Changes coming for GG v.4
DISCLAIMER 1: You will be required to leave behind your saves from v.33. The use of the Questing UI as well as general clean-up in the game’s early game will necessitate a clean save. DISCLAIMER 2: If you haven’t already heard, some Pokepreds have been revoked by their original spriters. So, please do not ask me why X or Y Pokepred can’t be found anymore.

Rival storyline

Team Rocket storyline
The first quest will occur after the inciting encounter at the end of the Nugget Bridge

Future implementation will allow for a side questline involving interacting with Legendary Pokemon, battling, and potentially capturing or devouring them!
Unreal Time plugin added
Time now moves independently of your system’s clock
The world now operates through 72 minute days
Enhanced UI plugin added
More UI elements to the Summary tabs have been added
The most notable of these are the IV letter grades and an overview of a Pokemon’s IVs and EVs
The ranges for IV letter grades are as follows:
S = 31
A = 30
B = 25-29
C = 16-24
D = 1-15
F = 0
IV Items plugin has been added
These will be available from the Useful Item merchant in the Cerulean City Herbalist’s home alongside EV-raising vitamins
These items will raise a Pokemon’s IV by a single point, until the max of 31
In-game additions:
‘Achievement’ system through custom ribbons (currently only for Legendary prey)
Devouring and digesting certain Legendaries will allow for the Pokepred responsible to gain both the Legendary’s signature move and a ribbon celebrating their digestion
Note: If the Pokepred that devoured the Legendary is devoured, their pred will NOT inherit the ribbon OR signature move
All Pokepreds have shiny sprites! Feel free to shiny hunt for them, if that’s what you prefer
The Old Rod is now given in addition to your first Pokemon as a precautionary measure to make sure there’s no way to trap you after surfing
Many wild Pokemon will now have useless, but valuable held items that serve as the player’s way of potentially farming money. The rarer the Pokemon in the wild, the more valuable the item. You can of course farm these by capturing them, but vore will also allow you to “steal” the items post-digestion.
Patches of grass have been added and will be added to some cities except Pallet Town in the game to allow for additional encounters
Route 3 and Mt. Moon trainers have been made stronger to help level you up on your journey to Cerulean City
Routes 24 and 25 are designated as post-Cerulean Content, which means you are expected to have beaten Misty before continuing down Nugget Bridge
Audino has been made much more accessible in many more places to allow for a somewhat consistent source of EXP
The Cerulean City Herbalist now also sells useful berries in addition to Nature Mints! Plus, a “Useful Item” merchant has moved in as well, allowing players to buy any Evolution or Held item they could possibly need!
Misty’s illegal Azumarill has been slightly nerfed, trading Aqua Ring for Charm instead
The S.S. Anne (and future boss battles) will feature a double-battle boss battle, and will REQUIRE you to bring at least 2 Pokemon to even attempt. Please be careful before venturing on!
A new NPC has been added to the dev room for the purpose of resetting your Pokepred’s form back down to base. This is for any issues that involve your Pokepred being full outside of battle, which should never happen. Keep in mind that this will also result in them losing all of their weight stages
Another new NPC has been added to allow you to play all possible player prey scenes in the dev room. This includes scenes you may not have experienced yet, for the purposes of those who don’t want to have to play the entire game to experience player prey. But non-spoiler labels are provided in case you want to know where they’ll be found in case you just wanted to know. Please be responsible if you don’t want to get spoiled.
The Vermilion Gym will be an additional step-up in difficulty, as it will also feature double battles and double battle focused strategies from its trainers. You will also be unable to challenge Lt. Surge unless you have the minimum of 2 Pokemon to begin a double battle
The backtrack to areas before Cerulean will finally be available by taking Diglett’s Cave back to Route 2
Most pre-evolution preds will now reach a BST equivalent to their evolved forms at their fattest. This is to allow for anyone who prefers a previous evolution form compared to their final form to use their preferred Pokepred
Some routes will feature encounterable, very rare ‘mini-boss’ Pokepreds that will appear in differing stages of weight and at a higher level than the rest of the encounters
An optional (non-canon) sidequest line and boss battle can be pursued after the end of the update. Said side quest will allow you to tweak the difficulty of the boss in exchange for giving up specific Pokemon, as well as give rewards for both advancing the ‘quest’ and defeating the boss.
A transitional route back to the dev room on Route 3 will be available in Celadon City, which will only be available after the end of the update.

