I'm not too far from there and consider attending. Is there anybody on this board going?

My boyfriend and I would be attending, but sadly, getting the time off from work is an impossibility for me. Which is sad, because this makes it the second year in a row we couldn't attend and have desperately wanted to.

For what it's worth, we attended the first FCN, and had a total blast. We haven't seen the new hotel yet (haha, the con outgrew its hotel the first year. More popular than anyone really expected), but we've heard from friends that they had an equally great time last year, too. If it's relatively close by for you, definitely give it a try. And sign up for sponsorship - free food and booze for the entire weekend is totally worth the extra cost.

Doubtful, it's only a 5 to 6 hour drive for me but my P.O.S. car hasen't run in over 3 years.

I could've sworn that there was a furry convention in the UK somewhere... barring that, there's always Eurofurence, held in Germany and currently the second-largest furry convention worldwide. I would imagine that it'd be much cheaper for you to get to Germany than it would for a trans-continental flight to the U.S. and come to AnthroCon, at least.

Seems like nobody is going lol, not very encouraging for me to go there. Is it a popular con at all? I had never heard of it before a friend would point it out to me.

When I went, it broke the attendance record for a first-year furry con, and I understand it has been getting bigger. This is only the con's third year, and with both the location and the time of year, I think it's likely to keep growing.
