There have been a fair few ups and downs in the thread. The art was interesting, so it's a shame.
The OP might need some time away, might need to practice stories, or maybe this is the is actually for the best. Either way it's a shame that OP is feeling as they are.

The pictures and updates for the story is really great, Kernac does not have to be sad, depressed, or other emotions that makes the life worse for said person, being happy and normal is better than this, hopefully he/she will get back to normal some day and this resume again if it comes back.

Hey everyone.
I've decided to come back. Was taking some time off for my own mental health. I wanted to thank everyone who posted supportive messages while I was gone. Honestly, it was just a lot of stuff piling up on me and caused a mental breakdown. I'd explain further, but that was just such a while ago that I don't fully remember what my thought process even was.
I still wish to continue work on my vore RPG and I'd like to set myself a timeline for when it'll be released. I'd like to have a playable version before the month of may, which is when my birthday is. I will try to reply to every messages I received individually, but for now I thought I'd post this.
I know my mental stability isn't always the greatest, I have moments when I'm very calm and balanced, and others when my emotions just get very volatile. I think I might be bipolar but I don't have an official diagnosis. Trying to get professional help. Thank you for being patient with me, it means the world to me, however let's not dwelve on it too much either, from now on I want this thread to be dedicated to the game only and I will leave my emotional turmoils in my personal blogs.
If you want to talk or just leave a message of encouragement, please do so as a private message (pm) or as a shout on my userpage. From now on I'm gonna try to keep this thread focused and free from random drama and emotional woes.
Thanks again and I'm gonna try to post more updates soon^^

Alright, time to start getting hyped back up for this!
I really need to just post things without rewriting them dozens of times.

Welcome back Kernac-san! Still, don't push yourself too hard. Take your time to get back into the swing of things. I don't want to sound arrogant or anything, but I think I can speak for all members of this topic when I say that you have the moral support of all of us.

★ ☆ ★ Small Updates ★ ☆ ★After finding myself lacking the motivation or inspiration to work on the game for a solid week after coming back, I had a realization today which gave me back motivation to start working on this project again, worked on it a fair bit today so I thought I'd update y'all.
-Small boss fight preview with characters that had more work put into them:So what I realized was (with the help of friends giving me very good advices) is I've been making this harder on myself then it needs to be. Being a lifelong RPG fan, I wanted to make a combat system that was engaging and dynamic and kinda addictive... I was so obsessed with this that I kinda forgot this is a fetish game... And the gameplay is ultimately secondary to the vore/kinky stuff. Here I was trying to implement 12 different classes with each unique abilities... And that would have been fun and all, but its too much, its too much for me to handle without getting disheartened at the mastodontic amount of work it would entail.
-Basic premise and core concept of the game:So, keeping some of the old ideas but reworking them into someting more manageable: The story is now that you've been Isekai'd into the vorish world of Ceres. The world is a old school fantasy JRPG made reality: Levels, XP and RPG mechanics are made manifest within this retro-gaming magical realm. In order to get back to your world you must defeat the dragon Queen (Ceres) but be careful, you only have a limited amount of lives~!
In order to encourage people to continue after losing a life, and not just reload the same save right before the boss to go get eaten... Basically, the fewer lives you got, the longer the digestion process will be when you get eaten and the more varied and descriptive the vore will be. As you lose lives, your spirit becomes more and more entuned with the energies of this world, making your body more resilience (thus longer digestion) and allowing you to retain greater awareness whilst your body is damaged or under pressure (hence more descriptive vore scenes)
Also might work toward a playable demo first before going for the straight full release as part of my effort to keep the work manageable.
Thanks for tuning in^^

Don't try and go for the most ambitious/complex implementation. If you felt like the workload is too daunting/overloading, you should try going for something simple. I don't mind having it only 4 different classes at its current state of the game. You don't always have to take my suggestion, it is entirely up to you.
And please, don't rush yourself. Making games does take longer than you expected, with time and patience. ❤

4 or 5 classes is all a vore system needs to start with.
And when you are ready to do so, make one more class at a time, until you have the full 12 classes.
And maybe have those classes be something you unlock as you go on the journey.
You start with 4 classes at the start, but as you go on and get used to it, you can get other classes to join you.
That way players won't have the whole, "Oh boy, this one looks good, but so do these other 4. I can't pick" problem.'
You know what these 4 can do, and now you can try another one, and see how it feels.

Ah, so you decided how to do reformation? That's cool. Losing all your lives sounds like it can lead to more possibilities than just endlessly coming back. And yeah, starting off a little simple with the game mechanics isn't a bad thing. You can always change or tune it up to your liking down the line.
When it comes to most bosses, thank god for obvious, glowing weak spots.

I can relate to this. I was making mods for Vore Days and said I'd make a maze mod. That didn't pan out. A week spent building half a maze and realizing that it would be a mediocre experience because I'd only have then energy to make one maze. I still have the code, but I doubt I'll ever finish it, so I made a post saying it was canceled. It was the right decision, as it lingering over my head was a major creative block.

✪ ✤ ✪ ✤ Lili Update ✤ ✪ ✤ ✪So I decided to focus on making a small playable demo for now. Something short, simple, but still very enjoyable. A small dungeon with a Pred Boss at the end, but still with good descriptions, images and sounds for the vore bits^^ Featuring Lili, my dragoness succubus hybrid character^^
-Lili the dragon-succubus: Making this demo shouldn't be that long and just generally be less stressful for me.

Ooooh! Cute and sexy! Lovely! And that's fine. Forget about the pressure put on by others. If you feel more comfortable working on launching a demo and then improving it little by little, then that's fine. After all, YOU are the author, not the others! So feel free to go at your own peace and to hell with what neigh-saiyers think!

That is the best approach because that way you get better feedback from the game mechanics.

That is indeed a good point. After all, it's better to make the necessary tweaks along the way than "finishing" a product, only to find it has flaws and needing to go all over it trying to find and fixing them.
