Shrink Island still floats & is under new management. Bedwomb has formally retired so with respect I have spoken with him and volunteered to take up the Torch of development. Bedwomb has passed control of his Shrink Island Discord to me (Overmind42) and I have begun efforts to jumpstart the development of Shrink Island.

Summary:
"Far out at sea rests a private island, Far removed from prying eyes where tribal legends have long faded into antiquity as no one is left to remember them. It's an ancient place with mysteries that no modern science can hope to understand.

The Damsel Family would settle on this island during the age of sail and for generations tirelessly work to transform it into a paradise fit for raising a family. The latest generation to lead the Damsel Family is Charlie Damsel. Using her family's wealth she's earned herself a reputation as a world-renown philanthropist. Though don't mistake her goodwill as naive, she's a cunning business mogul who has both eyes open to innovation.

Today the island thrives as the Global Headquarters of the Damsel Family. The Family Estate has long since been expanded into a full-fledged settlement that calls home all those who are confederated with the Damsel Family.

You, the player are a Mainlander who has answered an online ad about some new clinical trial that pays big money for volunteers. The catch: You have to spend a few days on Damsel Island under the care of a young and upcoming scientist named Dr. Willow.

I, Overmind42, did not originally intend to try my hand at game development. But Shrink Island was an interesting enough experience when compared to other games of this genre (Shrink Fun, Shrink Exp, Tiny Misadventures, Shrunken Life, so on, etc) that I did not want to see it fade into antiquity.

I owe this emotional attachment to Bedwomb who for several nights indulged my DM's in Discord as I inquired about the lore, Map, and character. I was inspired to write some short fan-fics about the island, He Appreciated and approved of my early rough drafts but unfortunately; he retired before they were completed.

I'll ask for everyone's patience as I develop this game because this is my first foray and I wish to do justice to Bedwombs' vision of Shrink Island.

Bedwomb my friend, You will be missed. I hope that you return to Shrink Island development one day, or even as a fellow Lurker in Macrophilia.

  • Secure a new public Download for Shrink Island [V0.0.4].
  • Updates will be posted on Aryion.com (Eka's Portal). News/Updates will be prioritized first on Discord before it's posted on Eka's Portal.
  • Initially release 4 Short Storys set in Shrink Island that will be available in Discord. These stories will tease or introduce new characters and areas on the island. These will also help serve as fluff content for the dead periods between game updates.
  • Get comfortable in RPG Maker MV with what Bedwomb did under the hood of Shrink Island. I have experience with map-making but for anything else, I'm still a novice.
  • Pick up Koikatsu so that I can produce Character Art for the game.
  • Learn Blender.
  • Learn how Day/Night cycles work in RPG Maker MV (will probably reverse engineer whatever stuff Bedwomb already has set up).
  • Figure out how to make Character Relationship systems work in RPG Maker MV.
  • Learn Plugins. Some of these might make development easier.

My short-term goal teases some new Character Art around New Year or the 1st quarter of 2023. The long-term goal is to have v0.0.5 out by Q3 or Q4 of 2023. These projections are best-case optimistic projections and are not in any way/shape or form guaranteed.

  • Increasing Strength now takes 40% fewer actions per point.

  • Fixed a couple of small typos and minor visual irregularities.
  • Girls’ AI will no longer repeat the last action they took once you’re deep enough when they use the intention Womb’s Call I, sometimes resulting in error messages. Where they would repeat their last action (such as constantly trying to put on clothes), girls will now instead calm themselves.
  • Fixed a bug where the game soft locks when you complete the tutorial, get recaptured by Allison and then escape by any means.
  • Fixed a bug in Allison’s nighttime scenes that were resting for 6 hours and didn’t work properly.
  • Fixed a bug where you would no longer be able to attempt an escape from Allison at night if you clicked sleep or wait and then went back.
  • Fixed a bug where ending Allison’s nighttime encounter without waking her would cause the game to think she was still “sleepy” until the next encounter that she was woken.

