This stupid fucking lock puzzle is the worst thing ever.
Nobody wants this shit in a porn game.
It wouldn't work well in Myst because there's no clear indication of how it works. Even after reading everything in this thread, I still don't understand how it's supposed to be solved.
Even the save editor thing doesn't work because the variables are just a null.

I won't debate you on whether or not puzzles belong in a porn game, but here's one last way to solve the puzzle:
1. Open your inventory and navigate to the 'Key Items' on the far right. There should be a book in there that you can open.
2. Go to the Debug menu and max out your stats.
3. Return to the puzzle and click the button with the two arrows at the top (the randomize button). Because your luck is now greater than 35, the combination will randomly land on the correct answer.
The easy mode cheat will be fixed when I return to development so that people who want to skip this puzzle easily can do so.
Edit: And interesting that you should mention Myst, because I've played that game and I'm pretty sure there's an entire Age dedicated to Sound puzzles. Yes, the train segment was probably the worse puzzle in the game because the pacing causes the player to figure out the solution long before the puzzle is finally over, but before that puzzle, there's literally three puzzles where you have to match sounds to each other (just like my lock puzzle), including the piano puzzle in the rocketship.
And I am aware that the puzzle is difficult. The Harpy has a meltdown when you first meet her because she can't open it. That is why I have tried to provided alternative solutions to the puzzle, and the puzzle is not a requirement to advance the main story. I will also try to make the Harpy's hint that you can pay her for a little more clearer to help the player solve the puzzle legitimately.

This game is amazing, and the lock puzzle was not difficult. It is easy to cheese as well if you don't feel like using up your time as well. You keep creating this masterpiece the way you want to.GooInABox wrote:PantsCommander wrote:This stupid fucking lock puzzle is the worst thing ever.

And, feel free to ignore ingrates complaining about a free game. Try constructive criticism, PantsCommander.

Don't lose your motivation because of one or two comments Goo, most people that enjoy your game never say it but all the people that don't are the ones that are more than happy to share that opinion. Let me be one of the few people to say this game is shmackin! I appreciate what you do for us

Yeah, its not that complex to figure out; she tells you how to do it. Now people who don't have a great ear for pitch and tone might not have the bets time, but its not that hard

People nowadays just wanna start hooting, oohking, shrieking and chestbeating like savage primates instead of actually sitting down and trying to solve the puzzles, using the thing in their head called a brain.
Honestly the puzzle was a welcome buffer from all the lewdness that's oftentimes going on. The key is to match the tones~

The puzzle actually reminded me of this one puzzle from the original Black and White video game, the Singing Stones. Though that was more about memorisation of which order to play the stones.

This is THE BEST fetish game I've ever played! Just finished my first playthrough of the chapter and I can't wait for the next update! I love the setting, the characters and the variation of the vore-scenes. It also feels like the choise of eating or not eating someone really matters in a lot of cases. I don't know what more to say other than good job!

Just giving a quick update here, as without people prodding me here anymore due to new site rules I tend to forget to give updates.
The next Amalgamation content update is still a long ways off, and I still have a few side-projects left on my dinner plate before I can move onto the dessert that is Amalgamation (I'll post here when I'm done with the Smutty Lesbian Visual Story). However, I do have two announcements, the first being that I passed my technical certifications and no longer have the studying/tests from that ordeal hovering over my head like the sword of Damocles, which means I now have more free time to clear out these projects.
The second announcement, which I think some of you might appreciate, is that I commissioned kanilan to help out with getting new belly models, and I have to say they have exceeded my expectations.
Not only are they big and seamlessly attached to the body, but they also have sliders which allow for animated growth. If you have Honey Select 1 (not 2, sorry), you can try them out here (please make sure to read the read-me as the non-static bellies will require some technical knowledge and specific utility mods to use): https://mega.nz/folder/6wdxSIxZ#sqaSh3l2XZZ_ZvbRLg-4GA. These bellies will be replacing all of the old ones in most cases, so look forward to higher-quality models once I get back to the grindstone.