Important notice concerning the question around Preds that aren't the final stage evolution (Final words, 3/3/2026):
Spoiler: show
Removing the rest of the previous updates so that this message doesn't get too long and also for the sake of brevity.
Long story short, if you're reading this, know that every single Pokemon and trainer who participate in battle and vore are of age and NOT minors. In-game explanations, dialogue, and lore will also reiterate this. Baby Pokemon (except for Riolu and Pichu who will be sprited differently into anthro, aged-up forms) are NOT in the running to become Pokepreds despite that initial disclaimer, because people have had issues with that. That is all.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: HIATUS ENDED AND RECONSIDERATION (6/2/2026):
Spoiler: show
Hey y'all! I think it's time for a bit of a heart to heart about future updates of this project.
I've actually come to make a few good connections that will definitely help speed the work of Pokepred sprites!
Speaking of speeding work, I've come to reflect on a bunch of decisions I've made concerning the development of this game, and I'm here to make a few announcements regarding them.
The first and most important one is that I will no longer be delaying the game for the purposes of cutscene art. As much as I'd really want to ship this game with the art of the characters in action, I've ultimately come to understand that all that really will do is unnecessarily push the game back and test the limits of my own passion by allowing it to wither over the course of time purely for the sake of a few pictures. I do NOT want this project to fizzle out and crash into a wall.
No, I'm a writer at heart, and I'll create these cutscenes with my writing first, and supply you all with the accompanying art when it's ready, but not to the detriment of this game's development. I understand that the majority of people had voted that they'd rather that the game delay until art is procured, but I don't think anyone actually wants to wait that long. So, I'm going to have to veto that decision, for the sake of this game, and my own.
So, in other words, NO MORE HIATUS! THE NEXT UPDATES WILL COME OUT AS SOON AS THEY'RE DONE (being bug tested)! Any art I finally do manage to source for the purposes of cutscenes will be added to the cutscene viewer that will be added in the future in following updates, and be available if you ever play through that section of the game again.
The second thing... is that I have reconsidered one of the things that I didn't want to add at first! And that something is human pred! I honestly didn't want to consider it at first, because honestly, I AM a furry, so it kinda just defaulted to that. But giving it another round of thought, I only don't really care for other trainers being pred.
Which is why I'm going to be penning down a future mechanic for the player to become a Pred themselves! Now, I'll be honest and say that I don't really see the male MCs in Pokemon as preds, which means it very much might be a female-player only type thing, at least in the beginning! So, hold me to that promise, female MCs will learn how to pred!
That's about all I wanted to announce! I hope y'all understand my decisions and I wish y'all a great day!

State of Rival Pokemon Poll:
More rival Pokemon will be implemented and be encounterable, but Braixen will be designated as your "main" rival.
Gastric Green
What is Gastric Green?
Spoiler: show
Gastric Green is an RPGMaker game that aims to completely recreate the Kanto Region in RPGMXP with the use of the Pokémon Essentials package, with the addition of vore and original lore surrounding its existence.
Currently, I'm the sole coder of the project, and it's more than likely going to stay that way. There are plans for custom sprites, characters, and events as per the original lore I want to introduce into the game, and they will hopefully be provided by some artists who I haven't completely recruited as of yet.
Credit for the vore system goes to Tsunombe and their team, which also has its own page here: viewtopic.php?f=79&t=69645
Just to be completely clear, this is a VERY VERY INCOMPLETE BUILD. If there are any issues present, please report them to me.
Unless it's about when the text says the prey digested the pred when it's the other way around. That's going to get fixed in the upcoming vore system update. I've got no onus on that.
Additionally, I'd like to give credit to the other romhacks I've played that will play a part in the inspiration of the mechanical and gameplay related aspects of Gastric Green. Route 1 currently has the same encounter table as Radical Red's Route 1 (This is now 100% true now that I've managed to implement Pokemon from Generations 6-9, and is true for many of the other encounter tables.)

Now, onto what you'll actually be experiencing in the game:
Spoiler: show
- Pokemon Preds (This means anthros and ferals, along with certain demi-adjacent ones like Pheromosa and Gardevoir)
- Pokemon Prey (duh, the vore happens in battle)
- Human prey (There will be instances of humans being eaten, and if you lose to a Predator Pokemon, you will be eaten by said Predator before reforming at the last Pokemon center you've been in)
- Human pred (if you want it, you can become a predator yourself! This will be implemented in the future.)
- Mostly female preds, but male preds will be available when the time comes
- Digestion (both non-fatal and perma. It's a setting that you can toggle)
- Weight gain
- Multiple types of vore such as oral, anal, etc

What WON'T be in the game:
Spoiler: show
- Non-MC Canonical Human preds (Non-Canon NPCs may be preds)
- Scat or any disposal (except maybe bones?)
- Gore
- Underage
(If a kink isn't here, it's probably because I can't remember it off top at the moment. Feel free to ask.)