To be clear to any who are curious... This post is not a new game update, it's still v0.0.4 I just wanted to get a new download link available to the public sphere and share the news that though Bedwomb has retired, Development on the game will still continue.

IMO it's probably not going to be like a full on foot-encounter with feet squishing/grabbing the player... What I'm imagining is more like a POV example: a near-miss Foot crush as the Giantess walks past. or hiding around a chair leg as the Giantess walks around.

Personally I hope to avoid any form of futa content, but I do hope that the scientist becomes more fleshed-out soon. As-is the only interactions are in the tutorial.

I'm assuming you mean having a stat show why the player action failed & why it seems like random when the player-character passed out from fatigue?

The information being provided in this WIP Picture was also reflective of Bedwombs side project "DEVS" (Briefest of summaries: "DEVS" was intended to replace the current system used by Shrink Island completely, streamlining the process of coding for future updates.) which as I stated above OP is being scrapped because don't have the ability to continue the "DEVS" project. Even this teased UI will be completely rebuilt from scratch because Bedwomb was unable to share his unfinished assets with me before retiring.

As far as the re-sealing of the cervix is concerned; Allison (or any Giantess for that matter) should be able to re-open the Cervix on a whim because it's their body, home-turf advantage, That much I don't think I'll be changing. The sealing of the Cervix is intended to be an obstacle for the Player to deal with. Some girls will try to have fun with the Player before the Player has a chance to sleep. This will also remain true for later updates when the Player is trying to sneak into the girl. At most I'll maybe add a warning scene telling the player that the Giantess has re-opened the previously closed Cervix.

TLDR: Yes, I want to stay true to what Bedwomb wanted to do with the UI (adding more context information for the Player about what's happening during the Tug-of-War) & Cervix needs some polish but otherwise "No" the Cervix sealing mechanic is indeed working as intended.

Futa is not my cup of tea, but it's on the table for discussion in the Discord. If I can pull it off, then sure I'll add a single Futa, but I'm still pretty green when it comes to game development so we'll see.

I've been a Lurk up until now, Shrink island is one game I am over the moon to play more of, I really hope development of updates goes well! Also, thank you for picking up such a task like this without prior experience, I am happy to see this game keep its head above water.

My thoughts...

For other users:
  • I recommend using the computer in the office (door next to the lab) to set your strength to 36, your charisma to 14, and Allison's max depth to 300. That's just a good baseline stat setup for version 0.0.4. Also, turn on Speed mode from the computer (allows you to repeat a move just by holding down the esc key)
  • Allison actually has quite a bit of dialogue if you play around in her long enough.
  • On Allison's day off, she'll try to end the day with a masturbation scene (no art, just dialogue). Making her happy requires upwards of 75 rounds. Her stamina is endless (I tried making her cum 6 times across ~180 rounds), so it's literally just a question of you reaching a stamina regen of -5 while deep enough that her cervix has you sealed shut in her womb. In my opinion, just make her cum a couple times and then succumb (unless you want to use speed mode to go AFK while your stamina runs down). Also, she never stops masturbating, so her fingers blocking the entrance ensures there's no escape chance (I chuckled at how she says she wishes we could see the scenery and then proceeds to masturbate until we pass out so that we never get a chance)
  • For your curiosity, escaping anywhere not the lab just gets you warped back to the lab (though it also unlocks the doctor's lab door if you wanted to replay the tutorial).
Also, here's my notes on gameplay (you can figure all this out in the tutorial, but I like to have it written down for reference)

