Caustic Cove: SS13 Fantasy, with Vore

The sun hung low on the horizon, casting a murky orange hue over the tangled wilderness known as Caustic Cove. Mist swirled above the ground, curling around gnarled roots and half-submerged stones, creating an otherworldly shroud that whispered secrets of the swamp. A lone figure stepped cautiously into the thick, humid air, their silhouette barely breaking the gloom. Clad in a weathered cloak and carrying a weathered satchel, the adventurer's sharp eyes scanned the shadowy expanse, alert to every rustle and croak echoing through the decaying trees. As the first tendrils of darkness began to creep in, the adventurer tightened their grip on the hilt of a weathered dagger, the faint glimmer of its blade barely cutting through the gloom. With resolve steeling their heart, they plunged deeper into the heart of the swamp, ready to face whatever mysteries lay ahead.

Caustic Cove is a new server on the block for the obscure game known as Space Station 13!

Now, one my ask, we already have plenty of science fiction servers! What's different about this one? Well, for starters, it is based on a fantasy codebase. Finally, you can step into the shoes of a humble barkeep, cleaning up after disgruntled adventurers. Or perhaps you'd like to roleplay as the Monarch, making wise or not decisions. There's roles for virtually every character! Now, onto the good stuff. Our development team has finally ported vore over! Come on over!

If you can code, or contribute with art, we'd love to have you in the server! Most of all, if you'd like to join just to play a game or two, we'll welcome you too!

Now, our server has some MUSTS, in order for everyone to have an enjoyable experience. For one, we verify age of all new members, which is the most important part. And the last part, while we ARE a low admin intervention policy server, respecting prefs is extremely important.

Yeah, we have those sprites simply because they fit in the best at the moment. However little by little, we'll replace those sprites with our own!

Quite a few months ago a WHOLE bunch of Roguetown offshoot servers cropped up like Ratwood Keep. Seeing Lifeweb sprites mixed in with furry stuff was an even bigger whiplash. That said I was wondering how long it'd take to see a vore one appear as well.

The amount of Roguetown splinters coming out after Ratwood's success is really funny to me, it's like the new FO13.

Persistence was a joke in regular SS13, it'd be even more of a joke in a Roguetown offshoot. If OP is reading this, please don't waste your time considering any sort of 'Persistence' mechanics.

If you get some serious coders on-board, consider migrating to SS14. Doubt there's any vore codebases on SS14 yet, so you'd have to be coding your own systems from scratch.

Servers don't need antags to be fun, I've played on many rp servers and not a single one of them has been boring, maybe if you're getting bored take a look at what you personally are doing

While we DO have antags, they're admin spawn at the moment. HOWEVER, as we are low admin intervention, you can practically self-antag, as long as your character has a reason to. Be a bandit lurking in the woods! Or a rogue stealing everything not bolted down. Or even an assassin for hire!

If you make the round interesting, who cares? We are striving to avoid the 6 hour bar rp issue that many such servers fall to.

Prefs are VERY VERY important here. You can murder, you can steal, you can pillage, assuming it's all in character. However, pref breaking is OOCly malicious, and we stomp hard on it. In fact, someone joined recently to do it, and we banned them on the spot! We're here to create stories, and have a good time, not deal with those types of people.

We're working on rituals and potions that can reform! However, as we're trying to make it immersive, such potions will be difficult to come by. Value your life! You have one of them!

You have to create a ticket, they check if you are over 18 before letting you in.