Glad to see your back. As i have been lurking seeing a few games go an become abandoned glad to see you will continue this one i quite like it (the weight gaine stuff i like a lot tbh) tho i have also considered making my own vore themed rpg. Issue id face is what way should i make character sprites/images.
You use Honey select (I have no idea where to get it or if it costs money) ive considered using kiskae. or something similar. You have any suggestions? as it stands my friends who do art would for sure not be in to helping me make a smut game so a suggestion for some asset creation for RPG maker could be helpeful. I can do tile sets though i use asprite for tiles an low pixel textures for games that i mod that are not smut related.

Kisekae is a possibility, and most main products from Illusion (the company) such as Honey Select 1/2 and Koikatsu (and maybe even AI Girl if it has an animation studio feature) could be used for character art as they allow for flexible custom character generation and the relatively easy posing/animation of those characters (unlike Source Film Maker which has a limited and recycled pool of character models, and DAZ which is anything but easy to use from a new user perspective). A couple of these are on Steam, but they're the Western release versions and usually have a few features (such as the actual animation studio) snipped out, so in most cases you're going to want to find an unofficial community version (i.e. Yar Har Fiddle Di Dee) that is actually usable for your purposes. I myself am biased towards Honey Select 1 as I've known the software long enough to figure out how to get the most out of it in the long run and have the resources to mod in custom content to the point where I'm actually using it as a semi-professional Unity animation studio.
As for pixel sprites to be used in RPG Maker, the best I can offer right now is this character sprite art here which can be used for vorish purposes.

The future update sounds great, thanks for continuing to work on this GooinABox. The original 3D images were pretty good, but these new ones sound like they will be much better.

played the game, love the options here, including the option to pay that farmgirl 30,000 gold xD. Down the road or towards the end of development, I can predict the amalgamation may develop curves from her meals/food. From what I can see, this game has lots of promise and potential , keep up the good work dev! If necessary, take your time, for quality stuff is hard to find, especially for an original concept.

I think I found two bugs.
The first would be how there is a timer when cleaning up broken bottles in the bar. If you speed the game up by holding the enter key or holding down lmb, the timer also speeds up. Would this be a problem if you were to make quick-time events in the future?
The second would be the harpy in the woods. If you continue to interact with the blue empty chest and complete the event, the harpy dialogue will repeat and give you more soul points.

The first one took me by surprise, I had no idea that holding down the interaction key would speed up 'cutscene' events, so-to-speak. I'll leave this one in for the time being, but I may have to figure out how to temporarily disable it in the future if an event requires precise audio and visual syncing, because as far as I can tell while the visuals speed up the audio does not. Potential quick-time events might also be negatively affected by this speedup feature.
For the harpy chest I can't seem to reproduce that bug, so either I've already fixed that bug and it hasn't made its way into the public version yet, or I'm missing something in the order of events. I'll keep an eye on it just in case.

Played through the game (twice) in v8 and before i download beta v9 theres still one NPC i haven't eating in my "eat everything" run. In the "Deep in thought" place it's the one to the right of the blacksmith and left of the newly-wed elf, right under Astrid. Really really excited for chapter 2 btw, can't wait to discover all the pred scenes

So your missing NPC is Redrina, the other half of the newly-wed elf couple. I'm guessing you had her wife Marya eat her, and then you ate the brown-haired elf. Unfortunately for the Amalgamation to assimilate a soul, they have to be the one to do the digesting; there was nothing left of Redrina's soul to collect after her wife completely absorbed her. If you want both souls, you're going to have to eat both members of the happy couple at the same time.
Oh, and here's a general update for all of you. I'm still working on Smut Lesbian Vore Game which is the new title for the Smutty Lesbian Visual Novel project here: viewtopic.php?f=79&t=61003&start=100#p2928717. Progress is being made on that front, and once I clear my backlog of community projects I can then return my focus on Amalgamation. Hang in there, everyone.