v.4 Development Log
- Added patches of grass in almost every city for additional encounters
- Raised the encounter rate of Audino in Viridian forest to 20% from 4% and to 20% from 5% in Route 3; you can farm her for any needed early game EXP, or catch her to add to your team.
- Audino has been implanted in every single route for the purposes of EXP farming. I suggest you follow the recommended level curve set out in my guide if you don't want to end up blowing past every fight.
- Raised the encounter rate of Mawile in Mt. Moon from 5% to 10%, making her easier to add to your team. She still retains her 20% encounter rate at Floor 3 during evening and night times.
- Trainer 1's battle has been given a slight more bite after the harsh nerf it received to compensate for the above changes.
- Route 3 and Mt. Moon trainers have been made stronger after realizing that they're criminally underleveled compared to Brock (who you should have beaten to even have access to these areas). Their new level ranges are 13-17, which should additionally help in leveling up in preparation for Misty.
- Route 24-25 have now been designated as post-Cerulean content (Trainer and Pokemon level ranges are 21+). Players are now expected to have fought and beaten Misty before attempting to continue down Nugget Bridge.
- The Cerulean City Herbalist now sells useful berries in addition to Nature Mints! Head on over for any of your EV training or super-effective-move nullifying needs!
- Misty has been ever so slightly nerfed; her Azumarill has been deprived of its illegal Aqua Ring and has been given Charm instead.
- The S.S. Anne has been finished and will feature a boss battle. I implore everyone to ensure that you're not caught lacking when you get on.
- The Vermilion Gym is online and will feature the first taste in proper double battling. Level range is 32-36.
- The Questing UI plugin has been added! Because of this, I highly recommend that everyone start over their saves because of the touch ups I've done to the earlier areas as a result of this.
- To help with any unforeseen issues concerning the forms of Predator Pokemon, a new NPC in the dev room can reset your Pokemon Pred's form back down to base! Keep in mind, this will force your Pokemon to lose any weight they might have.
v.4 Bug Fix Log:
Spoiler: show
- Fixed a bug that left all TM a one-time use, they will now be infinite as originally intended.
- Fixed a bug that made the Investigator at the entrance to Route 3 from Pewter City repeat his original dialogue before beating Brock even after beating Brock
- Fixed a bug that made the fossil digging NPC in Mt. Moon Floor 1 repeatedly interact with the player
- Fixed a bug that made Professor Oak constantly offer his phone number even after already registering him
- Fixed even more map texture issues
- Fixed a bug concerning Victory Road guards not making you take a step back
- Fixed typos
- Fixed a bunch of bugs concerning the Pokedex
- Fixed a bug that made your computer's username show up as your name if you input nothing into your name
- Fixed a bug that made the Investigator at the entrance to Route 3 from Pewter City repeat his original dialogue before beating Brock even after beating Brock

Changelog:
Spoiler: show

v.32:
- Fixed one of Misty's gym trainers straight up not existing, sorry girl
v.31:
- FIXED A BUG THAT TRAPS YOU IN MT. MOON BECAUSE THE ENTRANCE LINKED TO THE SECOND FLOOR INSTEAD OF THE FIRST HALF OF ROUTE 4
- FIXED A BUG THAT ALSO TRAPS YOU IN MT. MOON BECAUSE THE EXIT LADDER SET YOUR POSITION INTO THE MOUNTAIN INSTEAD OF THE SECOND HALF OF ROUTE 4
v.3:
- Implemented Route 22
- Implemented Pewter City and Pewter Gym
- Implemented Route 3
- Implemented Mt. Moon
- Implemented Route 4
- Implemented Cerulean City and Cerulean Gym
- Implemented 5 new Pokepreds (Tsareena, Ribombee, Pheromosa, Dialga, Arceus)

Known Issues (that aren't gamebreaking enough to warrant a patch):
- TMs are internally listed as TRs, which I mistakenly thought were reusable because I never played Gen 8, and skipped to Gen 9 because I didn't have a Switch back then. So, TMs are talked as reusable, but they will only be single-use for this patch. In v.4, I will be adding an NPC to give you any TMs you may have already used and do not have anymore.
v.4 Predator Ability and Moves (subject to change at any point, no custom animations present for most):
Spoiler: show
Note: All Legendaries do not have complete vore move sets, can only be encountered in the Dev Room, where they cannot be caught, and are flagged as inedible for the time being.
Second note: All preds have Devour at either level 1 or 0, meaning they will always have a default vore move.

