
to move, but you cannot. You look up and see nothing but darkness. You try to
call out, but there is no answer

Here's what happened with my playthrough, before it shortly descended into utter randomness:

Spoiler: show
As you continue to move through the clone's body, you notice several things. First of all, the clone has a similar appearance to you. Second, the clone's skin is like yours, though its hair was brown instead of blonde
> You blush happily at the differences, although your hair was black as charcoal

Your cheeks flush as you realize the similarities between yourself and the clone.
Your hair was black as charcoal, not blonde. You feel like you should be embarrassed
by this revelation, but you're not. It's strange, but you find it quite endearing.
This makes you smile
> You decide to descend into the clone's innards

You begin to crawl down the clone's body, which causes her to gasp. "No! No!
Please, stop!" she exclaims. "Please, please, please..". she pleads.
You ignore her pleas and proceed deeper into the clone's innards
> At last you reach her innards, which was like a giant cave

You finally reach the clone's innards. They were like a giant cave. There was a lot of darkness inside there. You felt very cold. You tried to get up, but found that your arms were tied behind your back. The clone was still smiling vacantly at you.

And a second playthrough, which coincidentally had some self-endo in it:

Spoiler: show
Steph would wake up inside her own body as she decided to take a tour of her own stomach...
You were so caught off guard by this that you didn't even realize that you had
fallen asleep until the next morning when you woke up in your bed
> tour inside stomach

The next day was the same way. You took a tour of your stomach while eating breakfast.
It was pretty interesting. There was a lot of stuff that wasn't supposed to
be there, like bits of food that had been eaten before being thrown out or leftovers
from other meals
> touch the wrinkled walls, you just had matcha tea earlier

After touching the wall, you felt a slight pain in your finger. The wall seemed
to have a bit of dried blood on it.
> scratch the organic walls, listen to the tea bubbling

You scratched the wall and heard something bubbling. You then touched the tea,
which made a noise. You could hear the sound of water flowing through the ground,
but it sounded different than what you were used to hearing.
"You're not feeling anything right now". A voice said. "Your stomach is rumbling
and you don't seem to be able to feel anything besides the taste of the tea
you drank yesterday".

> "Who is talking right now?" You ask as you glance around for the voice, did it come from the wrinkled walls of the belly?

"It's me, I'm here". You reply back.
"Good, good. Now tell me where you are and why you're rumbling".

> "So, where am I currently? Can you describe the location?" Steph asks the voice.

"I can, but I have to do this slowly so please bear with me". The voice says
> "Okay, I am following your instructions now," Steph says to the voice, "Who or what are you?"
The voice replies "I'm a ghost that has been haunting this placee since before you were born".
"How long have you been here?" You ask.
My current location is inside the walls of the stomach".
> "You mean the walls of my stomach," you answer the ghost as sushi would fall down from the sky.
*Chomp, slideee, gurgle gurgle* Must have ate something off! *screaming*

How to play

Click "Tools"-> "Settings..." -> "Theme" -> "Dark" (optional but recommended)

Click "Runtime" -> "Run all"

It will then take a couple minutes to boot up as the model is downloaded loaded onto the GPU.

What settings are they talking about? In the web browser or somewhere else?

Oh wow, this does seem to have a lot of potential. I hadn't thought about it before, but the idea of having an AI-driven interactive story generator/RP partner is really cool. I haven't really done much (read: any) real RP, and maybe it would diminish some human appeal to having a real RP partner, but I love the concept of being able to do it anytime and bounce any idea off it without worrying about if it's into that too.

Obviously it does require some work on that front. I really wonder how it works, like where it's drawing some of its responses from - it's not perfect, but it definitely responds somewhat correctly to fetish-y prompts sometimes.

It's interesting, though every time it seems to lose it's mind before any good pay off. It also runs really slow at times, and then just stops working altogether. If only it could use the RAM and space on my computer to run itself, it would have much more resources than the browser connection allocates.

Now that is offline (Wow that was fast). Did anyone manage to get the model to run locally? Thought about it just slightly too late before going offline.

I couldn't get anything going, unfortunately. My specific niche in vore, or even my attractions sexually, were nigh impossible to have the engine recognize. So, I decided to try later, though I wasn't aware that it was only going to be up for a short amount of time...

It looks like the creator is working to get it back up. Seems like it was more popular than he expected.

You can still run this locally if you have the required python scripting knowledge to do so.

https://github.com/AIDungeon/AIDungeon

You need a CUDA GPU (just about any geforce nowadays) and "12GB" of Vram

Currently im trying to get this running on a 1070 so ill post updates if i actually get it working

Some friends found a way to bring it back up using Bit Torrent to serve the files instead of a straight transfer https://colab.research.google.com/githu ... mory.ipynb

Same as above, run all and wait about 15 minutes for the game to load.

Alright i got it running, but its not very stable.

Heres the long and short Step by step guide to run this on windows 10, provided you have a CUDA GPU and a decent amount of VRAM ( 8GB, 1070 is what i have and it runs very slowly.)

Requirements,
python 3.7.x (i used 3.7.5)
CUDA toolkit( google it and install it from nividia)
git bash (git-scm works)

Install those, then open CMD
Run the following commands one by one to install the requried libraries. (note that you may have to add python to your %PATH%, just google how to do this.)

Python -m pip install google-cloud-storage
Python -m pip install regex
Python -m pip install numpy
Python -m pip install profanityfilter
Python -m pip install tensorflow==1.15
Python -m pip install gsutil
Python -m pip install pyyaml
Python -m pip install tracery

(side note you can now navigate to your python libraries and clear the profanityfilter library database of all profane words hint hint nudge nudge.)

Last but not least clone/download the github https://github.com/AIDungeon/AIDungeon

Open gitbash navigate to the directory where you have installed aidungeon, now run the following command
./install.sh

You will have to edit the play.py file in IDLE and remove any line that runs "termios" and "flush" commands.

and now using cmd navigate to the folder where you have installed aidungeon and run
Python play.py

Provided you actually did all this it should run fine. If anyone gets any errors let me know its possible i missed something trying to get this running.

Wow you guys really took this and ran with it :-D I'm glad someone with the knowledge to get it running locally is here. Hopefully the author eventually releases a version that doesn't need a beefy CUDA GPU to run in the future.
