saw this on weightgaming, apparently quest is deleting all nsfw text games , so theyre trying to archive as many wg/vore/inflation games as they can. On November 2nd of 2026, whatever isn't backed up will be deleted.

I never used the site much since I dont like the UI, but I remember a few games were on that site. I'm sure someone smarter than me might have ideas

What's not allowed
Games that are sexual, or that are written to appeal to a sexual interest or fetish. That includes games that aren't explicit: if a game is built around something people find sexually arousing, it doesn't belong here. For example:

- fetish content, such as vore, inflation, size or transformation fetishes
- games built around nudity, undressing or sexualized humiliation

Did they got pressured by Credit Card companies? Because if so, then that's to be expected.

Sucks to see another site nuke adult content. However for my two cents, I feel like most sites not explicitly meant for adult content are going to cut ties with adult content in the near future. The legal(e.g. Age Verification laws) and corporate(e.g. payment processors) landscape regarding adult content is getting messy at this point, and cutting adult content is likely the easier option for sites like textadventures. Even sites that do somewhat care like pixiv are struggling: see the hypnosis payment processor drama from last week that even spilled over to all-ages content. Link to Otakumantra

I don't see a way to donate to textadventures nor do they seem to been enrolled in GitHub Sponsors(They use GitHub for source code hosting) so I don't see a way for payment processors to knock this one. I'm with the folks on WeightGaming, as textadventures is hosted in the UK it's likely an Age Verification thing.

Not sure what methods sites are using to determine location, but I was just able to access both Aryion and WeightGaming using a Manchester, UK IP(VPN), both logged in and logged out. Using Linux so definitely not broadcasting any Age Signals or device location(no geoclue2 or alternative installed). Not sure if the site is supposed to be blocking UK users, but other NSFW sites correctly block me when using a UK IP so thought I'd mention. Don't want Aryion to get Ofcom'd or something.

Highly likely that it could be that Age Verification law, since unless if I'm running on an ad blocker, I don't see any ads. Unless if it's something that's not related to the mentioned and the site owner be like "We thanos snapping all sexual content" for fun.

I heard about the Pixiv situation way before. I compared Hypnosis with Sleeping/Sleep Walking. If you ban Hypnosis regardless of actions, then that would mean banning anyone sleeping peacefully.

For anyone else out there that needs to save their old TextAdventures.co.uk games all you need to do is download the Quest Viva editor (Quest 6.0 essentially) from https://questviva.com, open up your game's primary .aslx file and follow their guide on publishing (to self host or host on Itch.io) in https://questviva.com/publishing/hosting/.

For me I already have a Itch.io profile so all I needed to do was create a new HTML type Project and upload the .zip file created when following the "Zip with player included" option used during the Publish process.

Then viola! It's playable in the browser, either on Itch.io or your own website, and not hosted by TextAdventures!

It could be unrelated, or just a massive coincidence, but FurAffinity was also hit by those third-party advertisers who want to eradicate all adult content, even if they consider it as "adult" isn’t even always as that.

Thankfully, FurAffinity refuses to comply, likely because those advertisers see plus size characters, barbie doll nudity (literally no nudity parts), and... "Two characters hugging", to be adult content, despite these being normal everyday things that are not adult at all. That's kind of why in a case of Textadventures where even if it's presented in a non-sexual way, it'll still be taken down because someone out there, even if it's just a small minority, may wank it regardless.

FYI these laws were never really meant to be enforced, they were made to scare people into signing their rights away to Digital ID (It didn't work so now they're going after Social Media).
Enforcing these laws would be a phenomenal waste of Police time and resources, and the filth would much rather waste their time in other, more psychotic avenues, like laughing at a young man as he bleeds out in the street.

I already created an archive with every vore game listed in the Quest Games thread on Ekas portal (https://aryion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=79&t=43297) including afew NSFW games by Pykrete (Flesh Cavern, Milking it) that weren't listed here but I didn't want to risk being lost either, you should still check official sources incase these become outdated later, but I figured redundancy and risking someone downloading an old version was preferable to not backing up everything and risk having someone lose their favorite game.

Indeed, most of the other text adventure games are low quality, or boring, because you aren't able to free-roam. and its just a simple do A then B happen story game.

The fact they are already hiding all adult games, means they want people to forget they censored everything.

As of writing: They are already hiding all adult games by default, so you need the link to find them, so we can't even download everything all at once trough the search.

Pledge to pudge was found, and also a bunch of others that weren't listed on the quest thread at all were also added into the drive folder, if you are looking for a specific game I recommend using the search feature, as it will be a bit crowded, and even if it's not listed anywhere, it may still be inside of the folder. (Yes, I did thank the person who PM'd me these)
ALSO It's no problem, some of these games mean a lot to me and inspired me over the years, and I would hate for anyone else to lose a game that they viewed in that way either

The desktop download of Quest Viva should be sufficient to play them locally on your desktop/laptop etc