Questions I've received and the answers (plus some extra ones):
How hard will this game be?
Spoiler: show
I'm going to be honest, this is going to be a fairly difficult game. I definitely recommend knowing a bit more about Pokemon than going in with no knowledge, especially because I'm liable to start giving later game trainers straight up competitive teams. Which is why I implore you to explore your options! I copied the encounter tables of Radical Red for a reason; to give you all the tools you could ask for!
How will the gameplay, mechanics, and story work?
Spoiler: show
The game will follow along the path of FRLG, but you'll be able to encounter Pokemon from up to Generation 5 (and hopefully all the way to Generation 9 when the time comes). For mechanics, it will be up to date thanks to the Pokemon Essentials mod basically bringing in all the QoL from across the series. As for the story, it will generally follow the pacing of the original FRLG, but will ultimately diverge as a result of the existence of Predator Pokemon. If you want a sneak peak into it, there already are readable lore books within Pallet Town. I just suggest checking on every bookshelf you find, but it's not required. If all you want is the vore and a fun game, you can certainly play it that way!
Is there endo/unbirth/(insert vore kink/type)?
Spoiler: show
The vore system is very foundational in nature and offers the modder a lot of freedom in what to add, so I can certainly give more attention to certain vore sub-kinks if enough people ask for it. Currently, there already are moves for endo, unbirth, anal, and a bunch of others.
Will there be this or that system?
Spoiler: show
The answer is more than likely no. While Essentials and its vore mod is very flexible, it's not Plastic Man. It probably can't handle some of the more outrageous ideas, but I still encourage asking in the case that it might be possible.
Will so and so be a pred in this game?
Spoiler: show
There is a small list of Pokemon who is not planned on being a Predator, and the only real limiting factor is the actual sprite work needed for it. So, the answer is more than likely yes (assuming so and so isn't something like, Bronzong or Cofagrigus).
I want to make some sprite art for the game. Where do I submit it?
Spoiler: show
It'd be great if you just post it publicly on this thread, or on your own gallery (and link that over here). I'd prefer if the assets that went into making this game stay public for anyone to use! Also, to make vore sprites, just know that there is a specific format to it according to the original vore mod developer.
'Create the sprites in 96x96, then upscale it 2x for front sprites, and 3x for back sprites.'
'Create the sprites in 96x96, then upscale it 2x for front sprites, and 3x for back sprites.'
How do I back up/change/transfer my save file? Where is it?
Spoiler: show
Your save file is located in your C:\\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming folder. Specifically, in that folder, you can find a folder with the name of the game (Pokemon Gastric Green v.33, as an example). Inside that folder, you will find a Game.rxdata file that is your save data. Copy it, remove it, transfer it into another Gastric Green folder. Just make sure you don't misplace or lose it!
Are you planning on making a Discord server?
Spoiler: show
Absolutely not. For personal reasons, I won't ever be the owner of a server multiple people exist in. I don't have that kind of responsibility. I'm a lurker by nature so I could never host a private place with that many people.
Where’s the vore? How can I make my Pokémon pred?
Spoiler: show
I’ve carefully documented every single one of the Predators who I’ve added to the game all across its development, and have even put up who is currently available not just implementation-wise, but progression-wise too. Please, for the love of Arceus’ fat ass, just read what I’ve written.
I have this question about how the vore works, or how this vore move/ability works.

Please consult these documents that have been reviewed by the Predmon mod creator themselves. If you still have your question after reading through them, please let me know.

v.3 Dev Log:
Spoiler: show
v.33: This should be the last patch for now. I think I'm gonna start finally working on the next update now. If there's any more bugs, I'll take it into account for next patch unless it's another gamebreaker. Thank you everyone for bearing with my bullshit.
Please be the last notice: GUYS, please redownload v.32. I, being the immensely stupid idiot I am, forgot to set the intro back to the real intro from the quickstart intro while fixing that gym trainer. I can't even say how sorry I am for being such a fuck
v.32 release message: Mother fucker, I'm a fraud (Important notice: Okay, so... I may or may not have just noticed that I accidentally left my Game.rxproject file in the zip file. And you know what? Sure. Consider this game open source! If you have RPGMaker XP, feel free to explore how fucked up my code and map building is lol. Though of course, I do still think it'd be cool if you played through the game normally, and not in debug mode. The point in playing a game is to experience it, not to run through in debug mode.)
v.31 release message: I KNEW IT also btw, if you need to know where your save is on your computer, it's in your Users/(user)/Appdata/roaming folder. You can make back ups of the save in case anything happens.
v.3 release message: HOLY FUCK IT'S FINALLY DONE! Arceus, I've tested and uploaded this game so many times that I actually just straight up hit the limit you can upload to Mediafire (so I had to work around it), and FINALLY, hopefully please Arceus please, the game is READY TO PLAY! And now, I'm going to fucking pass out lol. See y'all later, and hopefully not with a gamebreaking bug in y'all's hands please arceus please
