What does baldurs gate 3's modding support look like? Do we think it'd be a good fit for a vore mod?

Given how many QoL mods were available at launch, adding 5e Races and spells from books outside of the PHB, I'd say mod support is pretty healthy.

I know a vore mod would give a nice twist to my Dark Urge playthrough

I'm wondering if/when people will crack into the animation and cutscenes engine. Could be incredible to bang Minthara and then eat her.

Maybe allow the PC the option to seduce and/or hypno prey into compliance as well just so it's not all non-con. I know I'd go on a nom spree without shame~

Be aware. The development team has also spoken about the idea of throwing in additional mod support from their end. It might be better to wait for a short while to see how the words disappear in the wind, or take solid form. Even now mod designers are exploding in the scene for the game and showing a lot of good care in their creations. The game has a lot of players, so additional mod support could be enough to also give the game a good lifespan and further replaying benefit. This same studio has a fondness for adapting mods to actually add directly into the game as well. Divinity Original Sin I believe was one of theirs and many updates came thanks to that mod community.

The chances of them going with heavier mod support in the near or mid future is very high and already has solid ground to stand on. I hope this helps.

Larian's Divinity OS games have a dedicated workshop plus mod manager ingame on the main menu, so it's only a matter of time until BG3 gets that too. NSFW mods could even work on the workshop since games like Conan Exiles have straight up sex mods on there with full animations and stuff.

Larian Studio's CEO has already confirmed that Modding Tools are on their way.
Their Divinity games (which are very similar to Baldur's Gate) had an incredibly powerful but still user-friendly modding tool which was effectively their in-house dev tool IIRC.

I would also bet that we will get the tools sooner rather than later, since like I said they likely use something close to the modding tool we'll get themselves.

On that note, I think we shouldn't be posting fetish mods on the workshop even if it's allowed. Just keep that stuff out of the eye of normies as much as possible.

Looks possible.
I'm seeing script extenders and frameworks created by the community, and a tutorial for getting custom meshes into the game. Also seeing stuff like bigger boobs and the usual stuff, so that means we got access to the body.

The main problem I see is that body morphs don't really exist, bodies are changed by completely replacing the model. So it would have to be belly or no belly unless you want a ridiculously big mod, with separate items for every piece of clothing with a belly.

With that said, it might be possible to use the system that exists for genitals to create bellies, if someone could figure that out. That might be the easier option honestly.

Baldur's Gate 3 mod support is still in development and specific details are not yet available. Whether or not it is suitable for vore mods will depend on the game's capabilities and the tastes and preferences of the modding community once support is fully implemented. :-D

Even if there is no morphing you could always make use of the shrink and enlarge spell.