- Increasses friendliness / lustfulness at the cost of being unable to hoist
- Costs no stamina
Breach Cervix
- Allison's cervix goes from 90-75% depth and her underwear is at 30%. You can't cross those thresholds without breaching, but you can breach early.
- You can breach her cervix (escaping) as early as at 94% and you can't cross 90% until you do.
- You can breach her cervix (entering) as early as at 72% and you can't cross 75% until you do.
- You can breach her underwear as early as at 34% and you can't cross 30% until you do.
Brace
- Some girls will telegraph that they're about to pull you (like using one hand to spread her lips).
- Bracing at the edge of her underwear can make her remove a layer
Pleasure
- Most effective at 50% depth
Orgasm
- Lasts several rounds
- Will eject you by 40-70 per round that you pleasure (depends on your current intent)
- Boost to lustfulness.
- Decreases her stamina
Sleep
- Restores stamina.
- Can be done during the day if in safer areas like the lab
- You can be captured if a girl comes across you.


For the dev:
  • I love both the mechanics and the dialogue. That's all that's really there given it's only v0.0.4, but I'd say this demo does them best of these games.
  • At the end of Allison's day off, I recommend giving the "thanks for sticking it out with me" line after she cums three times. Add in some kind of dialogue to show the player can now end the scene with full rewards or maybe even just have it automatically end there with her having gotten tired. Just something to prevent my situation of having it last 180 rounds because I had to go from +15 regen all the way down to -10 regen just to get the scene to end naturally. It's kinda punishing they player for leveling up when it turns monotonous because you saw everything there was to see 10 minutes ago and the scene is still going.
  • Oh, and succumbing to a girl whose intent is "womb call" should probably get the same dialogue/response as using "tuck arms"
  • I'm not even sure if this is possible, but any chance you could move the pop up messages to under the stat block or something? They currently cover ~1/6 of the girl. Though, I think all the games cover the girl like that. Also, any chance you could make a 'reduced dialogue' mode for speed playing? Training stats was just 20 minutes a round of spamming moves, which could be shortened if there were fewer popups between each move. I understand if neither of these are possible in the game engine (or if that just doesn't fit your image of the game), but I figured it was worth asking at least once.

ideas for Shrink Island Official

here are just 2 ideas
if this game will ever get an update, i would like to see one or two futas in the game for cv and this have a good reason, u could add a sex scene between a female character and a futa character
also i would like to see soft vore content like: one female character put an end of a small rope/string on the mc and the other end on one of her tooth and after she will gulp the mc down with or without playing (why the thing with the rope/string? to pull the mc back up)


these're things i would like to see in the game, these're just ideas if the game will comes up back again

I was really happy to find the link to this page after knowing that the project was discontinued. This game really has a lot of potential.

The mechanics used for UB are some of the bests I've seen in similar games. UB, along with CV, are things I really like, and there are very few games that focus on these two aspects. So, I hope you succeed.

In terms of things, I'd like to see in the game, I think the UB mechanic works very well but has very few problems (at all its best). I'd just like to see more characters in the game. Also, something that similar games have always lacked is that most of the time the characters act like they've just seen the main character, which is annoying. However, this game does a good job of avoiding that. Another thing I'd like to see is a short story for each character, similar to what was done for the character Allison. I was really happy to see that implemented.

One thing I would really like to see added to this genre of games is the ability for the tiny to ask other characters to let him go inside when he gets close to them, even when they are awake. Not to attack them and always act like they have captured the tiny, when maybe the tiny wants to go inside himself (I think this feature could be added when the main character has already established a good relationship with the other characters and they like him). Dialogues could be added for this, or there could be a mode where the female character doesn't struggle much and says, "Now that you're here, go inside yourself, but getting out is not on you! :))"

I noticed in the game that the wetness sometimes gets so high that it becomes virtually impossible to move. Even though the character brings the pleasure down, the wetness still goes up, and then suddenly it goes from 500 to 150, which I think could be a bug.

The Breach mechanic was really interesting and I really liked it. In this genre of games, both when going outside and inside, I've always wondered why the female character opens the way herself when she doesn't want the tiny to come out? (Both ways, cervix and underwear)

Finally, I want to say that I really don't know much about game development, so if I asked for something that is really impossible, please ignore that request altogether. I just wanted to make a suggestion. :))
