RPG PRED Update: 9/27/2023

Hello everyone! I made a forum post about 2 years ago about a game I was making that ended up being cancelled. Linked here--> viewtopic.php?f=79&t=59901

Well I'm here to announce that I'm going to be resuming the project. I haven't made any progress since then but I still have the old build. I'm currently planning on updating some sprites in the current build and resuming from there.
There's really not much to say that hasn't been said in my previous post. I'll just copy and paste what I said there since this forum will be a fresh start. As a disclaimer I don't know how often I'll be posting updates but I will release stuff when it is ready.

Story Background
Welcome to the Country of Xillian. Vore is illegal and can get you sentenced for life if caught in the act. However, it is nearly impossible for the police to trace “remains” of former citizens. Thousands of “Preds” roam the streets, some of them may be your coworkers, or even your friends. Who knows? Everyone has a fake face on in public. However, behind close doors, anything can happen.

You play as Mid 30’s Male Wolf named Beau and a Early 20's Female Arctic Fox named Freya. Both of which live pretty normal lives. But behind closed doors... let's just say things can get spicy real quick.

I currently don't have a public release at the moment. I did have an old download link but I took it down. Sorry for the confusion.

Ooooh very very excited for this, looks great! Shame I never noticed the old version, would've loved to check it out but excited to try it. Honestly I'm sorta with bright on the last bit. Obv utterly up to you, but if you don't wanna stress yourself out with having every single npc have full art that's totally fine. Honestly having background npcs stand out compared to ones with content works well a lotta the time, but full art does add a ton of immersion. Not saying like, one's better or backseating or something, just wanted to point that out. Really excited to see more!

Yeah I could spice them up a little bit and use them as a generic background NPC. I'll look into it.

There will be some willing. There will be some in-game "psychos" who wanna get eaten lol. But it'll be mostly unwilling.

Games where you can actually be pred are rare, games where you're *expected* to be a pred are even rarer. This definitely piques my interest!

I feel the same way about human stuff in Vore. I prefer non-humans personally. Also, you could look into how Carniverousvixen did the background npc's in her game. They did alot of that same "white sprite" character sprite that was mentioned before.

And here's Freya! I'm Definitely getting back into the groove again. I'm gonna clean both Beau and Freya up and make their sprites. I'll post them in my gallery. Really happy with this one.
