Being a skitty has a pain moment and it’s with ghost types all moves are type overridden with the perk normalization if it’s dragon it will be normal this found out I may have just made my play through all the more harder

I’m sure we can understand on the difficulty of working on any mod. They're always challenges in their own right. Plus, real life should take priority. Take care of yourself, and best of luck in things!

TL;DR: Project is going on hiatus.
Basically, I’m not a coder. I’ve done one university-level programming course in my life, and that’s about my experience in the field. Adding new moves and debugging is a time-consuming process for me. One I’ve found I enjoy, but time consuming nonetheless. Recently I’ve found myself much, much busier. I just don’t have the time to dedicate to this project, especially considering that this isn’t something I can do outside of my home. And when I do have the time, it never seems to be enough to make actual progress. Skytemple is a wonderful program, but despite its brilliance all it can do is make an impossible task into a very difficult one. Perhaps not the best choice for a newbie.
So, I’ve decided to put this project on hiatus for a bit. I’m not abandoning it, but I won’t be updating for a long while. I need to actually learn to program, and I need to wait until I can devote sufficient time to this. I plan on doing some tutorials and building my own (simple) game in the meantime, which should hopefully give me a bit of a better foundation. I don't want to leave people hanging, but I just can't seem to find the time right now.
But I will be back eventually to complete my plans. In the meantime, I have added a SFW version of the mod for those who are interested.

Introduction:
This is a simple ROM hack for the game Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. It adds a bunch of new moves and some more sprites. Every new move has been added to the level-up moves for the starter Pokemon and are rarely available from the Keckleon shop in town. Additionally, the rate at which the player’s belly drains from walking in dungeons has been increased to compensate for the new moves. Both the player, the partner and enemies can use vore moves, but only a few enemies currently have them. Additionally, a new dungeon named "Uh oh" is available. It is a buggy mess, and crashes like a third of the time. DO NOT SAVE AFTER COMPLETING IT. LOAD THE SAVE FROM BEFORE YOU ATTEMPTED IT.
My intention with this mod is to make a (hopefully) balanced playthrough possible with the vore moves. I tried to make them relatively fair and somewhat in-line with what is already available within the game. That being said, I also wanted to make them impactful and unique enough that you would choose them over pre-existing moves.
I love playing other people’s vore mods and wanted to make one of my own. Unfortunately, I have exactly zero modding experience and very little actual coding experience, so please be patient as I learn!

I would add these to the OP. They are the hashes for a clean copy of the North American version of EoS. The patch will not work unless the hashes match.

Every time I try to create the patch I get an error message basically telling me to check source file. source file boots up normally in emulator. what am i doing wrong? could someone please help

For all who don’t have the files for the game or are having the same problems pm me for location for version needed ps once learned keep it a hush hush do not spread the information around pm a dm on me if you want to know where the site is (trust me I know where it is)

Decided to actually give Skytemple a try to add in my own set of starters, (Buizel and Poochyena) and give them some of the vore moves. Even added in Thievul to replace Wigglytuff, but wow, it turned out to be wonky, and current plan is to figure out how to alter dialogue.

It won't let me paych, saying that there's a Strange error, saying it can't find the file, I've tried doing everything I can think of. I checked the game and the file, and set a proper location. But no option works.

I know, not the update people would probably be waiting for, but wanted to try my hand a bit at spriting for the micros. I'm aware GIMP was recommended, but couldn't for the life of me figure out how to make proper pixel art. So had to shift over to Paint.NET. Used the bottle sprite made by Omb74 plus added in the previous bottled micro attempt. Difficult, but I think I got it. Whenever work continues, maybe see how it looks?

I found an issue, I tried to fight Hypno (first actual boss), it used Mind Vore to take out my partner in one hit, then used it on me the next turn, and now I just don't have a partner in dungeons anymore.

It’s an intentional thing, apparently. Seems like a patch to let you continue even if your partner faints. The fix is when you’re back in town/guild, press the left shoulder button. HOWEVER, do this when you have no other team members with you. Talk to Chimecho to remove them, otherwise they’ll basically get deleted from your team.

Always liked the idea of a PMD vore mod but understandably the amount of work needed has kept me from asking
Now that it exists (fine as it is) I wonder where it'll go from here. More sprites? More vore types? Miscellaneous vore-related status moves? Items? Held items?
A mix of all of the above?
here's the obligatory "Is endo planned at any distant point in the future" comment because if I don't ask then someone else will

What other vore types are there? Theres quite a selection already, a couple I personally didn’t consider.
Also, I imagine endo wouldn’t be possible due to the game’s mechanics. Might be relegated to flavor text (pun not intended but fitting). Or one could imagine an endo scenario should an outlaw be defeated with a vore move.
Unless major scene edits are planned for endo scenarios.

I’ve been hoping for an update as well, but it’s understandable why there hasn’t been one as written in the original post. I’ve occasionally tried my own hand at rom editing, with very mixed results. Tried adding in a Gen 8 line, then tried changing some of the dialogue, it’s a bumpy road.

I am working on it a bit, albeit very, very slowly. Unfortunately life has only gotten more busy, and I realized that I'll have to re-do a lot of stuff to fix some early errors. So I wouldn't hold out for much anytime soon.
